It’s not unusual for the media to lie about President Obama’s predecessor. What’s unusual is that Harry Smith’s lie was so outrageous that even President Obama felt compelled to correct it. In fact, Obama actually laughs at the absurdity of Harry Smith’s comments.

You seem to overlook the fact that it was a fair characterization of Dick Cheney’s backbiting. A point on which Obama agreed.
