Dick Armey mentioned that MoveOn.org had once run commercials comparing George Bush to Adolf Hilter. Rachel Maddow was shocked, insisting they didn’t do it. Here’s the commercial.
Like shooting fish in the proverbial barrel.
MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow and Former Congressman Dick Armey appeared on Sunday’s Meet The Press. Armey mentioned that MoveOn.org had once run commercials comparing George Bush to Adolf Hilter. Rachel Maddow (or it it Ron Reagan Jr.? We can never tell those two apart) was shocked.
“They didn’t do it,” Maddow insisted. “MoveOn.org never ran an ad that compared Bush and Hitler.”
Armey just smiled knowingly and revealed he had watched the despicable ad that morning.
This commercial, perhaps.

The Democrats have filibuster-proof majorities in the house and the senate and yet ObamaCare died a deserved death yesterday because it was so abhorred by the American people.
The Democrats have filibuster-proof majorities in the house and the senate and yet ObamaCare died a deserved death yesterday because it was so abhorred by the American people.
Senator Kent Conrad, one of one of the lead Democrat negotiators trying to hammer out a bipartisan compromise on the Senate Finance Committee, called further work on a government-run healthcare plan a “wasted effort.” He said the so-called public option doesn’t have enough votes to pass.
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius suggested the White House is ready to accept a health care reform package without it.
Even President Obama raised the white flag when he casually mentioned that the single payer option was never something he insisted must be in the final bill.
Sure, the Democrats will attempt to get something passed to placate their far left base, even if it bears no resemblance to the socialized medicine program they wanted. But no one will be fooled.
You just can’t reinflate the Hindenberg.
“The truth is most Americans don’t want much,” Michelle Obama insisted during the campaign. That someone, of course, does not include Michelle nor her brood.
Michelle Obama likes pie. Especially your pie. Doesn’t matter how hard you worked to get your pie, she wants it. In fact, she thinks it would be a really good idea if everyone had a piece of your pie.
Here’s what the First Lady said on the campaign trail on April 8, 2008.
“The truth is most Americans don’t want much. Folks don’t want the whole pie. Most Americans feel blessed to thrive a little bit. But that’s out of reach for them. The truth is, in order to get things like universal healthcare and a revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more.”
That someone, of course, does not include Michelle nor her brood. No, they’ll be grabbing pieces of everyone’s pies during their upcoming vacation at a plush Martha’s Vineyard estate. No one’s quite sure what this little getaway will cost the taxpayers, but similar properties in the area go for as much as $50,000 per week.
We don’t begrudge the Obamas their chance to live the lifestyle of the rich and famous.
We just wish they’d keep their hands off our pie.

Welcome to tonight’s main event. In one corner, we have the lunatics from PETA, who believe nothing is more important than saving animals. In the other corner, we have the wackos from NOW who believe every woman is beautiful.

There’s nothing more entertaining – absolutely nothing – than when leftist special interest groups square off against each other.

Yeah, we know it’s an old video clip, but we figure it never hurts to remind our fellow Americans exactly who represents them around the world.
What foreign nation could possibly resist this lovely charmer’s powers of persuasion. Why it’s no wonder all the world loves us now. Since January 20, that is.
In just the last week she bit the head off one Congolese student, then told a group of Nigerians not to worry about the corruption in their country, because it was just as bad in the United States.
Yeah, we know it’s an old video clip, but we figure it never hurts to remind our fellow Americans exactly who represents them around the world.
For anyone who gave the details of Bill Clinton’s North Korean “rescue” the slightest thought, the veracity of it is called into question by obvious PR spin surrounding it.

