I know we’re a day late with this, but please accept our belated Happy Birthday wish President Obama, along with this touching tribute to your life by your fan, Glenn Beck. We hope we’re invited for cupcakes (and a beer?) next year.
You, loyal citizen, can help the Obama administration put a stop to the lies and distortions on his healthcare plan, and return peace and order to the nation.
And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed—if all records told the same tale—then the lie passed into history and became truth. - George Orwell, 1984
The rightwing nuts are at it again–not content with domestic terrorism via Tea Party protests against the energy bill, a bill that could literally save the planet, but now they are spreading lies and distortions about President Obama’s healthcare program. We must be vigilant–their slander against our dear leader is increasing and their new mob tactics of confronting congressional leaders in their home districts with uncomfortable questions, is creating an unsafe environment for these public servants.
This escalating disruption cannot continue, as it could possibly derail Obamacare. You, loyal citizen, can help the administration put a stop to this, and return peace and order to the nation.
It would be wise to listen to Linda Douglass, the communications director for the White House’s Health Reform Office, as she addressed the nation on what is quickly becoming a dangerous national security issue.
“There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to [email protected].”
Ms. Douglass, we’d like to be one of the first to help you. We have heard of one trickster, a con artist, that we’d like to tell you about. Last year, he was seen traveling the country hypnotizing large crowds of people, and telling them many untruths, including ones about healthcare. There are so many, but we believe the biggest deception was his saying that the president promised “…you’ll be able to get the same kind of coverage that members of Congress give themselves.” Note that he may be in collusion with the media, since even though this lie is so outrageous, there has been no coverage of it.
We hope you can find him; he’s a master of disguise. He can pass himself off as either black or white. He may have passports for both the U.S. and Kenya. He’s been seen on extravagant dates in New York with one of the world’s most beautiful women. His wife can switch her wardrobe from J Crew to Gucci from one occasion to the next. Take heed though, that he is very dangerous when armed with a teleprompter.
If we can be of further assistance, please let us know.
Democrat Senator Arlen Specter and Obama’s Health & Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius found out how unpopular Obamacare is when they attempted to pitch their snakeoil to the people.
Apparently, it’s illegal to post the results of polls in Washington, DC, because Democrats seem blithefully unaware how unpopular ObamaCare is back home.
Republican Democrat Senator Arlen Specter and Obama’s Health & Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius found out when they attempted to pitch their snakeoil to the people.
The highlight is when Specter attempts to explain why this healthcare fiasco has to be rushed through congress.
As we used to say back on the farm, “He really stepped in it this time.”

“Don’t wait for your pie in the sky, by and by,” he often told his followers. “Say I want my pie right now – and I want it with ice cream on top!” Then he would exhort them to send love offerings directly to his church.
“It’s bwilliant,” Barney Frank said. “All we need to do is convince people that their lives will be enriched in the future if they just send all their money to Washington, DC today.”
“Genius,” agreed John Kerry. “Love offerings sounds much more benign than taxes.”
“I love it,” said the President. “Then we’ll add a sur-offering to stick it to them even harder.”
“But what about the separation of church and state,” Nancy Pelosi asked.
“Please, Nancy,” Harry Reid demanded. “Show some respect for the dead.”
President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton don’t get along.
The President and the Secretary of State are going in opposite directions
According to the LA Times(see update at bottom of article), President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton don’t get along. Didn’t see that comin’.
The two (one of the two being The One) disagree about democracy in Iran, Obama’s plan to thaw relations with Cuba, the Sudan, Syria, and probably about Hillary’s daily choice of pantsuits.
Obama recently responded to a heated argument with Clinton by curtailing her authority. He refused to let her hire Sidney Blumenthal as an advisor. He disinvited her to last month’s G-8 conference. And he sent Vice President Joe Biden on an important mission to Eastern Europe.
According to the Times, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel says that Clinton is on ‘thin ice.’
“In tonight’s play, Hillary Clinton plays the role of Bobby Kennedy and Barack Obama plays the role of Lyndon Johnson.”
Can’t wait for the next act.

Update: Someone from the LA Times just alerted us that the source for this article was not the LA Times, and in fact is a satirical article written by a blogger. Fooled us! Well, one thing for sure though, satire only really works when there is an element of truth behind the story, and Hillary and Barack do not exactly seeing eye-to-eye.
