Neil Cavuto’s tax reform plan: What about the 51% who pay no taxes?

Neil Cavuto argues that the intelligent way to raise revenue is to squeeze a few tax dollars out of the millions of Americans who currently get a free ride.

Neil Cavuto treated Democrat Rep. Steve Cohen like a bulldog treats a bone. He latched onto the Congressman with his teeth and wouldn’t let go, arguing that the intelligent way to raise revenue is to squeeze a few tax dollars out of the millions of Americans who currently get a free ride.

Mediaite has the details:

Rep. Cohen came on the program and argued that a tax reform bill without revenue increases was near worthless, and railing against the “intransigence” of the Tea Party. Cavuto wasn’t buying any of that, however, telling him that when he “said shared sacrifice… none of you ever mention the 51% of Americans that don’t pay taxes at all.” Rep. Cohen argued that that’s “not the issue” and, anyway, “most of those people don’t have any money” to pay taxes with, and argument Cavuto described as a “red herring” since there were far more people not paying taxes than small corporations getting breaks. “Before you start demanding that some people pay more, maybe get everyone to put skin in the game?” he offered.

Cavuto continued his bulldog impression:

“You keep hitting up the same group and you leave more than half the people in this country out of it entirely.” Rep. Cohen argued that it made no sense to make people who had little money pay taxes. “You go where the money is,” he argued, asking facetiously if, instead of banks, they should go after pawn shops. “It’s not balanced when you leave a whole group out,” Cavuto concluded, exasperatedly. “It drives me nuts.”

As Mrs Editor said, “We need a flat tax. Everyone pays the same percentage no matter how much they make.”

Let’s put your hands together for the lovely and effervescent Mrs Editor.

Small businesswoman calls out Obama’s idiotic economic policies

Amilya Antonetti, Chairman & CEO of AMA Productions, is a small businesswomen with big, brass balls. She appeared on Fox News and took it to the Obama administration.

Amilya Antonetti, Chairman & CEO of AMA Productions, is a small businesswomen with big, brass balls.

She appeared on Fox News and took it to the Obama administration. She’s afraid of a double dip recession. She’s worried about Obama administration regulations. She fears higher interest rates. She wants President Obama to apologize to the American people.

Looks like Neil Cavuto may be just a little afraid of her.

Neil Cavuto says, “It’s time to dig out.” Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson says, “It’s time to pig out.”

Cavuto says, “We’re quickly becoming a banana republic.” Johnson replies, “I love to shop at Banana Republic.”

OK, perhaps those weren’t the Democrat Congresswoman’s exact words, but our paraphrase isn’t that far off.

Cavuto says, “We’re going to hell in a hand basket.” Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson replies, “Let’s buy matching shoes.”

Neil Cavuto says, “We have to try something different.” Johnson replies, “We have to try the same thing.”

Cavuto says, “Let’s raise hell.” Johnson replies, “Let’s raise taxes.”

Cavuto says, “We’re quickly becoming a banana republic.” Johnson replies, “I love to shop at Banana Republic.”

Good lord, we’re screwed. Really, really screwed. Greece, here we come.

Sheila Jackson Lee on a hot streak: Her third stupid comment in three days

Fox News host Neil Cavuto spent eight minutes with the Sheila Jackson Lee, the incredibly dense Democrat Congresswoman from Texas. Eight painful minutes trying to convince her that her defense of ObamaCare was flawed.

Pity poor Neil Cavuto. The Fox News host spent eight minutes with the Sheila Jackson Lee, the incredibly dense Democrat Congresswoman from Texas. Eight painful minutes trying to convince her that her defense of ObamaCare was flawed. Eight minutes Cavuto will never get back.

Cavuto and Jackson Lee disagree, but keep in mind that she once asked a NASA administrator if a Mars rover would be able to send back photos of the place where Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin planted the American flag.

She’s a sharp one, that Sheila Jackson Lee.

NOTE: The freeze frame may make it look like these are the same videos, but they’re not. Watch both for the full, glorious display of Jackson Lee’s genius.

Now you’ve done it, Chris Matthews. You’ve gone and pissed off Neil Cavuto.

Don’t know if we’ve ever seen Neil Cavuto attack a host on another news network. Well, he made up for lost time with this one.

Don’t know if we’ve ever seen Neil Cavuto attack a host on another news network. Well, he made up for lost time with this one.

Matthews said Chris Christie couldn’t be president because he was too fat. Matthews points out that if we can have a black president and if both parties can put up creditable female candidates, then the concept of a guy who shops for his suits at Ed’s Big & Tall Shop shouldn’t surprise anyone.

OK, well, he didn’t exactly put it that way, but that’s what we heard.

He also didn’t say, “Chris Matthews is a pathetic schumuck,” but we heard that, too.

Considering the ratings of their respective networks, we assume more people heard Matthews’ comments on Cavuto’s Fox show than heard the original comments on MSNBC.

Neil Cavuto says “one and done,” predicts Obama won’t run for a second term

Every time a president gets down in the polls during his first term, some pundit predicts that he won’t run for a second term. You may remember that Rush Limbaugh made the same prediction about Bill Clinton and it seemed just as reasonable then as it seems now.

Nevertheless, Fox News’ Neil Cavuto makes an interesting argument.

Neil Cavuto says, “Obama’s poll numbers are dropping because people don’t trust him anymore.”

Neil Cavuto rattles of a list of reasons that people don’t trust President Obama anymore. Which leads to our explanation of one of the major differences between conservatives and liberals.