You’ve undoubtedly read all about (a) the horrible ordeal suffered by American reporters Laura Ling and Euna Lee at the hands of the North Koreans and (b) how they were “rescued” by Bill Clinton, the daring former president.
For anyone who gave the details of this story the slightest thought, the veracity of (a) is called into question by obvious PR spin surrounding (b).
Here’s a perspective you’ve probably never seen, as reported by the UK Daily Mail:
But who are these two fresh-faced women? What were they doing in North Korea, undoubtedly one of the most dangerous and repressed places in the world, and how on earth did they get themselves into what a friend jauntily described on one website as ‘a bit of a disastrous pickle’?
… they were hopelessly ill-prepared for their ‘mission’ to the Chinese-Korean border, that they were working for a minor television organisation run by a former ambulance-chasing lawyer…
…
Laura, 32, describes herself as a ‘Chinese American’, but a friend said: ‘She was brought up as a true Valley girl [an upper middle-class girl]. She’s about as Chinese as the cuisine at Chin Chin [a popular Californian-Chinese restaurant chain].’
Laura is said to be the duo’s ‘driving force’. Euna, 36, who had little journalism experience and counted making a yoga video as a career highlight, was her devoted lackey, who reportedly held the video camera as Laura ‘danced around’ on the North Korean side of the border.
For Euna, who was born in South Korea but moved to California when she was a university student, it was her first overseas assignment. The trip was Laura’s second ‘dangerous’ foreign job for Current, a Left-wing cable television network based in San Francisco that rather grandly aspires to ‘democratise’ the news.
…
The two women were sent to China in March to do a report about North Korean refugees pouring over the border. A source familiar with Current said: ‘It was the sort of bleeding-hearts liberal story that would play well to their target market. But then Laura decided to take it a step further.’
…..
‘Laura is sweet but not very street-smart,’ said (a long-time Democratic Party insider). ‘She was sent to China to make a routine programme about refugees crossing the border from North Korea but, according to Kim Jong Il’s people, she was walking across the border and leaping about.
‘The official North Korean report said Euna was holding the camera. Of course, there was speculation they were working for the CIA. Forget that. This has been a farce. It couldn’t be more embarrassing for Obama and the agency. No one hired these girls. No one in Washington had ever heard about them until they were captured by the North Koreans.
‘From everything I have heard about Laura, she is a Valley girl who wanted to play in the big league. I think she did this as a stunt to compete with her sister. Lisa Ling works with people like Oprah. Laura earns peanuts at a network no one has heard of. This was her big chance.’
On March 17, Laura and Euna were arrested by North Korean soldiers after they ignored orders to stop filming. Then they vanished into the maw of the most isolated nation on Earth.
……
In fact, their ‘ordeal’ appears to have been far from tough. According to Professor Han Park, an American academic who was visiting North Korea at the time, they were housed in a guest villa designed for foreign visitors outside the capital of Pyongyang.
Professor Park said that Korean officials laughed at any suggestion that the women were receiving harsh treatment. ‘We are not Guantanamo,’ he was told.
….
Indeed, (Ling’s) worst complaint was that her rice tasted like ‘rocks’.
The Clinton confidant said: ‘The women were a prize. Most people in North Korea would be lucky to be treated the way those girls were.’
Call us cold-hearted, but after reading the Daily Mail piece in full, we have a lot less sympathy for Ling and Lee.
They caused their own problem by crossing the border illegally and “leaping about” for the camera. They were held for 140 days in the relative luxury of a guest villa normally reserved for foreign visitors. And they received treatment that would have made them the envy of the average North Korean.
Fact is, contestants on Survivor endure greater hardships than those faced by the American reporters. But like the winners of Survivor, Ling and Lee are already lining up book and TV deals that will pay them millions.
Only in America. And North Korea.

Kissida is hoping a liberal judge will suspend any sentence based on the fact that he may have killed a man, but he helped save the earth.

Charles Waldrop was peacefully riding his bicycle home from work a few minutes after midnight last Saturday when he was struck and killed by a car driven by Phoenix-area resident Timothy Kissida.
That’s the tragic part of the story, but not the interesting part. Kissida was apprehended later and booked on one count of leaving the scene of a fatal accident and another count of tampering with evidence.
Police knew the suspect vehicle was a “silver BMW” because parts of the car were found at the scene of the crime.
Hours after the accident, Kissida drove to a Phoenix-area auto dealership and traded in his 1992 BMW as part of the “Cash for Clunkers” program.
Kissida told the dealer that his car had been damaged when he hit a javelina. (Don’t feel bad. We didn’t know what the hell a javelina was, either. Turns out it’s a wild boar found in semi-desert areas of Mexico and southwestern United States).

After receiving an anonymous tip, police swooped in, search warrants in hand, arresting Kissida and seizing his clunker from the dealer.
“I think it shows that people go to drastic means to try to avoid apprehension,” said Phoenix Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson.
Kissida is hoping a liberal judge will suspend any sentence based on the fact that he may have killed a man, but he helped save the earth.