1. Obama admits his goal of eliminating private insurance companies. 2. Linda Douglass, Communications Director for the White Houses Health Reform Office accused Drudge of using deceptive editing. 3. Drudge runs this uncut, uncensored version of a 2003 video featuring Barack Obama talking about single payer health insurance.
In Round One, Drudge ran a 2007 video in which Obama admits his goal of eliminating private insurance companies.
In Round Two, Linda Douglass, Communications Director for the White Houses Health Reform Office, threw a counterpunch with this video and accused Drudge of using deceptive editing to alter the context of Obama’s 2007 comments.
In Round 3, Drudge landed a haymaker to Obama’s lying jaw by running this uncut, uncensored version of a 2003 video featuring Barack Obama talking about single payer health insurance. Oops. Nothing out of context here.
The ring girls are now circling the ring holding up big cards that say “Round 4.” Drudge is dancing in his corner, refusing to sit down between rounds. Obama is slumped on a stool in his corner with Rahm Emanuel is applying ice to his swollen jaw.
Obama’s corner should end this thing and throw in the towel.
The Huffington Post played the race card on its home page today. The huge headline “GOP Returns to ‘White Voter Strategy'” is placed over what the left seems to think is the typical white racist person
With President Obama plummeting in the polls, and the public’s dismal view of the ineffective stimulus package, cap-and-trade, Obamacare, Cash-for-Clunkers and the mad race toward socialism, there is only one option left for the far left:
Play the race card. And play it now.
That’s exactly what the Huffington Post did on its home page today. The huge headline “GOP Returns to ‘White Voter Strategy'” is placed over what the left seems to think is the typical white person: he’s a bearded, southern-looking man wearing a cowboy hat and a Redskins jersey. And he’s angry. So angry, in fact, that he’s pointing his finger. And Angry White Man is not alone. An entire crowd of other angry white people can be seen behind him.
Unfortunately, they are blurred so you can’t see their guns, bibles and beers. And lynchin’ ropes. You can’t see their lynchin’ ropes, either.
But we’re pretty sure the folks at the Huffington Post can see them.
A simple rookie error is causing the government’s cash for clunkers web site to not come up for many, if not most, people.
“Honey, don’t get excited about that new Lexus just yet, the Cars.gov website is still down”
We’ve been trying to get on the cars.gov “cash for clunkers” web site for the last few days. But, it just wouldn’t come up for us. Given all the failures of the federal government, both in concept and execution, we figured that they simply over-promised the free money and under-delivered on their web server horsepower.
If you’re thinking to yourself, wait, I’ve been on the the site and it works just fine, well, you are also correct. But that’s only because you keyed in www.cars.gov, not cars.gov. It works the www prefix just fine; but on most browsers, without the www, it doesn’t. Click the links above and try it for yourself. That’s just not how a website is supposed to work. Try our site to see what should happen: if you key in ihatethemedia.com, it moves you over to www.ihatethemedia.com. No server error, right to the home page.
It’s an very simple problem to overcome, one that every rookie website owner runs into, unless it’s automatically taken care of by the web host. What is the fix? Ha! You think we’re going to tell the federal government how to give away more money? If they had their site done right, they might now be requesting $8 billion for this disastrous program, not $4 billion
The federal government: a bunch of rookies, in every way, every day.
Here’s a story you probably won’t read in the Huffington Post: One of its writers, Carol Burger, has been arrested for stabbing her wife with a screwdriver not once, not twice, but 222 times.
Carol Burger or as she's better known, the Huffington Post Killer
Here’s a story you probably won’t read in the Huffington Post: One of its writers has been arrested for stabbing her roommategirlfriend wife with a screwdriver not once, not twice, but 222 times.
Carol Burger covered the election for the HuffPo. Jessica Kalish, her roommategirlfriend wife, was a South Florida software executive and part-time talk show host.
Here’s how the Miami New Times reports the story:
To outsiders, it seemed they were the embodiment of contemporary domestic bliss: two smart, professional women living in an immaculate house replete with screened-in pool, a cabana bathroom, and plenty of room for their two adopted racing greyhounds. Soon, though, all of South Florida learned the unsettling truth.