Conservatives say, “His numbers are dropping because we don’t trust him anymore.”

Liberals say, “We don’t trust him anymore because his poll numbers are dropping.”

Democrats didn’t read the ObamaCare bill before they passed it. And that’s the Republicans’ fault.

Democrat Xavier Baccera of California embarrassed himself by going on Neil Cavuto’s show and blaming everyone but the Democrats for the fact that Congress’ unwittingly eliminated its own sweetheart healthcare program when it approved ObamaCare.

But we seem to be making progress. At least he didn’t blame George Bush nor Ronald Reagan.

Cavuto intentionally trying to drive Olbermann insane, says President Obama has lost his soul.

In this video, Fox News host Neil Cavuto delivers one of his most eloquent monologues, explaining why President Obama is dropping in the polls.

This is like one of those old movies where one character intentionally tries to drive another character completely insane.

In this video, Fox News host Neil Cavuto delivers one of his most eloquent monologues, explaining why President Obama is dropping in the polls.

Cavuto’s answer? He hasn’t just lost his mojo, he’s lost his soul.

Prepare to find Keith Olbermann curled up in the fetal position in the corner of his MSNBC studio. Because discussing Obama’s soul could put him right over the edge he so desperately clings to.

You know, sometimes Ed Koch makes a lot of sense for a Democrat

Here’s former mayor of New York Ed Koch, a Democrat, talking to Fox News’ Neil Cavuto. For a guy who says he supports Obama, Koch doesn’t sound much like a guy who supports Obama.

But, then, why should this program be any different?

(Note: We tried and tried and tried to come up with a way to use a “caulk seeker” pun, but failed. Trust us, it wasn’t a sudden a sudden outbreak of maturity that prevented it.)

Fox News more dominant than ever, crushing MSNBC and CNN

Fox News is racking up the highest ratings in its 13-year history. The overall ratings at Rupert Murdoch’s network have shot up a remarkable 33% among Total Viewers and up 44% in the Adults 25-54 demographic in the last year. In primetime (Monday-Friday) the network’s dominance is even more shocking. It’s up 35% in Total Viewers and up 54% in younger viewers.

MSNBC and CNN have all but ceded primetime to Fox News, which racks up more total viewers and more younger viewers than the two runner up cable news networks combined.

You probably won’t find the following list taped on the refrigerator in the employee lounge at either MSNBC or CNN. It shows that Fox News has all ten of the most watched programs on cable news:

Time Program Total Viewers
8pm O’Reilly Factor 3,188,000

9pm Hannity 2,341,000
5pm Glen Beck 2,053,000

Is Miss California being recruited by Fox News?
If not, why not?

Carrie Prejean, the California beauty who would have won the Miss USA title had it not been for the militant gay egomaniac Perez Hilton, showed up on Neil Cavuto’s Fox program on Tuesday.

She was fabulous. Warm. Gracious. Intelligent. Well-spoken. Amazingly, she appears to genuinely hold no ill will toward Perez Hilton. And she seems to have all the right points of view to qualify for a job at Fox News.

Here’s one brief exchange between Cavuto and Parjean.

Cavuto: (wondering how she would have answered the question posed to Miss Arizona) What do you think of the bailouts?
Carrie: I don’t feel that taxpayers’ money should be used for bailing out companies. I don’t. Do I agree that they should be used for welfare? No. I don’t.

But then Cavuto got the heart of the matter – Prejean’s plans for the future:

Cavuto: What do you want to be?
Carrie: You know, I’m not sure. I’m continuing my modeling career and I’m not sure how far that’s going to lead me. Maybe get into politics, you never know.
Cavuto: You know, half of ‘em want to get into TV news.
Carrie: No, I don’t think I want to get into that. Definitely not. Maybe motivational speaking.
Cavuto: (Whistles) Whew. Breathe a sigh of relief there. OK, good. Because I don’t need the competition. I just want to avoid that.
Carrie: I know.

Carrie Prejean. Smarter than Perez Hilton. More attractive than Paris Hilton. And vice versa, too.

Cavuto goes crazy, screams at Democrat congressman during interview over excessive pay

Yesterday Fox Business Channel’s Neil Cavuto treated a Unites States Congressman with all the respect he deserved. None.

First the Fox host lost his composure. Then he lost his voice. Cavuto went crazy when pathetic Congressman Alan Grayson (D-FL) couldn’t or wouldn’t and certainly didn’t answer a simple, straightforward question about the congressman’s bill to restrict wages for Amerian workers.

“The Constitution never gave you the damn authority of telling anyone what they should make…,” Cavuto raged. “The Constitution never gave you the authority to blithely come in here and arrogantly set pay for people you don’t even know. And, you don’t have the guts to come back at me and tell me what you think adequate pay range is.”

As the Orlando Sentinel reported on the bill, “The U.S. House is expected to vote today on a measure aimed at halting the payout of “unreasonable and excessive” bonuses to employees of financial companies that received federal bailout money.”

“The bill — a brainchild of U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Orlando — would let the Treasury Department and financial regulators set standards to avoid a repeat of the outrage over AIG, the insurance giant that paid $165 million in bonuses to executives after it got more than $180 billion in bailout funds.”

Other questions Grayson probably can’t or won’t answer:

Have you stopped beating your wife? What is the distance from the sun to the moon? What is pi? And finally, aren’t you ashamed of yourself?
