Sacré bleu! Sarkozy tells Obama how to say “testosterone” in French

What does it say when the President of France has more testosterone than the American President of the United States? As the WSJ described the surreal scene at the UN, “At least the French President tried to sound tough, which isn’t hard when you stand next to Mr. Obama.”

You know you have a problem when the President of France is tougher than the President of the United States.
You know you have a problem when the President of France is tougher than the President of the United States.

What does it say when the President of France has more testosterone than the American President of the United States?

As the WSJ described the surreal scene at the UN, “At least the French President tried to sound tough, which isn’t hard when you stand next to Mr. Obama.” (Ouch!) After Obama used most of his United Nations speech to blather on about climate change and “a world without nuclear weapons,” Sarkozy brought him back to the real world.

Obama said, “We must never stop until we see the day when nuclear arms have been banished from the face of the earth.”

“We live in the real world, not the virtual world,” Sarkozy responded. “And the real world expects us to make decisions.”

Sarkozy continued to school Obama with more teachable moments:

“President Obama dreams of a world without weapons … but right in front of us two countries are doing the exact opposite.

“Iran since 2005 has flouted five security council resolutions. North Korea has been defying council resolutions since 1993.

“I support the extended hand of the Americans, but what good has proposals for dialogue brought the international community? More uranium enrichment and declarations by the leaders of Iran to wipe a UN member state off the map,” he continued, referring to Israel.

Talk about timing: Just as Obama wants to unilaterally lay down his nuclear arms, another inconvenient truth crops up in the form of a second Iranian nuclear facility. Seems like the last time Obama talked about disarming, the North Koreans tested another missile. Not that it fazed Obama.

Needless to say, we were shocked—shocked!—that Sarkozy’s mocking response to Obama’s utopian UN speechifying went unreported in U.S. newspapers.

Is it any wonder that newspapers continue to lose readers when they won’t even print news?

U.N. welcomes Ahmadinejad, Israeli prime minister asks “Have you no shame?”

The United Nations welcomes Ahmadinejad, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu asks those who did not walk out on the Holocaust denier, “Have you no shame?”

Benjamin Netanyahu asks the question any reasonable person would ask.

“The man who called the Holocaust a lie spoke at this podium. To those who refused to come and to those who left in protest, I commend you. You stood up for moral clarity and you brought honor to your countries. But to those who gave this Holocaust denier a hearing, I say on behalf of my people, the Jewish people, and decent people everywhere — have you no shame? Have you no decency?”

Sadly, the answer seems crystal clear.

Latest laughable U.N. global warming claim: 50 million may be displaced by 2010

Koko Warner, a senior U.N. researcher at the loftily-named UN University Institute for Environment & Human Society, claims 25-50 million people will be become refugees as climate change unleashes more natural disasters and slashes farm output.

"Damn it. Where's my car? I know I parked it around here somewhere."
"Damn it. Where's my car? I know I parked it around here somewhere."

Quick. Call Bekins. Because a whole lot of people need to move in the next 16 months.

Koko Warner, a senior U.N. researcher at the loftily-named UN University Institute for Environment & Human Society, claims 25-50 million people will be become refugees as climate change unleashes more natural disasters and slashes farm output.

The Thaindian reports Koko’s dire predictions from the heart of the subcontinent:

“Climate change will displace 25-50 million people by next year. The situation will be the worst in the poorer countries.”

The Thaindian continued:

“Most people will seek shelter in their own countries while others (will) cross borders in search of better odds.

Muslims nations want to muzzle UN’s free speech watchdog

UN Special Rapporteur La Rue found is in trouble at the Organization of the Islamic Conference because he he said, “Restrictions (on free speech) should never be used to protect particular institutions or abstract notions, concepts or beliefs, including religious ones.” Islam.

UN Special Rapporteur Frank La Rue doing whatever it is special rapporteurs do.
UN Special Rapporteur Frank LaRue doing whatever it is special rapporteurs do.

Frank La Rue is a UN Special Rapporteur on the right to free expression. (Only a bloated bureaucracy like the UN could come up with a title like “rapporteur.”)

Anyway, La Rue found himself in hot water last week at the Organization of the Islamic Conference. All because he had the nerve to say, “Restrictions (on free speech) should never be used to protect particular institutions or abstract notions, concepts or beliefs, including religious ones.”

He went on to say that “defamation of religions does not accord with international standards on freedom of expression.”

That’s when the couscous hit the fan. Angry Muslim representatives from Africa, the Gulf States, Pakistan, Algeria, Egypt, Malaysia, Sudan and Yemen want La Rue fired for…well…for supporting free speech.

