Nancy Pelosi was right. We had to pass the bill in order to find out what was in it. And now that we’ve found out, we don’t like it.
Rasmussen reports on the turn of the American voter:
For the first time since Democrats in Congress passed the health care bill in March, a majority of U.S. voters believe the measure is likely to be repealed.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 52% of Likely U.S. Voters think it is at least somewhat likely that the health care plan will be repealed. Thirty-three percent (33%) view repeal as unlikely. Those figures include 16% who believe repeal is Very Likely and 5% who believe it is Not at All Likely.
The number who view repeal as Likely is up from 47% last month and from 38% in early April. Belief that the plan is likely to be repealed has been hovering in the 40% range in surveys since April but began to rise in late October.
It’s all good. Well, at least until you remember that this all depends on the gutless Republicans actually doing what they said they were going to do.
Remember when the Gusher in the Gulf started spewing oil? How they said it was going to be the worst environmental disaster in history? Never mind.
Remember when the Gusher in the Gulf started spewing oil? How they said it was going to be the worst environmental disaster in history? When they it was going to destroy all wildlife in the Gulf? When they said that the waters of the Gulf would become one giant dead zone?
Never mind.
The Weekly Standard has an update the lunatic left would rather you skipped:
The oil spill did far more long-term damage to Obama's approval rating than it did to the Gulf
The ecosystem of the Gulf itself turns out to have suffered remarkably little damage from the continuous gushing of oil into the water from April 20 till July 15, when the leaking well was capped. One group of scientists rated the health of the Gulf’s ecology at 71 on a scale of 100 before the spill and 65 in October. By mid-August, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) was having trouble finding spilled oil …
NOAA explained one reason for this in a report in August: “It is well known that bacteria that break down the dispersed and weathered surface oil are abundant in the Gulf of Mexico in large part because of the warm water, the favorable nutrient and oxygen levels, and the fact that oil regularly enters the Gulf of Mexico through natural seeps.” In other words, the organisms that normally live off the Gulf’s large natural seepage of oil into the water multiplied extremely rapidly and went on a feeding frenzy. Another 25 percent of the spilled oil—the lightest and most toxic part—simply evaporated at the surface or dissolved quickly.
Damage to wildlife, too, was relatively sparse.
Environmentalists responded by saying, “Yeah, but…yeah, but…yeah, but….”

Our families will gather together today to enjoy a special California Christmas which includes chowing down on Mrs Administrator’s delicious lobster tacos and Mrs Editor’s holy guacamole.
Lobster tacos, an IHateTheMedia.com Christmas tradition
We’ll also observe the day with our own unique IHateTheMedia.com Christmas traditions:
The Editor will once again leer at the Administrator’s 20-year old daughter’s friends while fantasizing that they see him as something other than a dirty old man. The Administrator will play his annual game of grab ass with the Editor’s wife. And both wives will observe it all while shaking their heads and wondering, “What the hell is wrong with those two?”
After dinner the Administrator will say, “C’mon, we’re smart guys. Let’s come up with an idea that will make us a million dollars” and the Editor will respond with the seasonal, “Shut up. I’m trying to watch football.”
Ahhh, tradition. It truly is the glue that holds society together.
We wish you and your family and friends a wonderful Christmas.
Attorney General Eric Holder ain’t the brightest attorney general we’ve ever had, but he’s always been loyal. And that makes his comments on terrorism even more surprising.

Attorney General Eric Holder points the finger of blame at Barack Obama
ABC News has the Attorney General’s blunt admission:
“It is one of the things that keeps me up at night,” Holder said. “You didn’t worry about this even two years ago — about individuals, about Americans, to the extent that we now do. And — that is of — of great concern.”
“The threat has changed from simply worrying about foreigners coming here, to worrying about people in the United States, American citizens — raised here, born here, and who for whatever reason, have decided that they are going to become radicalized and take up arms against the nation in which they were born,” he said.
Now hold on just a darn minute, Mr. Attorney General. We thought the administration’s official position was that George Bush’s flawed policies had caused terrorism. Yet now you’re saying that radicalized American terrorists have become a problem in the last two years?
Let’s see, now who’s been President for the last two years.
Hey, that’s Barack Obama, isn’t it?
Spread the word: Eric Holder thinks his boss is the new Bushitler.
THONGS and board shorts gave way to beanies and scarves yesterday as summer gave way to a wintry blast of snow and icy temperatures in Australia’s southeast.
You read about those record cold temperatures hitting Europe and the northern United States and you say, “Well, sure, but winter’s just a few days away so it’s not that strange.”
This looks like one of those "What's wrong with this picture?" pictures from back in grade school
Hmmm. Then how do you explain snow in Australia a few days away from summer?
News.com.au has the frigid factoids:
THONGS and board shorts gave way to beanies and scarves yesterday as summer gave way to a wintry blast of snow and icy temperatures in the country’s southeast.
While the bitter freeze in Europe continues, Victoria and NSW have had a cold snap of their own, with off-season ski slopes transformed into winter wonderlands.
About 30cm of snow fell at Perisher in NSW yesterday, while Victoria’s Mount Hotham received a 10cm dusting on Sunday.
Charlotte’s Pass in the NSW Snowy Mountains also received a 10cm sprinkling of snow, prompting would-be bushwalkers to don clothing more suitable for skiing.
It was surprising to see the Kosciuszko Chalet Hotel blanketed with snow at this time of year, resort manager Michelle Lovius told The Australian yesterday.
“I’m sitting inside in my scarf and beanie,” she said.
“When you walk in it, it’s up past your ankles and it’s just started snowing heavily again.”
Will the environmentalists admit that they were wrong? That’ll be a cold day in hell. And in Australia.
In other words, Barney Frank says, “Gays aren’t girlie. Oh, by the way, I left my purse at home” and Chris Matthews thinks, “Oooh, I wonder if it was the mauve one with the sequins.”
Please allow us to summarize this odd clip in one sentence:
A guy who told a national TV audience that he gets a tingle up his leg every time he hears Barack Obama speak interviews the guy who’s boyfriend ran a gay prostitution ring out of his basement.
In other words, Barney Frank says, “Gays aren’t girlie. Oh, by the way, I left my purse at home” and Chris Matthews thinks, “Oooh, I wonder if it was the mauve one with the sequins.”
In other other words, Barney Frank proves that gays aren’t girlie by being far more masculine than the guy who’s interviewing him.

