Blind sow finds acorn: Chris Matthews is correct on an issue

To say that Chris Matthews is wrong on virtually every issue is to state the obvious. But last night the Hardball host nailed the court decision against Arizona’s illegal alien law. Absolutely nailed it.

To say that Chris Matthews is wrong on virtually every issue is to state the obvious. But last night the Hardball host nailed the court decision against Arizona’s illegal alien law. Absolutely nailed it.

Matthews: Let me finish tonight with this federal injunction against the new Arizona immigration law. First of all, it is a killer issue politically for the Democrats this fall and a huge windfall for the Right. It will anger even those people who believe the Arizona law went too far. It will dramatize the main case raised by the Tea Party people, that the federal government in Washington has become too powerful, that the rights of states have been terribly abridged. That is the political consequence and it will be felt mightily this November.

Economics 101: Paul Ryan is the professor, Chris Matthews is the reluctant student

Chris Matthews thought he had Republican Congressman Paul Ryan trapped and condescendingly said, “So, in other words, all this bitching about the deficit doesn’t mean squat.” That’s when Ryan taught Matthews a couple lesson.

Poor Chris Matthews. He thought he had Republican Congressman Paul Ryan trapped and condescendingly said, “So, in other words, all this bitching about the deficit doesn’t mean squat.”

That’s when Ryan taught Matthews a couple lessons and left the sad, little MSNBC host sputtering.

Dunce cap for Matthews.

Racist! Racist! Racist! Racist! Racist! Racist! (An exclusive IHTM preview of the 2010 Democrat platform)

Democrat Rep. Bob Inglis appeared on Hardball and made it clear to Chris Matthews that the Democrats’ platform for the 2010 elections will be “Everyone else is a racist”.

Democrat Rep. Bob Inglis appeared on Hardball and made it clear to Chris Matthews that the Democrats’ platform for the 2010 elections will be “Everyone else is a racist”.

This post-racial era ushered in by Barack Obama is just so damn beautiful that it brings tears to our eyes.

Really.

Chris Matthews just can’t figure out how racist South Carolina voters can vote for an Indian-American

Chris Matthews is completely incapable of comprehending how those racist voters in South Carolina can possibly support Indian-American Republican Nikki Haley while rejecting black-white Barack Obama.

Race is everything to the left. And that leaves poor, confused Chris Matthews completely incapable of comprehending how those racist voters in South Carolina can possibly support Indian-American Republican Nikki Haley while rejecting black-white Barack Obama.

“How do you figure your state out?” Matthews asked Rep. Bob Inglis. “It’s pretty conservative obviously. It’s Strom Thurmond country in many ways and, and it has people like DeMint pretty far over and then people like Lindsey Graham who are sort of regular conservatives. But then you nominated, your party has nominated an Indian-American woman, Nikki Haley. Obviously an attractive candidate, she knows how to present herself obviously, but what’s that about? Is that just an interesting little aspect? “It’s okay to be Indian-American but we got a problem with this black president?” What’s that about?”

That whirring sound you hear is Martin Luther King spinning in his grave.

Olbermann, Matthews, Fineman take turns ripping Obama’s “unpresidential” oil speech

Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann and Howard Fineman just didn’t know what to make of President Obama’s Oval Office Address on the Gusher in the Gulf. But they knew they didn’t like it.

They’re sad. They’re angry. They’re confused. Damn, it’s a beautiful thing to watch.

Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann and Howard Fineman just didn’t know what to make of President Obama’s Oval Office Address on the Gusher in the Gulf. But they knew they didn’t like it.

RealClearPolitics has this handy, dandy summary of the trio’s disappointment:

Olbermann: “It was a great speech if you were on another planet for the last 57 days.”

Matthews: compared Obama to Carter.

Olbermann: “Nothing specific at all was said.”

Matthews: “No direction.”

Fineman: “He wasn’t specific enough.”

Olbermann: “I don’t think he aimed low, I don’t think he aimed at all. It’s startling.”

