Chick fight: Megyn Kelly bitch slaps Gloria Allred

Megyn Kelly of Fox News didn’t take any crap from the overexposed attorney Gloria Allred during a discussion about the Tim Tebow’s pro-life commercial set to air during the Super Bowl.

HotAir.com reports the details:

Allred claims that the Focus on the Family ad, which features Florida University football star Tim Tebow and his mother, Pam, is “misleading” even though she hasn’t seen it.

The ad reportedly will tell the story of how Pam Tebow decided not to abort Tim even though doctors told her the pregnancy could endanger her life. Allred is threatening to file complaints with the FCC and FTC if the ad airs but does not mention her allegation that aborting the pregnancy at the time in the Philippines would have been a crime.

Kelly poked holes in Allred’s take on the ad throughout the video. She asked whether Allred believes a woman’s right to choose extends to choosing life, why she would object to someone airing an ad with a religious message, and why abortion advocates don’t air a competing ad if they are so bothered by the Tebows’ message.

“As you know, that’s the bedrock of the First Amendment,” Kelly said. “The answer to speech you don’t like is not less speech; it’s more speech.”
But the highlight of the segment comes at about the 4:30 mark. Allred ridiculously in effect argued that if Focus on the Family insists on airing an advocacy ad during a sports event, it should be compelled to air the equivalent of a mini-documentary explaining Philippines law.

Kelly’s response: “No ad can tell the entire story about the law as it stands in the Philippines. … It’s just a practical impossibility, Gloria, which would lead many to say that this is a PR stunt by you.”

A word of warning: Never stand between publicity whore Gloria Allred and a TV camera. She will knock down you, Ruth Bader Ginsberg and her own mother to be seen on television.

I love how Allred mentions just at the last part of her spiel about all the deaths due to illegal abortions. If that is a concern to her, why then is there no concern for the millions of deaths caused yearly BY abortions?! The aborted child loses his/her life…but that detail is just regarded as an inconvenience resolved.

I am no one to judge a woman who would rather protect her life and abort and try later to have another pregnancy or adopt a child (if being pregnant presents a health problem for her). I don’t know what that decision is like and I can only pray that I will never know. I say each to her or his own conscience on that issue.

I don’t subscribe of aborting a child just because he or she has down syndrome or a congenital issue. Many kids can overcome whatever they are born with so I say give them a chance to live and if they don’t make it at least they were a blessing for whatever short time they lived.

However, the women/girls (and perhaps the men and families in their lives) who wantonly want a child to not be born because he or she is an inconvenience or as Obama said a “punishment” (and the child is more than viable and no health issues for the mother), that I do find abhorrent.

I feel like Allred was all over the place. She just wanted to put her face on camera. She and women like believe that the only “intelligent” choice is to have an abortion if there is one iota of “issue” or “punishment” that the child may bring into her life. It is almost as she is scared that this ad will prompt more women to realize that the life they carry inside of them is more important than themselves or their circumstances. It is almost as if she doesn’t understand Motherhood either with her quip about automatic motherhood or mandatory/compulsory Motherhood. WTF is that about? So if a woman doesn’t feel like being a mother that is enough reason to abort? Yikes… Women like these freak the hell of me. How would they have felt to know if their own mother didn’t “feel” like being a Mother to them, but had them anyway and overcame that?

Gloria Allred bases her claim on the fact that abortion was illegal in the Philippines. She doesn’t stop to realize that, as a U.S. citizen, Pam Tebow could simply return to the U.S. to have one.

Any country that has laws against abortion ALWAYS has this exception: A therapeutic abortion is legal WHEN THE MOTHER’S LIFE IS IN DANGER.

Duuuuh, Gloria!

I happened to drive by the planned parenthood office in the city of ORange today and someone was outside with horrible pictures of aborted babies. I’m so glad that this ad will put a much more positive spin on the issue. yes, let’s get the discussion going.

This is why I love Megyn Kelly. Yes, she is a very cute & sexy girl with a brain & a sense of humor. But she will also drop the gloves & slug it out in a debate. I watched her hold O’Reilly to a draw a few times, & also watched her just crush others, like Allred here. Don’t ever let her looks fool you, she’s nobody’s fool, & she knows how to win an arguement. After all, she’s a lawyer, that was her job, to win.

My 22 year-old son called me up today just to tell me how much he now loves this woman, now that he’s seen the video. Hot and tough he says.

Yeah I would go ahead and say that most conservative women or conservative leaning women are tough, but also fair. Obviously a TV Network will not hire less than stellar looking women UNLESS they have a lot of talent and brains to offset it, like Greta, who is not a beauty, but she is not a fool either and she also tells it like it is although I am not 100% if she is conservative leaning well leaning could be a fair thing to say about her I guess.

It is life, that beauty can and does get you through the door. It would be stupid to say otherwise, that is why we women spend so much time taking care of ourselves. However, women like Contessa the Whore and other liberal women who are pretty, but completely stupid, it doesn’t necessarily gets them respect nor respectable ratings in the end.

And yes I do admire that she was and always is able to remain as composed as she can when she is being stared down even by someone that for some I imagine find intimidating like Bill O’Reilly. O’Reilly doesn’t intimidate me. He is much much older than me and he is probably better read and has more experience in life, but if you know your crap and you know it well and can back it up with facts people like that do not intimidate me at all. So I think that is her situation as well. She is not so easily intimidated.

One thing that makes O’Reilly intimidating is that he is a big guy, like 6′4″. Plus, when omeone that big, that smart, that confident of his own opinion, & knowing how to use his well earned reputation as an animal when agitated, they know are intimidating. I like the man, he can drive me up the wall at times, but I’ve watched him since he started at FoxNews, he just gets better.

Why did MK give GA a forum to spew in the first place? Good tv brings in ratings. The attention that both MK and GA got from this is a win-win for both.

Megyn Kelly like most Fox News anchors want fair and balanced discussions. I agree it gives the opposition attention but at least it is fair and balanced unlike some.

Allred is a horrible person and it shows in that video clip.
Her whole thing is outrage that a woman chose not to abort and looking for some excuse to denigrate Pam Tebows choice, as though she was coerced.
planned parenthood targets minorities and the poor for abortion. It’s all part of the progressive plan to engineer the elimination of the “undesirable class”.
These people are simply horrible through and through. Read some of the history of the progressive movement – it is so ugly and arrogant. All about death if you happened to not be one of the gifted class.

Actually, I have a cousin who does radio work in Los Angeles & has dealt with Allred more then a few times, he says she has never been a pain in the a$$ to deal with. Now I agree with her on very little politically, from what my cousin says, she’s not a horrible person.

The part about Planned Parrenthood & it’s aims & goals, that was dead on. Margret Sanger is the founder of PP, look into her backround & it will tell you everything you need to know about PP. Many that support PP don’t even know the truth about this group, & I think many would cringe if they knew.

I will never understand why some people get so irate if they hear another confess they are pro-life. It is as if the thought of one not being able to take the life of an unborn baby causes a rage and anger to spew out of their demonized soul.

I guess because they know that they would do it if the baby is not planned and presents issues they don’t want to deal with or if the baby has health problems. To hear someone else make a determination to just deal with the cards life has dealt, especially if it was their decision to have sex in the first place, I suppose makes them feel as they are being judged. Liberals/Progressives hate being judged even if they are not necessarily being judged. Yet they tend to be the most mis-judgmental people.

l think perhaps many of these women have aborted and do not want to be told that their decision was wrong, even if indirectly told by someone who is not even talking to them.
