Calderon visit marred by poor translation. Please allow us to correct it.

A grammatically incoherent English translation marred Mexican President Felipe Calderon’s arrival ceremony at the White House Wednesday. But we here at IHateTheMedia.com are highly-trained linguists. We were quickly able to see that the official translation was slightly inaccurate and we consider it our public duty to provide you with this revised translation of Calderon’s remarks.

felipe calderon white house
Felipe Calderon greets President Obama by saying, "Pinche puto," which was translated as "Greetings, my good friend"

The Associated Press reports that there was a language barrier or two at the White House when Mexican el Presidente Felipe Calderon spoke on Tuesday:

A halting and grammatically incoherent English translation marred Mexican President Felipe Calderon’s arrival ceremony at the White House Wednesday, rendering his remarks difficult to understand at times. The Mexican delegation blamed its own translator.

Here’s how those comments appeared in the official White House transcript:

“I know that we share the interest in promoting dignified, legal and orderly living conditions to all migrant workers. Many of them, despite their significant contribution to the economy and to the society of the United States, still live in the shadows and, occasionally, as in Arizona, they even face discrimination.”

But we here at IHateTheMedia.com are highly-trained linguists. We were quickly able to see that the official translation was slightly inaccurate and we consider it our public duty to provide you with this revised translation of Calderon’s remarks:

“You are friggin’ fools, America. While we steal billions of pesos from our people, we will continue to send our starving, unemployed peasants across the border so that they can become your problem instead of ours. And if you so much as open your mouths, we will cry racism. By the way, pendejos, we will eventually take back every square inch of land you stole from us. Long live Aztlán.”

As you can see, language barriers are easily overcome. And in that way, they are a lot like barriers along the border.

When will PETA and the ACLU condemn illegal aliens?

We’re eagerly awaiting a press release from PETA supporting Arizona’s anti-illegal alien law and condemning cockfighting and another press release from the ACLU supporting the law and condemning the weapons.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio recently rounded up a bunch of illegal aliens and charged them with cockfighting and possession of illegal weapons.

So now we’re eagerly awaiting a press release from PETA supporting Arizona’s anti-illegal alien law and condemning cockfighting and another press release from the ACLU supporting the law and condemning the weapons.

Has anyone in the Obama administration read this Arizona law they hate so much?

Janet Napolitano joined Attorney General Eric Holder as leading figures in the Obama administration who are willing to condemn Arizona’s new anti-illegal alien bill without ever having bothered to read it.

Janet Napolitano joined Attorney General Eric Holder as leading figures in the Obama administration who are willing to condemn Arizona’s new anti-illegal alien bill without ever having bothered to read it.

She admits to John McCain that she hasn’t read the law, but that doesn’t stop her from passing judgment on it.

“That’s not the kind of law I would have signed,” she told Congress. “I believe it’s a bad law enforcement law. I believe it mandates and requires local enforcement and puts them in a position many do not want to be placed in. When I was dealing with laws of that ilk, most of the law enforcement organizations in Arizona at that time were opposed to such legislation.”

In other words, “We don’t read the damn laws, we just pass judgment on them.”

Update: State Department Spokesman P.J. Crowley said on Fox News this morning that he has not read Arizona’s new law (skip to minute 6:40):

By the way, why was an Australian the host of the Miss America pageant?

Michael Savage’s most remarkably stupid caller ever

We’d normally expect The Savage One to bit this caller’s head off. But even he is so stunned by her stupidity that his reaction seems unusually muted. The best part is her ability to move so seamlessly from stupid comments on one topic to equally stupid comments on a completely unrelated topic.

Regrettably, she actually mirrors the “thinking” of the far left on illegal immigration, racism and taxation.

Los Angeles’ moron mayor says illegal aliens add to California’s “economic might”

No one’s ever accused Los Angeles’ midget mayor of being a genius. For that matter, no one’s ever accused him of having average intelligence. But now Antonio Villaraigosa, a member of La Raza, but not Mensa, has cemented his intellectual legacy.

But now Antonio Villaraigosa, a member of La Raza, but not Mensa, has cemented his intellectual legacy with this comment:

“In California, I think there’s a real sense that these immigrants provide a great deal to the economic might of the state, while at the same time give us an opportunity to take the lead on this issue of really pushing the federal government to fix a broken immigration system.”

Keep in mind that this is the same mayor who hired an additional 3,000 municipal workers just as the city was plunging into economic chaos. And the same mayor who negotiated a union contract that mandates raises for all remaing union employees if even one union employee is laid off.

Los Angeles. It’s the third world city with a fourth rate mayor.