Fineman: Obama should be acting like a “commander-in-chief.”

Matthews: Ludicrous that he keeps saying [Secretary of Energy] Chu has a Nobel prize. “I’ll barf if he does it one more time.”

Matthews: “A lot of meritocracy, a lot of blue ribbon talk.”

Matthews: “I don’t sense executive command.”

Say goodnight, Mr. President. When you’ve lost MSNBC, you’ve lost several dozen Americans.

Chris Matthews does the unthinkable, praises Rush Limbaugh

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews played it pretty straight during the Clinton impeachment debacle. And as he demonstrates in this clip, one can safely assume that was because he’s no fan of the Clintons.

Despite the thrill he gets up his leg whenever Barack Obama speaks, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews played it pretty straight during the Clinton impeachment debacle. And as he demonstrates in this clip, one can safely assume that was because he’s no fan of the Clintons.

Matthews: Let’s take a look at Rush — I have to do this — Rush Limbaugh today impersonating Bill Clinton and assessing the situation. Let’s listen to Rushbo.

Andrea Mitchell: Oh dear!

(Begin video clip)

Rush: (Doing Clinton impression) I’m going to kiss your (BLEEP) if you kiss my (BLEEP). I’ll make sure that you — if you come groveling to me, I’ll be happy to help you out here. Now look at what has happened here, they go to Bill Clinton. He’s famous for getting people jobs. Monica Lewinsky offered a job at Revlon. She was offered a job at the United Nations. She didn’t take any of them. But they’ve got Bill Clinton. Isn’t it great, folks, that they found a guy who they know will commit perjury to carry the water here?

(End video clip)

Matthews: Well sometimes even he can get it right. That was pretty good lampooning, I’ve got to say.

“That was pretty good lampooning”? Very strange wording and oddly reminiscent of Richard Nixon saying to David Frost, “Do any fornicating this weekend?”

Or is it just us?

Heartbreak! Chris Matthews says, “This President is not acting like Commander-In-Chief.”

The amazing thing is that it’s taken 16 months and numerous unresolved crises for MSNBC host and presidential sycophant Chris Matthews to get over the thrill that goes up his leg whenever he hears Obama speak.

Pardon our Sudanese but, “No shit, Sherlock. Where’d you get your first clue?”

The amazing thing is that it’s taken 16 months and numerous unresolved crises for MSNBC host and presidential sycophant Chris Matthews to get over the thrill that goes up his leg whenever he hears Obama speak.

He’s an empty suit, Chris, an empty suit.

Chris Matthews wants to nationalize the oil industry. And while we’re at it, let’s execute a few people.

Chris Matthews was unhappy on Monday night. Very, very angry. And the oil industry was the target of his anger. “Why doesn’t the President go in there, nationalize an industry and get the job done for the people?” the MSNBC host ranted.

Chris Matthews was unhappy on Monday night. Very, very angry. And the oil industry was the target of his anger.

“Why doesn’t the President go in there, nationalize an industry and get the job done for the people?” the MSNBC host ranted.

But that wasn’t enough. He also wants to follow China’s example and execute the people responsible for the oil spill. “They execute people for this. Major industrial leaders that commit crimes like this.”

And while he was on a roll, he took aim at capitalism: “Everybody says ‘Capitalism is great. Unbridled free enterprise is great. Look at it! This is great, isn’t it?'”

Now can we please put to rest any doubts that Chris Matthews is a socialist? Please?

Whimpering, simpering Chris Matthews begs for Limbaugh listeners to turn on talk show king

This is sad. Really sad. Chris Matthews is now hoping to find one dissatisfied Rush Limbaugh listener who will come on his show and badmouth the talk show king.

But what are the odds that he can find such a person within his miniscule audience?

This is sad. Really sad. Chris Matthews is now hoping to find one dissatisfied Rush Limbaugh listener who will come on his show and badmouth the talk show king.

But what are the odds that he can find such a person within his miniscule audience?