Reporter Damon Weaver sat down with President Obama at the White House on Thursday. Nothing odd about that. Except for one thing: Damon is an 11-year old sixth grader from Florida.
According to the Palm Beach Sun-Sentinel, “Damon has been angling for an interview with Obama since before the election. He was in Washington, D.C., for the presidential inauguration in January, and then again in June to accept a Shortie Award, in an international competition honoring student film and news productions. While there, he toured part of the West Wing of the White House and received a congratulatory letter from Biden.”
Now that Obama is wearing thin on the major TV networks, he has moved his charm offensive down the demographic ladder in an attempt to appeal to voters who won’t be able cast their ballots until he runs for his third term in 2016.
The man has never met a camera he didn’t love.

The UK Daily Mail’s story of the “rescue” of the two American reporters was a terrific piece of reporting that swept away all the PR spin. It’s packed with fascinating little nuggets. For example:
For Bill Clinton, it was an easy mission. In a phone call to her husband a month ago, Laura (Ling) said that if Clinton turned up, she and Euna (Lee) would be granted amnesty.

Damon Lloyd Goffe, a Bronx poet, is suing Oprah Winfrey for $1.2 trillion, claming she ripped off his poems and published them under a different title.

Oprah Winfrey is getting her ass sued off, which you may agree is a good thing if you’ve seen the talk show queen lately.
Damon Lloyd Goffe, a Bronx poet, is suing Winfrey for $1.2 trillion, claming she ripped off his poems and published them under a different title.
The National Enquirer reports:
In the legal papers, Goffe says that “in April 2008 Oprah confessed to seizing original works of authorship” and published on the internet the first draft of his work ” A Tome of Poetry” under another title “Pieces of My Soul.”
The claimant says the website in question is no longer live.
The suit also alleges Oprah sold over 650 million editions of the work online for $20 a copy which “calculates for 1.2 trillion dollars!”
We’re thinking of suing Oprah, too, for convincing millions of idiot women to vote for Barack Obama.
That should be worth a $1.2 gazillion. Give or take a bazillion.

Wacko Democrat Congresswoman Shiela Jackson-Lee was grilled by CNN anchor Rick Sanchez grilled her about taking a phone call while a constituent was asking her a question at a recent town hall meeting.
A woman comes home from work early and finds her husband in bed with a beautiful blonde. She screams, she cries, she gets hysterical.
Her husband calmly gets up out of bed, puts on his clothes and walks downstairs to the kitchen, where he pours himself a glass of milk, sits down at the kitchen table and drinks it.
“I want a divorce,” the wife screams. “I can’t believe you had sex with another woman in my bed.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” the husband says. “I’ve never had sex with another woman.”
“I saw it with my own eyes,” the wife screams.
“Who you gonna believe,” the husband asks, me or your lying eyes?”
That was the defense wacko Democrat Congresswoman Shiela Jackson-Lee took when CNN anchor Rick Sanchez grilled her about taking a phone call while a constituent was asking her a question at a recent town hall meeting.

KATY Tur’s star keeps rising at NBC Universal, causing some media watchers to ask whether her fatherly boyfriend, MSNBC blabbermouth Keith Olbermann, 50, could be boosting the news cutie’s ascension.

We take back all the nasty things we’ve said about Keith Olbermann. It now appears that he is a warm, considerate man who goes out of his way to help young people pursue their broadcasting dreams.
Especially if they curl up in bed with his doughy white body.
Here’s how the New York Post tells the sordid tale:
“KATY Tur’s star keeps rising at NBC Universal, causing some media watchers to ask whether her fatherly boyfriend, MSNBC blabbermouth Keith Olbermann, 50, could be boosting the news cutie’s ascension. Tur, 25, who was hired earlier this year by the NBC-owned Weather Channel to chase storms, has started freelancing as a WNBC/Ch. 4 reporter. An MSNBC rep insisted, ‘Keith has not spoken to anyone about a job at WNBC since 1980. He is delighted that Katy is also working for the Weather Channel.’ Just imagine the reaction if Bill O’Reilly, the object of his pathetic obsession, had a chickie-poo half his age getting promoted on a Fox affiliate. It would be fodder for a weeks worth of Speshul Kommentz.”
While you were reading that quote, we had time to reconsider our position on this issue.
Anyone who actually has sex with Keith Olbermann in order to get ahead has definitely earned whatever success they achieve. And more. Much, much more.