Luckily, La Rue found support from the United States, the United Kingdom and several other nations who pointed out that the UN’s free speech rapporteur should feel free to speak freely.

In the words of MediaWatchWatch.org, “Allah forbid that an officer responsible for the protection of freedom of expression should be free to express his support for freedom of expression!”

Brain-rotting environmental propaganda
aimed at children

Here’s our two-word review of this animated United Nations Environment Program ozone fright film:

Insipid crappola.

Aimed at impressionable kids, it follows an ozone molecule named Ozzy Ozone and an albatross named Alberta as they “take a voyage of discovery to find out exactly who and what is attacking the ozone layer.” Of course, it also contains the requisite preaching designed to convince children that they can make a difference.

“Luckily,” the video says, “we’re protected by a brave little band of defenders at the very edge of space. The ozone molecules that make up our planet’s ozone layer. Despite their tiny size, our ozone defenders are amazingly strong and smart.”

Yes, the U.N. imparts intelligence to ozone molecules. But based on one viewing, that’s more than we’re willing to say about whomever is responsible for this outrageous child propaganda.

Obama wins another election, U.S. voted onto vile U.N. Human Rights Council

Are we the only ones who find it odd that all members of the U.N. Human Rights Council run unopposed?
Are we the only ones who find it odd that all members of the U.N. Human Rights Council run unopposed?

Why that Barack Obama guy is unstoppable. First he gets elected President of the United States, then he gets the United States elected to the most corrupt organization within the remarkably corrupt United Nations.

You’ll be proud to know that the United States now sits on the U.N. Human Rights Council. Right alongside such notable human rights advocates as Cuba, China, Russia, and Saudi Arabia.

We’ve boycotted the commission in the past because it served primarily as a venue to bash Israel.

Here’s how Associated Press reported this milestone achievement for President Obama:

Former President George W. Bush’s administration boycotted the council over its repeated criticism of Israel and its refusal to cite flagrant rights abuses in Sudan and elsewhere.

But the U.S. announced in late March that it would seek to join the council to help make it more effective, reflecting President Barack Obama’s desire to create a “new era of engagement” with the international community.

Even though the U.S. did not face competition in its regional group for a seat on the 47-member council, it needed to get at least 97 votes — a majority of the 192 U.N. member states — in a secret ballot. It did far better, winning 167 votes.

“We received 90 percent of the valid votes cast,” U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice pointed out after the vote. “And we’re gratified by the strong showing of encouragement for the United States to again play a meaningful leadership role in multilateral organizations including the United Nations on the very vitally important set of issues relating to human rights and democracy.”

Let’s review: We ran for this obscene council unopposed and got 90% of the vote.

On one hand, the 90% figure is so high that it sounds suspiciously like the election results announced in a country like North Korea or Cuba. On the other hand, we ran unopposed and still couldn’t get one out of ten countries to vote for us.

We don’t know which is worse.

Congressional Black Caucus to be renamed Congressional Black Circus

Unidentified member of the Congressional Black Circus on his way to the U.N. Racism Conference
The President of the United States is a former member of the Congressional Black Caucus. Yet he has remained strangely slient regarding the group’s recent efforts to become the biggest circus this side of Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey.

First, the group made a high-profile visit to Cuba last month. Members of the Caucus embarrassed themselves by acting aged dictator Fidel Castro’s rock ‘n roll groupies.

Now they’ve taken Obama to task for doing something right — boycotting the UN racism conference, the follow-up to a 2001 confab that defined Zionism as racism. The conference was also boycotted by Israel, Canada, Italy, Sweden, the Netherlands and Australia.

The Telegraph UK describes it this way: “Only the United Nations could hold an ‘anti-racism’ conference that is actually a celebration of anti-Semitism featuring genocidal maniacs like Iranian president and holocaust denier Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. World leaders are already gathering for the Durban Review Conference in Geneva to be held from April 20-24, one of the biggest hate fests on the planet, wasting millions of dollars.”

Members of the Congressional Black Circus attended the hatefest on their own. But we suspect the American taxpayers will somehow end up footing the bill.

It’s called “World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance.”

Hey, at least they left out “Tea Parties.”

Danny Glover and United Nations want you to apologize. And pay reparations. And worse.

Hugo Chavez leads and Danny Glover follows as they dance around the issues.
Hugo Chavez leads and Danny Glover follows as they dance around the issues.
Actor and activist Danny Glover, admirer of Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro, has plans for you.