A detailed clarification of the “butt drag”
Don't Ask, Dont Tell: This is what the Butt-Drag looks like in action
A front-page story Sunday about a Buchanan High School wrestler accused of sexual battery said the “butt drag” maneuver involves a wrestler putting fingers in his rival’s anus to get leverage. There’s no formal definition of the move, but coaches say it involves grabbing the butt cheek of a rival. Coaches vary on how often anal penetration occurs, but they say that it should never be intentional. The move does not involve skin-on-skin contact; the wrestler practicing the move is pushing his fingers against his opponent’s uniform.
In addition, stories about the case on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday incorrectly said the wrestler had been expelled. He has been suspended pending an expulsion hearing.
“The wrestler practicing the move is pushing his fingers against his opponent’s uniform.”
Homeland Security is keeping us safe 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 364 days a year. With that in mind, here are some photos of TSA agents on Day 365.
Uh-oh. Joe Biden has some unexpected competition for dumbest member of the Obama administration. Mediaite.com has the dumb details:
On ABC’s World News tonight, Diane Sawyer sat down with Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to talk about the possibility of a terror attack over the holidays.
And Napolitano, doing her best to keep us all feeling cozy and warm, said it’s almost a year-round operation:
“What I say to the American people is that… thousands of people are working 24/7, 364 days a year to keep the American people safe.”
Got that? Homeland Security is keeping us safe 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 364 days a year. With that in mind, here are some photos of TSA agents on Day 365.
The First Lady announced her plan to put salad bars in 6,000 American schools. Now comes word that al Qaeda is plotting to poison salad bars.
Is Michelle Obama working with the terrorists to kill American children?
Last month the First Lady announced her multi-billion dollar plan grand plan to put salad bars in 6,000 American schools.
Now comes word from CBS that salad bars may be the next target of terrorists. The former Tiffany network said it has confirmed “credible” threats that terrorists want to target salad bars and buffets by spiking the greens with deadly poisons such as ricin and cyanide.
CBS News reports:
In online propaganda al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula has praised the cargo attack, part of what it called “Operation Hemorrhage.”
The propaganda says in part, “…attacking the enemy with smaller but more frequent operations“ to ”add a heavy economic burden to an already faltering economy.”
Manuals and videos on jihadist websites explain how to easy it is to make both poisons.
“Initially it would look very much like food poisoning,” said St. John’s University professor of pharmaceutical sciences Dr. Susan Ford.
She showed how little of each poison could be fatal by putting a small amount of poison in cups.
That incompetent Bush administration only emphasized the three R’s: readin’, ‘ritin, ‘rithmetic. Leave it to the Obama administration to add a fourth one: ricin.
There’s only one possible explanation for the fact that Eliot Spitzer continues to invite Dana Loesch on his CNN program: He enjoys being slapped around.
There’s only one possible explanation for the fact that Eliot Spitzer continues to invite Dana Loesch on his CNN program: He enjoys being slapped around.
As Breitbart.tv summarized:
Eliot Spitzer attempts to frame an argument on deficits and tax cuts with Big Journalism’s Dana Loesch with faulty logic and premises. Despite the fact that his argument is built on the unstable foundation of falsehoods and errors, Loesch still knocks Spitzer around the studio a few times.
Our favorite moment is when Dana says the words “beaver management” and the famous former john doesn’t blink an eye. C’mon, Dana, that was intentional, wasn’t it?
It was a rare “I love the media” moment. Every once in a while they get one right, like this week when CNN mercy-killed the Larry King Show after twenty-five years.
The end came fifteen years after it should have, but better late than never.
Sprinkled in with the cheap shots at conservatives that viewers have come to expect from a CNN special were some fine moments. Regis and Donald Trump unintentionally brought attention to the elephant in the room (see 10:23 of the video) Regis said, “Why is he leaving?” and Trump responded, “Yes, what the hell is going on here?” The unspoken truth is, of course, that Larry wasn’t leaving – he was unceremoniously booted out the door due to years of dismal ratings.
Also notable, King said (18:05 of the video), “We’ll be back with America’s best news anchors” before being joined by Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer, Barbara Walters and Brian Williams. Not a one of them from CNN, the self-labeled “Worldwide Leader in News” and “Most Trusted Name in News.” Some people believe it was a subtle dig from Larry at the network that fired him, but let’s face it, Larry ain’t that sharp.
Unfortunately, they didn’t have room on the show for everyone. Guests we would like to have seen who were not invited include Sean Hannity, who did as much to make CNN’s nine o’clock hour as irrelevant as King himself, and the baseball instructor Larry hired for his kids, Hector “I had sex with Larry’s wife, in his bed, while watching him on TV” Penate.
To see Larry’s emotional, teary goodbye, watch the final 30 seconds.
Will the media make fun of him like they do Republican leader John Boehner? Yeah, right.