Eric Holder’s against Arizona’s anti-illegal alien law, but hasn’t actually taken the time to, you know, read it

It appears that the Attorney General is just plain so overloaded with work that he can’t get around to reading the laws he criticizes. You know, the laws he threatens to take to court to overturn.

If Attorney General Eric Holder is interested, IHateTheMedia.com will spring for the cost of a quick course in speed reading at Evelyn Woods Reading Dynamics.

It appears that the Attorney General is just plain so overloaded with work that he can’t get around to reading the laws he criticizes. You know, the laws he threatens to take to court to overturn.

Fox News has the details:

Despite repeatedly voicing concerns about Arizona’s new immigration enforcement law in recent weeks and threatening to challenge it, Attorney General Eric Holder said Thursday he has not yet read the law — which is only 10 pages long.

“I have not had a chance to — I’ve glanced at it,” Holder said at a House Judiciary Committee hearing when asked had he read the state law cracking down on illegal immigrants.

Holder told reporters last month that he fears the new law is subject to abuse and that the Justice Department and the Homeland Security Department are in the midst of conducting a review.

As we recall from our high school speed reading course, it’s not just speed that’s important, it’s comprehension. And Holder seems to have problem with both.

If you’d like to take the Evelyn Woods refresher course, Eric, send us an email. We’ll pay.

New SEIU president says those aren’t illegal aliens. They’re “new immigrants.”

In the hotly contested “Stupidest PoliticallyCorrect Phrase Imaginable”, new SEIU President Mary Kay Henry (who, judging from the video is no relation to the cosmetic queen Mary Kay) has added her little band aid to the bruised egos of the illegal alien population by rebranding them “New Immigrants”. Nothing illegal about that.

So which is the more ridiculous euphemism – “New Immigrant” used to describe illegal aliens or “Anti-choice” used to describe pro-life believers?

Or do you have your own favorite libtalk phrase?

Machete: Hispanic filmmaker encourages bloody massacre in Arizona

You may have thought Hollywood had already plumbed the depths of depravity, but Tinseltown has now reached a new low. Director Robert Rodriguez has released a trailer for his latest disgust-a-thon disguised as a movie

WARNING: VIOLENT, ADULT and SATIRIC CONTENT
** We’ve swapped out the old fake trailer with this new “real” one **

You may have thought Hollywood had already plumbed the depths of depravity, but Tinseltown has now reached a new low.

Director Robert Rodriguez has released a trailer for his latest disgust-a-thon disguised as a movie:

Director Robert Rodriguez’ new film ‘Machete’ has created controversy after a promotional trailer released online makes provoking comments about Arizona– referring to its new immigration laws– before depicted a machete-wielding vigilante who leads an uprising and massacre against Texas authorities. The filmmakers called it a ‘special’ Cinco de Mayo message to Arizona, inviting viewers into a violent on-screen race war with red-saturated 70s exploitation violence and endless killing.

Dust off the awards shelf, Robert, because Hollywood will undoubtedly reward you with an Oscar for this one.

UPDATE: We orignally displayed old 2007 “fake” trailer that Grindhouse made for another of its upcoming films. But now, Robert Rodriguez has made a new film based upon this old trailer, and this is the new trailer he’s just released for it. And we’ve swapped the new real one in for the old fake one. From Ain’t It Cool News, Rodriguez “is calling this his “Illegal” trailer. You see, Robert talked Fox into letting him put together a Cinco De Mayo message for ARIZONA – given. Well, the way things are in Arizona at this moment – it is kinda insane that there is a movie that was shot over a year ago waiting to be released that is about – THIS EXACT ISSUE… but if, Danny Trejo and buddies went Revolution Wacko as a result. “

Now that wily ol’ maverick John McCain wants a border fence. And this time he means it. Really.

“Complete the dang fence,” McCain says. “Where were you on this issue when you weren’t running for reelection, you pathetic old son of a bitch,” we say.

“Complete the dang fence,” McCain says.

“Where were you on this issue when you weren’t running for reelection, you pathetic old son of a bitch,” we say.

You say you want la Revolución?

La Raza: “We are revolutionary Mexican organization here. We understand that this is not just about Mexico. It’s about a global struggle against imperialism and capitalism… At the forefront of this revolutionary movement is La Raza. We will no longer fall for these lies called borders. We see America as a northern front of a revolutionary movement… Our enemy is capitalism and imperialism.”

In the media’s eyes, the people who want to control the border and create a legitimate and legal way for people to become American citizens are the real problem.

They’re racists. They’re ignorant. And probably, worst of all, conservatives.

The people who favor illegal immigration are forward-thinking and progressive.

And by progressive, we mean they’re teaching children to fight “imperialism and capitalism” as this UCLA professor (update: Sanchee High School history teacher Ron Gochez) tells a group at a UCLA rally.

“We are revolutionary Mexican organization here.