Matthews: And out on a Limbaugh! We’re issuing a challenge tonight and every night to elected Republicans. Come on Hardball please sir and madam and tell us you disagree with Rush on anything! Tell us you’ve had it with his distortions, his misrepresentations, his outright falsehoods. We invite you to tell us he’s not the leader of the Republican Party. It’s our standing offer. Come on Hardball and tell us Rush isn’t telling the truth.

When he finally finds the Limbaugh listener he’s looking for, we suspect that he’ll be shrouded in shadows and have his voice distorted like someone who’s turned on the Mafia.

And even with those precautions, he’ll undoubtedly sound remarkably similar to Keith Olbermann and announce that Limbaugh is the world’s worst person.

Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.

My Dearest Jane:

We must end our relationship. For although my love for you is deep, I fear that our relationship can never truly flower because I love another. Yes, Jane dearest, my heart aches for you, but my leg tingles for Barack Obama. He is like no other man I’ve ever met and I cannot get him out of my mind.

Be free, Jane. My fondest wish is that you can find a love as true as the one I have found with Barry.

Love always,

Chris

Regime is a bad, bad word. Unless President Obama uses it in reference to the Bush administration.

Now wait just a damn second, Mr. President. We believed Matthews and all those other outraged libs when they told us “regime” is a bad word that must never be used.

President Obama talks to CNBC’s John Harwood about financial reform, raising taxes, and how Americans should think about Wall Street.

Everything’s going along just fine and then POW. At the 5:30 mark, Obama channels Chris Matthews and refers to “the Bush regime.”

Never mind.

Pot calls kettle black: Chris Matthews criticizes Bret Baier for interrupting the President

Chris Matthews is upset – very upset – that Bret Baier had the temerity to repeatedly interrupt the Greatest President In History during his Fox News interview.

Hilarious. Absolutely hilarious. Funniest thing ever on MSNBC.

Chris Matthews is upset – very upset – that Bret Baier had the temerity to repeatedly interrupt the Greatest President In History during his Fox News interview.

At least Matthews is consistent. After all, this is a guy who never allows his guests to interrupt his questions with answers.

Yeah, that Chris Matthews.

But Matthews’ comments pale in comparison to the plums that come out of the mouths of guests Joan Walsh and Cynthia Tucker. Listen to the whole segment.

Democrat dog pile: Even Chris Matthews attacks the Slaughter Strategy

Make MSNBC’s Chris Matthews the latest liberal to jump on the Slaughter Strategy dog pile.

It’s not like Matthews thinks Deem and Pass is unethical or even unconstitutional. No, not at all. He’s merely worried that this convoluted Parliamentary procedure will cost the Democrats dearly in 2010 and 2012.

Chris Matthews has a very short memory for very short memoirs

There’s only one way to explain this clip: Chris Matthews is on a mission to prove to the world that he is a complete moron.

There’s only one way to explain this clip: Chris Matthews is on a mission to prove to the world that he is a complete moron.

The ratings-challenged MSNBC host actually attacked newly-elected Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown for signing a book deal just weeks after being elected.

We learn today that Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown, who’s been a Senator for just 35 days, has a book deal. According to the Wall Street Journal, Brown’s expected to write about his upbringing, his early career, and how he beat Martha Coakley to win his Senate seat. Maybe he can call it It’s Not About the Truck. Just a thought, but didn’t people used to write the memoirs after their careers? This guy’s been in office what, a month?

Oops. Matthews seems to have forgotten a certain president whose first memoir came out before he’d ever run for office and whose second one came out after he’d been in the Senate for just a matter of months.

Chris Matthews thinks Liz Cheney has super powers.
Or something.

Chris Matthews tries to compare former Vice President Dick Cheney to Jor-El, Superman’s father on the planet Krypton.

We are concerned about the health of MSNBC’s Chris Matthews. Very concerned. The MSNBC host has apparently suffered an unannounced stroke that has left him unable to put together a coherent question. Take this clip, for example, where he tries to compare former Vice President Dick Cheney to Jor-El, Superman’s father on the planet Krypton.