Glover has an article in MiddleEastOnline.com titled “Race and the Obama Administration.” He excoriates the Bush administration for walking out on a 2001 U.N. anti-racism conference. He “urges the Obama administration to commit to participation at the U.N.’s Durban Review Conference against racism and intolerance – and to reclaim American leadership in the struggle for human rights.”

Glover paints a pretty picture of the peace and love and harmony that would have ruled the previous conference if only the evil Bush and the even more evil Israelis hadn’t walked out and ruined any chance of approval for the dandy resolution the delegates had written.

You already know everything you need to know about Glover. He pals around with Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez and never misses an opportunity to bash America.

The 2001 conference was an exercise in reparations lovin’, Israeli hatin’, American loathin’ and wealth redistributin’. You can read more about it here.

Just what you’d expect from Castro, Chavez, and Glover love.

If Obama’s latest Justice Department nominee doesn’t scare you, nothing will

Harold Koh, President Obama's frightening nominee for the Justice Department
Harold Koh, President Obama's frightening nominee for the Justice Department

President Obama just nominated a character named Harold Koh to be the State Department’s top legal advisors. He sounds more dangerous than unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers.

According to the New York Post, Koh believes:

Judges should interpret the Constitution according to other nations’ legal “norms.” Sharia law could apply to disputes in US courts. The United States constitutes an “axis of disobedience” along with North Korea and Saddam-era Iraq.

Until he was nominated for the State Department position, Koh was dean of the Yale Law School. He believes in a “transnational legal process.” That is, he believes the distinctions between United States law and international law should be eliminated.

What would this look like in a practical sense? Well, California voters have overruled their courts, which had imposed same-sex marriage on the state. Koh would like to see such matters go up the chain through federal courts — which, in turn, should look to the rest of the world. If Canada, the European Human Rights Commission and the United Nations all say gay marriage should be legal — well, then, it should be legal in California too, regardless of what the state’s voters and elected representatives might say.

It’s a bad day today. Almost nothing in the news is funny.

UN’s Anti-Blasphemy Resolution restricts free speech, promotes Islam

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ji-qdC5zYd4If an U.N. Anti-Blasphemy Resolution is passed, it will outlaw criticism of Islam in any form. Even talking about the religion’s influence on terrorism could be a crime.

“A group of 57 Organization of Islamic Countries,” a February 25 Lou Dobbs report says, “the largest block at the United Nations, has been pushing it, out of concern, it says, for anti-Islamic behavior, saying, “This resolution is a major step towards sensitizing the international community on the serious impact of defamation of religions….”

“While appearing in name to promote tolerance, the implementation of this concept actually fosters intolerance and has served to justify restrictions on human rights and fundamental freedoms.”

Backers of the Anti-Blasphemy Resolution say their goal is simply to curtail speech that offends religion, specifically Islam. Religious groups and free speech advocates say the true goal is to extend the influence of Sharia law in the West.

The attached video is shocking. So shocking that you’ll immediately wonder why every major news organization hasn’t carried it. This measure is obviously in direct conflict with the U.S. Constitution and a clear violation of free speech.

Lou Dobbs is outraged. Leftwing icon Christopher Hitchens is outraged. We’re outraged. You’ll undoubtedly be outraged, too.

Press ignores UN admission that Israel never shelled school in Gaza

israel_flag1This is one of those stories the media never covers. And one of the reasons we hate them.

During the recent Gaza conflict, it was widely reported that Israel Defense Forces had bombed a U.N. school in the Jabalya refugee camp. This led activists to accuse Israel of war crimes and U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to demand an investigation.

Now the U.N. reports that “a clerical error” led them to falsely accuse Israel of the attack. The international organization’s January 6 field report said an IDF shell had caused fatalities when it hit outside the school, but an updated field report dated January 7 said the shell hit the school itself.

U.N. spokesperson Roseanne Roseannadanna said, “Oops. Never mind.”

Funny how coverage is so much spottier when it comes to retractions. Especially when it involves Israel.

Coalition of dictatorships says China is democratic wonderland

The U.N. Human Rights Council has just rejected allegations that China suppressed dissent, restricted free speech and repressed minorities in Tibet and Xinjiang.

In fact, China won praise from some of the world’s most oppressive regimes — including Sudan, Cuba, Iran, Burma, Egypt and Zimbabwe.

“There is no censorship in China,” a Chinese representative insisted. Then he added that Chinese citizens are free to worship and to follow whatever religion they choose.

Chinese envoy Li Baodong angrily stated that Western and Latin American nations that had raised allegations of abuse were merely politicizing human rights issues.

In related news, the U.N. Human Rights Council softball league announced that Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had been voted Most Valuable Player and that Libyan strongman Moammar Khadafi was named Comeback Player of the Year.