Hey, it’s lunchtime. Anyone want tacos?

New Gallup poll says 9 out of 10 Americans are Nazis

Arizona border unprotected
Typical well-protected border between Arizona and Mexico

A brand spankin’ new USA Today/Gallup poll reveals that 9 out of 10 Americans pretty much agree with those right wing, tea baggin’, racist, Nazi, Republicans from Arizona.

They’d like the federal government to get off its duff and secure the damn border.

CNSnews.com has more of the results:

Similarly, 61 percent of Americans say they are very concerned that illegal immigrants are putting an unfair burden on U.S. schools, hospitals, and government services.

Gallup asked respondents whether it was extremely important, very important, moderately important, or not that important to them that the U.S. government take steps this year to control the border to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into the country. Only 10 percent said it was not that important. Eighty-nine percent said it was moderately to extremely important, with 42 percent saying it was extremely important, 26 percent saying it was very important, and 21 percent saying it was moderately important.

Let’s do a little math. There are 300,000,000 Americans. And it’s been estimated that there may be as many as 25,000,000 illegal aliens. So if nine out of ten people want the border secured, the odds are pretty high that the tenth guy was an illegal alien.

No?

Rational debate featured at Arizona illegal alien rally

And by “rational debate”, we mean irrational insults, needless name calling and, of course, unseemly signage. And hard as this may be to believe – SARCASM ALERT – it came from the left.

Arizona nazi sign

And by “rational debate”, we mean irrational insults, needless name calling and, of course, unseemly signage. And hard as this may be to believe – SARCASM ALERT – it came from the left.

Fortunately, as Rasmussen reveals, it worked about as well as the you might have expected:

Following weekend protests against the new Arizona law cracking down on illegal immigration, support for the Arizona policy remains unchanged.

However, a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 25% have a favorable view of those who marched and protested for immigrant rights in major cities. Fifty percent (50%) hold an unfavorable opinion and another 26% are not sure.

Fifty-nine percent (59%) of voters still favor legislation like Arizona’s that authorizes local police to stop and verify the immigration status of anyone they suspect of being an illegal immigrant. Thirty-two percent (32%) oppose such a law. Those figures are virtually unchanged from a week ago.

Rasmussen is obviously a Nazi, too.

On one hand, we think the guy who wrote the sign meant to say, “You owe us, America.” On the other hand, the missing comma – intentional or not – probably makes the sign a more accurate reflection of the crowd’s true feelings.

We are all Diamondbacks now

We are all Arizona Diamondbacks now

Oh, how the libs are howling about Arizona’s new illegal alien law.

They want to boycott the state. They want to boycott the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team because its owners support the law. They want Major League Baseball to pull its All-Star Game from Phoenix this summer.

That’s why we say we are all Diamondbacks now.

Visit the official Diamondbacks store. Buy a Diamondback cap or jersey or mug.

Show your support for the state. Show your support for the team. Show your support for the law. Show your support for America.

There ought to be a law against stupidity at CNN

During a discussion of Arizona’s controversial new law, a screen crawl on CNN actually said, “Arizona law makes it illegal to be an illegal alien.” Duh.

The image above is completely unretouched and completely unbelievable.

Duh.

Now the Huffington Post wants to boycott the Arizona Diamondbacks

The article says, “This will be the last column I write about the Arizona Diamondbacks in the foreseeable future. For me, they do not exist. They will continue to not exist in my mind as long as the horribly named ‘Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act’ remains law in Arizona. This law has brought echoes of apartheid to the state.”

The folks at the Huffington Post have taken too many pitches to the head

In the near future sportscasters may run down a players stats like this:

“Ed Shlumpy at bat. He’s hitting .311 this year, bats right, throws right and leans right with a pro-life advocacy rating of 93.0%”

It may sounds strange to you, but not to Huffington Post readers who are used to left wing nonsense like the article entitled “No one is Illegal: Boycott the Arizona Diamondbacks”

It goes on to state that “This is not merely because they happen to be the team from Arizona. The D-backs organization is a primary funder of the state Republican Party, which has been driving the measure through the legislature.”

The article ends by saying “If the owners of the Diamondbacks want to underwrite an ugly edge of bigotry, we should raise our collective sporting fists against them. A boycott is also an expression of solidarity with Diamondback players such as Juan Guitterez, Gerardo Parra, and Rodrigo Lopez. They shouldn’t be put in a position where they’re cheered on the playing field and then asked for their papers when the uniform comes off.”

The same could supposedly be said of Phoenix police officers, 25% of whom are of Hispanic descent. Except that no one cheers them, on duty or off, especially when they – unlike the federal government – actually attempt to enforce the law.

To paraphrase Ernest Thayer, “Mighty Arianna has struck out.”