Matthews: One of the new ideas that Dick Cheney’s trying to sell right now is his daughter, Steve. He reminds me of that Marlon Brando character in…in Superman up on Krypton. The island is about to…the planet is about to blow up. So he puts his little kid, in this case Superman, into a little capsule and sends him to Earth. It’s like Cheney knows his whole world is blowing up, so he’s put his little daughter in this capsule and is sending her to us. It just seems like he’s spending all his time, it’s kind of like a booster rocket, building one for his offspring. What’s going on with this family?

We were tempted to close this out this story with a Bizarro reference, but it would have been just be too damn easy.

Chris Matthews flummoxed: Why did the Democrats dump Charlie Rangel like a pair of old shoes?

This clip epitomizes Chris Matthews’ problem as a TV host. He’s so far to the left that he can’t comprehend why Charlie Rangel is in trouble.

This clip epitomizes Chris Matthews’ problem as a TV host. He’s so far to the left that he can’t comprehend why Charlie Rangel is in trouble. Matthews is somehow able to convince himself that the corrupt congressman’s long list of fraudulent misdeeds couldn’t possibly have been the real reason he had to step down as Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee.

As Matthews spins liberal paranoia, he’s brought back to reality by Joe Conanson of the New York Observer:

Matthews: What is it that has led, for example, to the New York Times…I’m always skeptical of motive. Excuse me for that. I don’t think all journalism’s objective. Why have they been pounding this guy? Is it because of what he did or did he vote wrong on something?

Conanson: Well, Chris, I think it was journalism.

“Hmmmm, journalism,” Matthews thought to himself. “I’ve heard people use that word, but I’m not really sure what it is.”

Chris Matthews predicts the end of the Democrat party

Andrea Mitchell and Chris Matthews are discussing the ObamaCare Summit.
She said, “You’re asking the House members to vote on something on the bet that the Senate will follow through.”

“It’s more than a bet,” Matthews replied, “because if the Senate doesn’t do it, it’s the end of the Democratic Party.”

Reader Alert: Do not watch this video unless you enjoy watching a man’s total mental disintegration

The Hardball host Chris Matthews started his Monday show with a twelve-minute rant against Sarah Palin because she put crib notes on her hand instead of putting a whole speech on a Teleprompter.

Pity poor Chris Matthews. He’s lost his mind. Completely lost his mind.

The Hardball host started his Monday show with a twelve-minute rant against Sarah Palin because she put crib notes on her hand instead of putting a whole speech on a Teleprompter.

Matthews: Good evening. I`m Chris Matthews in New York. Leading off tonight: Can a palm reader be president? What do we think of kids in school who write stuff on their hands to get through a test? What do we think of a would-be political leader who does it to look like she`s speaking without notes? What do we think of Sarah Palin this weekend answering pre-screened questions from a like-minded audience in Nashville, a tea party convention, and still having to put a cheat sheet on her palm to answer what she calls the basics of her beliefs? How can someone presume to be auditioning for president when they can`t even answer questions they know are coming?

That was just the opening. It got worse. Much worse.

As the ratings go lower, MSNBC gets shriller. If that’s possible.

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews has recovered from his election night depression and is now attacking anyone who continues to be as blind as he once was.

That includes delusional Congressman Alan Grayson (D-NeverNeverLand), who says Democrats can still pass ObamaCare via the reconciliation maneuver.
“You know you can’t do it,” Matthews responds. “You’re pandering to the netroots right now. I know what you’re doing.”

Matthews is hilarious. He’s like a jilted lover who now hates everything about the woman he used to worship.

Chris Matthews says he forgot Obama is black, doesn’t mention if he forgot Obama is red

We’re not sure what Matthews thought Obama may have become, since he’s constantly reminded us for the last year that Obama is America’s first black president and that’s the only reason conservatives don’t like him. But that’s what the MSNBC host said.