The tragic tale continues:
Most of the screwdriver blows landed on Jessica’s neck and on the back of her head, perhaps directed at her new haircut. All told, there were 222 stab wounds. The lacerations were, on average, an inch to an inch-and-a-half deep, and most were shaped like the tiny plus sign on the tip of a Phillips-head screwdriver. The fatal strike was likely a blow to the spinal cord. The struggle — and subsequent overkill — probably lasted about 20 minutes.
To repeat, 222 stab wounds delivered over a 20-minute period.
And yet we wouldn’t be surprised if the defense attorneys portray it as self-defense. We wouldn’t be surprised if the left mounts “Free Burger” rallies. And we wouldn’t be surprised if Gloria Allred finds the TV cameras to announce that Burger is only being charged because she’s a woman.
There are two valuable lessons to be learned from this story:
One – Don’t piss off any writers at the Huffington Post.
Two – When phillips head screwdrivers are outlawed, only outlaws will have phillips head screwdrivers.
America’s so-called “newspaper of record” must have set a record with this correction to a recent article on Walter Cronkite
America’s so-called “newspaper of record” must have set a record with this correction to a recent article on Walter Cronkite:
“An appraisal on Saturday about Walter Cronkite’s career included a number of errors. In some copies, it misstated the date that the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was killed and referred incorrectly to Mr. Cronkite’s coverage of D-Day. Dr. King was killed on April 4, 1968, not April 30. Mr. Cronkite covered the D-Day landing from a warplane; he did not storm the beaches. In addition, Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon on July 20, 1969, not July 26. ‘The CBS Evening News’ overtook ‘The Huntley-Brinkley Report’ on NBC in the ratings during the 1967-68 television season, not after Chet Huntley retired in 1970. A communications satellite used to relay correspondents’ reports from around the world was Telstar, not Telestar. Howard K. Smith was not one of the CBS correspondents Mr. Cronkite would turn to for reports from the field after he became anchor of ‘The CBS Evening News’ in 1962; he left CBS before Mr. Cronkite was the anchor. Because of an editing error, the appraisal also misstated the name of the news agency for which Mr. Cronkite was Moscow bureau chief after World War II. At that time it was United Press, not United Press International.”
It’s no wonder Barack Obama thought the Cambridge police had profiled Professor Henry Louis Gates. He has had personal experience with the ugly brute force of their racism.
Oh, how we long for the moment when time expires on this administration
It’s no wonder Barack Obama thought the Cambridge police had profiled Professor Henry Louis Gates. He has had personal experience with the ugly brute force of their racism.
The fascist, racists in the Cambridge Police Department unfairly targeted the oppressed young black man who is now President of the United States with unwarranted parking ticket after unwarranted parking ticket while he was student at Harvard Law School between 1989-1991.
In a brave attempt to protest the police department’s blatantly racist policies, Obama left Cambridge without paying for 17 of those tickets.
OK, that’s how some leftwing blogs might report this story, but here’s the truth:
President Obama is a deadbeat. He skipped town without paying for 17 parking tickets. They sat unpaid for 20 years – until two weeks before he announced his bid for the presidency – when he finally ponied up the money he owed the city of Cambridge. The violations included parking in a bus stop and parking without a proper permit.
“In other words,” John LeBoutillier said at NewsMax.com, “as a practicing lawyer in Chicago, he allowed these tickets and penalties to remain unpaid; as an Illinois state senator he allowed these tickets and fines to remain unpaid; and as a United States senator he allowed these almost-two-decade-old signs of his disdain for the law to remain unpaid.”

If someone estimates funding of a plan is adequate for 90 days, and the money runs out in a week, how much of the American economy would you trust that person to run?
Hillary Clinton’s massive campaign debt has quietly been paid off. And now she’s stockpiling cash. In fact, the former presidential candidate has socked away $3,000,000 in her campaign fund.
When the U.S.S. Obama goes down, Hillary Clinton will already be ashore, basking in the sunshine and ready to run
Hillary Clinton’s massive campaign debt has quietly been paid off. And now she’s stockpiling cash. In fact, the former presidential candidate has socked away $3,000,000 in her campaign fund.
Wait a sec. Did we say campaign fund?
The Secretary of State, who supposedly left politics behind when President Obama made her the nation’s top diplomat, said, “I’m now out of politics” and that future political office “is not anything that is at all on my radar screen.”
However, in addition to stockpiling cash, Hillary still has eight people working on her “former” campaign.