Hillary Clinton has compared the Florida recount in our 2000 presidential election to the massive election fraud that runs rampant in Nigerian politics.
It’s been quite an African trip for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. First she erupted in anger when asked what her husband’s opinion on some issue (we don’t really remember what it was and don’t really care because it was so damn much fun to watch).
Now she’s upped the ante by comparing the Florida recount in our 2000 presidential election to the massive election fraud that runs rampant in Nigerian politics.
“In 2000, our presidential election came down to one state where the brother of the man running for President was the governor of the state,” she said. “So we have our problems too.”
Let’ just set that absurd comment aside and get to the important issues:
What’s with Hillary frantically rubbing her chest as she answers the question? Our guess is that a body language expert would say it was one of those nervous mannerisms that come out when someone is getting ready to lie.
Finally, we just want to hear the CNN babe pronounce the president of Nigeria’s name again.
It was kind of hot.

Bruce Luther of Rock & Roll Auto Recycling in Pleasanton, California apparently expressed the opinion of many wrecking yard owners when he said the “The CARS act, as written…is horseshit beyond repair.”

Question: Who would give Cash-for-Clunkers such a harsh assessment? Answer: One of the guys directly impacted by the program.
Bruce Luther of Rock & Roll Auto Recycling in Pleasanton, California apparently expressed the opinion of many wrecking yard owners when he said the “The CARS act, as written…is horseshit beyond repair.”
Why?
Because the Cash-for-Clunkers law requires the car dealer to destroy a clunker’s engine and transmission, which typically accounts for around 60% of a vehicle’s salvage value. Then, after they receive a clunker, salvage yards are given just 180 days to make whatever profit they can from scavenged parts. After that? The law says the vehicles must be destroyed.
Current scrap value is a mere $140 a ton, so the average clunker is worth about $280. But it costs about $200 to “detox” a clunker as federal law requires. That leaves the salvage yard with a net profit of just $80 per car.
Hmmmm. Seems like the thing that should be scrapped is this whole Cash-for-Clunkers fiasco.

A $200 back-to-school giveaway for needy kids sparked a mad rush for money on the streets of New York on Tuesday. Who’d a thunk it?

A $200 back-to-school giveaway for needy kids sparked a mad rush for money on the streets of New York on Tuesday.
“It’s free money!” said Alecia Rumph, 26, who waited in a Morris Park, Bronx, line 300 people deep for the cash to buy uniforms and book bags for her two kids.
“Thank God for Obama. He’s looking out for us.”
Get it right, Alecia. Thank the taxpayers who involuntarily ponied up the “free” money.

Paul Krugman, the New York Times Nobel Prize-winning columnist and left wing lunatic, is wrong again. As usual.
During a healthcare debate at Rockefeller Center on September 16, Krugman decided to demonstrate the superiority of the Canadian healthcare system. He asked all the Canadians in the audience to raise their hands. Seven hands went up in the air.
That’s where Krugman should have stopped. Instead, he asked how many of our northern neighbors think they have a terrible healthcare system.

Politicians around the world are attempting to jump on the Barack Obama bandwagon just as its wheels are starting to come off here in the United States.

In a case of remarkably bad timing, politicians around the world are attempting to jump on the Barack Obama bandwagon just as its wheels are starting to come off here in the United States.
For example, in Russia, an immigrant from Guinea-Bissau named Joaquim Crima is running for office in his small town on the Volga River. Using a twist on a common Russian phrase, Crima’s advertising campaign says, “I will toil like a Negro.”

Investors Business Daily editorializes about the lucky Cubans and their universal healthcare system. Everyone is treated equally, which is apparently a Spanish word that means “poorly.”
… CNN is presenting Cuba’s socialized health care system as “a model for health care reform in the United States,” according to a report on the cable network last week. The report credits low cost and universal coverage.
“How does Cuba do it?” gushed the CNN anchor. “First of all, the government dictates salaries. Doctors earn less than $30 per month — very little compared to doctors elsewhere. And priority is given to avoiding expensive procedures, says Gail Reed (a contributor to the Cuban communist party propaganda organ Granma), who’s lived and worked in Cuba for decades.”