It may just be that Hillary reads the polls and is beginning to think we may be in the middle of a one-term presidency
Where’s that damn button? Hillary wants to reset America’s relationship with Barack Obama.
Cash-for-Clunkers Comment of the Day: “Let’s imagine the same program for the housing problem. Destroy all the foreclosed properties and give the former owners a free down payment on a new home.”

Paul McCartney dedicated the song “Michelle” to Michelle Obama. He picked the wrong song. Here are some more appropriate choices, including Back in the USSR.
Sir Paul McCartney was performing at FedEx Field in Washington, DC last weekend. Since he was just down the road from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the former Beatle paid tribute to Michelle Obama by dedicating his classic song “Michelle” to the first lady.
The song’s lyrics say “I love you, I love you, I love you / That’s all I want to say.” But keep in mind that this is the same aged rocker who married an alleged peg-legged former prostitute (the peg-legged part is confirmed, but the former prostitute part is only alleged).
Nevertheless, we think Paul’s LSD usage in the 60s is starting to catch up with him. He obviously dedicated the wrong song to Michelle. There were just so many others that were far more appropriate.
Sit back and click and enjoy the Beatles songs that should have been dedicated to our First Socialist Lady.
Baby, You’re A Rich Man (You make over $75,000 per year so Michelle and her husband want their share. Plus a surtax.)
Chains (The Beatles called them “Chains of Love,” but we’d call them “Chains of Socialism”)
Devil In Her Heart (Can’t help but agree with the title)
Hello, Goodbye (We don’t agree about anything)
Helter Skelter (Yes, the world is going insane and your husband in running the asylum)
Hey, Bulldog (Michelle’s one of the most beautiful people in the world? C’mon. Seriously?)
I Me Mine (The Obama administration seems to think that there is no I, me or mine. It’s all theirs)
I’m Down (C’mon, Michelle, how can you laugh when you know I’m down?)
Misery (Alphabetically just one Beatles tune away from “Michelle.” This may have been the one McCartney meant to dedicate to the First Lady)
Money, That’s What I Want (Unfortunately, Michelle, your husband also wants our money)
Piggies (The men in white starched shirts want to take everything we have)
Revolution #9 (We don’t want your husband’s socialist revolution, Michelle)
Slow Down (Why does everything have to be done NOW?)
Taxman (You’re married to the Taxman-In-Chief, Michelle)
The Fool on the Hill (Or, perhaps, the Fool On Capitol Hill)
You Can’t Do That (Cap and trade? New taxes? Socialized medicine? You can’t do that.)
You Never Gave Me Your Money (But you want to take all of ours, don’t you?)
Al Gore is a liar. A sad, pathetic liar who’s made a fortune playing Chicken Little on global warming. Nine full weeks into official hurricane season and no hurricanes, not even a tropical storm.
Al Gore is a liar. A sad, pathetic liar who’s made a fortune playing Chicken Little.
Well, that pretty much sums it up. Nine full weeks into official hurricane season and the weather is determined to reveal the magnitude of Gore’s prevarications. 63 long, calm days deep into hurricane season and we’ve had not a single hurricane. Not a single tropical storm. Not even a single tropical depression.
In the record-setting year of 2005, we had already had eight storms by this date. In the remarkably quiet year of 2006, we’d had three. In the average year of 2007, we’d had three. And in the average year of 2008, we’d had five.
If Al Gore is feeling warmer, it’s only because his pet theory is going down in flames.
Barack Obama learned absolutely nothing from the failed economic policy Soviet Union, because Cash-for-Clunkers clearly demonstrates central planning at its worst.
Cash-for-Clunkers, or as Lenin called it, Наличные-за-старье
For the moment, let’s just ignore that the Obama brain trust developed a program that was designed to run for three months but ran out of money in four days, and what that might tell us about their ability to forecast anything about the economy or their ability to administer your healthcare.
Seriously. Let’s just put that aside for the moment, because there are lots of other reasons to cringe at Cash-for-Clunkers.
Far as we can tell, Barack Obama learned absolutely nothing from the failed economic policy Soviet Union, because Cash-for-Clunkers clearly demonstrates central planning at its worst.
What the Obama administration saw as a devilishly-clever way to add another $1 billion (now increased to $3 billion) to the automakers bailout will also have the unintended consequence of distorting markets for years to come.
By selling cars at artificially-depressed prices, it subsidizes weak dealers who will be able to keep their doors open and compete against stronger dealers.
By artificially increasing demand now, it will artificially reduce demand in the future.
By artificially reducing the supply of used cars, It will artificially increase the demand for and price of the remaining used cars.
By mandating the destruction of used cars, Cash-for-Clunkers will unintentionally distort the market for spare parts and auto repairs.
By providing what is, in effect, a $4500 tax cut for those who can afford to purchase a new car during a recession, it punishes those who may need help the most.
Ironic, isn’t it, that the same man who appoints so many czars should make the same mistakes as the Russian communists who replaced the czars.
The democrats want to subpoena all the VIP mortgage records from Countrywide Financial. You know, the guys who gave sweetheart deals to Democrat Senators Chris Dodd and Kent Conrad.
Democrat Senators Kent Conrad and Chris Dodd, the twin poster boys for the Culture of Corruption
Republicans have called the Democrats’ bluff on the culture of corruption. They want to subpoena all the VIP mortgage records from Countrywide Financial. You know, the guys who gave sweetheart deals to Democrat Senators Chris Dodd and Kent Conrad.
The Republicans say they’re willing to take a chance that GOP lawmakers will also be ensnared in the Countrywide mortgage scandal.
Unfortunately, House Democrats are being somewhat less than cooperative. They’ve refused to subpoena records that might reveal if any other members of Congress also got discounted loans and special treatment.
According to congressional rules, only the chairman of a committee can issue a subpoena. New York Democrat Edolphus Towns, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said he’s just too darn busy stimulating the economy to find out which members of Congress are corrupt.
California Republican Darrell Issa, the senior Republican on Towns’ committee, has repeatedly tried to get Towns to subpoena Countrywide’s records. Towns has turned down each request.
A Bank of America spokesman said it will gladly submit all the documents as soon as it receives a subpoena. “They have it packed and ready to go,” Issa noted.
Do you think it has anything to do with the fact that every politician who’s been ensnared in the Countrywide scandal so far has been a Democrat? And do you think, perhaps, both parties already know exactly who will be named in those records?
Janeane Garofalo demonstrated her delightfulness in a recent interview with the Guardian UK. Please be warned, however, that she uses some delightfully obscene language.
Who could blame us for falling in love with the future Mrs. IHateTheMedia.com
What’s not to love about Janeane Garofalo? She’s delightful. She’s covered with delightful tattoos. And she has a delightful disposition. She is, in a word, delightful.
She demonstrated her delightfulness in a recent interview with the Guardian UK. Please be warned, however, that she uses some delightfully obscene language.
Her delightful thoughts about getting her head blown off in “Team America: World Police”:
“I didn’t like that at all,” says the actor and comedian. “I didn’t see it, but I know about it. The only upside to it was I was given far more credit for being famous that I’ve ever been given in my life.” … “What am I getting my head blown off for? For speaking out against an immoral, illegal and unjustified invasion and occupation? What they did was cowardly. To try and get yourself off the hook by saying we’re equal-opportunity offenders, it doesn’t mean shit to me.”
Her delightful thoughts on tea parties:
“Fucking redneck douchebaggery. Unmitigated douchebaggery. Why are they holding signs that say, ‘Whatchoo talking about, Willis?’ These people are called ‘racially sensitive’, what they should be called is racist, backward motherfuckers.”
Her delightful thoughts on Fox News:
“They only book people who are easy to mock and marginalise. I kind of thought, ‘Someone’s got to do it.’ But talking to those assholes is a drag. It’s a drag meeting the same assholes from high school when you’re 40.”
Her delightful thoughts on “24″:
“Initially when I was asked to do the show I had reservations about it because of the politics. And I thought further and realised, I don’t have a job. So I put my reservations on the back burner. And I did enjoy working there, it was one of the most enjoyable jobs I’ve had.” There was nothing that made you go, ‘Whoa there’? “Besides all the torture? Sure, that made me go, ‘Whoa there.’ Luckily they allowed my character to voice her distaste for the violation of the constitution, but then they’d have Jack yell at her.” Garofalo isn’t bitter about it, but doesn’t think she’ll go back. “Objectively speaking, I don’t think my character served any purpose. I don’t think they needed Janis Gold.”
Who wouldn’t fall in love with this delightful girl.
Janeane, would you please do us the honor of marrying us?
Dan Rather is out to save the rapidly-depleting stock of journalists, reporters, editors and empty-headed news anchors by asking for a media czar.
"Hello? Mr. President. It's Czar Rather. I have a typo on page 3. Go to DefCon 4."
The sky may be falling and the earth may be boiling polar bear cubs at a rapid rate, but Dan Rather, a leading, but by no means only reason journalism is no longer respected, is out to save the rapidly-depleting stock of journalists, reporters, editors and empty-headed news anchors.
Rather, who spoke at the Aspen Institute, called for the Obama administration to create a “commission on public media.” The commission would, among other things, try to find new business models to help save media outlets because, if it’s one thing that the hundreds of years of the free enterprise system has shown us, it’s that people are incapable of creating a business model without the interference from a government commission.
Remember the Commission On 144-Character Micro-Blogging Messages that brought us Twitter?
“A truly free and independent press is the red beating heart of democracy and freedom,” Rather said in an interview. (A free and independent press that is overseen by a government commission?)
The commission might also be able to help forge documents, too, like military letters about presidents whose politics you don’t necessarily agree with.
If the commission is created, we would need another Czar, a Czar of All Media.
Let’s see. Where could we find a liberal, out-of-work journalist who left his career in disgrace and may need another shot at proving his worth before he’s rolled up like newspapers used to be and tossed away in the dustbin of media history?

Bob Thirsk, a Canadian astronaut orbiting in the International Space Station, has concluded that earth bears the scars of human destruction. He reached this conclusion by using something a bit less scientific than the scientific method -– his feelings.
Here’s how Reuters tells Thirsk’s tale:
Bob Thirsk, who is two months into a planned six-month stay aboard the station, said he is mostly in awe when he looks out the window, particularly at the sliver of atmosphere wrapped around the planet.
”It’s a very thin veil of atmosphere around the Earth that keeps us alive,” Thirsk said during an in-flight news conference. “Most of the time when I look out the window I’m in awe. But there are some effects of the human destruction of the Earth as well.”
”This is probably just a perception, but I just have the feeling that the glaciers are melting, the snow capping the mountains is less than it was 12 years ago when I saw it last time,” Thrisk said.
This is probably just a perception on our part, too:
Thirsk’s credibility is disappearing faster than the glaciers.
The Associated Press reports that the Cuban Revolution Day is not off to such a great start in Havana.

The Associated Press reports that the Cuban Revolution Day is not off to such a great start in Havana.
Oh, sure, there’s still the sea of olive drab uniforms, the Che Guevara souvenir t-shirt shops, the parade of antique cars (because that’s all the people can afford), and the display of homemade boats created to leave the country.
But the economy’s been hit hard this year, according to the AP.
It’s the global credit meltdown, U.S. relations, and a failure of economic “reforms” that are causing this ho (chi minh) hum celebration. Interestingly, they don’t report that the failure of the Cuban revolution might…might…have something to do with the fact that for the last 50 years, the country has been run — and ruined — by a group of authoritarian, communist thugs who imprison people for daring to speak their minds and wreck the economy with state-run, communist principles that only work in select Oliver Stone movies.
The article does mention, however, that Cubans have – nudge, nudge, wink, wink – free health care. Something Americans could have, too, if they were just willing to live on $20 a month.
Freud said that sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, but in Cuba, a cigar is a symbol of a stupid, repressive, communist system that enslaves a proud, smart people.
Deloris Nissen, a retired nurses’ aide, is selling her two TVs in an attempt to avoid Barack Obama. Nissen said she is disgusted with the president’s constant presence on TV.
One need not sell one
Deloris Nissen, a retired nurses’ aide, is selling her two TVs in an attempt to avoid Barack Obama. She offered the televisions in a $5.50 classified ad that ran in Iowa’s Daily Times Herald.
Nissen said she is disgusted with the president’s constant presence on TV.
“It’s Obama on every channel and station. I just got tired of watching him on every channel,” she complained. “I thought, my gosh, does he ever stay at the White House?”
Nissen said she quickly turns the channel when Obama pops up on any program she happens to be watching.
“I have the remote real handy,” Nissen admitted. “I have the batteries. I’m ready for him.”
We wish you well, Deloris, but it won’t be that easy. Time Magazine just announced on Thursday that Obama will be on its cover for the 12th time in the last year.