Get the smelling salts! Even Jack Cafferty supports the new Arizona illegal alien bill

We got a little weak in the knees when we heard CNN’s Jack Cafferty not only supports the Arizona SB1070 illegal alien law, but condemns the federal government for not enforcing current immigration laws.

We got a little weak in the knees when we heard CNN’s Jack Cafferty not only supports the Arizona SB1070 illegal alien law, but condemns the federal government for not enforcing current immigration laws.

Cafferty: So Arizona passes a tough law against illegal immigration and suddenly they’ve got Washington’s attention. One poll finds 70 percent of Arizona voters support this new law, so hey, maybe we better do something, too. And like the lemmings they are when they smell a chance to score some political points, and some of them need a lot of help with the midterms coming up, there is now talk of rushing immigration reform through Congress. President Obama called the Arizona law misguided. What’s misguided, Mr. President, is the federal government’s ongoing refusal to enforce the laws that are already on the books. Read the Arizona law. Parts of it are word-for-word the same as the federal statutes which continue to be all but ignored. Now we’re hear all sorts of blathering from our Washington gerbils about the need for a new federal law. There’ll be news conferences and interviews and committee hearings and draft legislation and polling, all the usual carnival acts that accompany any hot button Washington issue. Instead of simply closing the borders and enforcing the existing law so they could turn their attention to something like the national debt and the fact that the country is bankrupt, instead we’re going to get this freak show. Washington’s position on illegal immigration is patently dishonest from the top down. No enforcement, no border security. Just pandering to the Hispanic voters and the corporations that hire the illegals. And then, when one of our states that’s being ravaged by the presence of 460,000 illegal aliens inside its borders does something about it, the President says that’s misguided. What a shame. Here’s the question: Will the federal government ever enforce our immigration laws?

Thanks, Jack. That pretty much wraps it up in a neat little package with a pretty little bow on top.

Small riot breaks out among protestors. Democrats say, “Never mind.”

The Democrats have been warning us for months that those damn Tea Parties were time bombs ready to explode into violence. Well, the fuse burned down and the violence finally happened. Just not as predicted.

The Democrats have been warning us for months that those damn Tea Parties were time bombs ready to explode into violence. Well, the fuse burned down and the violence finally happened. Just not as predicted.

According to Fox News:

“The fight over (Arizona) Senate Bill 1070 took to the streets of downtown Phoenix, as riot Police were called to the Capitol to control an unruly group of protesters.

Witnesses say a group protesting against SB1070 began to fight with a man who was for the controversial immigration bill.

Police tried escorting that man away from the scene, fearing for his safety, when they too came under attack by people throwing items, including water bottles.

A young man was arrested during that melee.

Apparently, this outbreak of violence — which confirms the worst fears of those on the left — is no big deal because it was perpetrated by…you guessed it…those on the left.

And that automatically moves it from the dangerous and seditious category to the expression of free speech category.

Harry Reid has given up and decided to commit suicide

In a state where ObamaCare and illegal aliens are about as popular as gonorrhea, the Senate majority leader has unwisely announced that “We’re gonna do immigration reform just like we did healthcare reform.” And he pledges to bring it up this year. As in prior to the election in which he already lags far behind every potential opponent.

Congressman Xavier Beccerra (D-LaLaLand) is one of those congressmen. California liberals, that is.

So naturally, he laughed out loud when someone from the Ari David for Congress campaign showed up at an SEIU immigration rally and suggested that the meeting begin with the Pledge of Allegiance. Start the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance? Oh, man, that’s a good one. A real gut-buster.

Beccerra and the CHIRLA/SEIU rally leader appear baffled by this outrageous suggestion. But once the Pledge begins, they’re embarrassed into standing for it.

Why didn’t we think of this: Denmark pays immigrants to go home

Denmark has increased by tenfold the amount of money offered to immigrants who return home permanently to 100,000 kroner ($20,000), officials said on Monday.

Don't like the famous Danish Mohammed cartoon? Go home, Farook.

Hey, if we can’t build a wall to keep ‘em out, let’s pay ‘em to go home. It must be acceptable, because the socialist paradise of Denmark is doing it.

Denmark has increased by tenfold the amount of money offered to immigrants who return home permanently to 100,000 kroner ($20,000), officials said on Monday …

The scheme is aimed at immigrants from outside the European Union and Nordic countries, DPP deputy leader Peter Skaarup told AFP.

“It in practice targets those nationals from non-Western countries who are struggling to adapt to Danish society…”

The agreement also calls for 20 million kroner in aid to city councils in charge of integrating immigrants, to help them “motivate” foreigners to return home.

According to the refugee, immigrant and integration ministry, some 2,524 people have voluntarily left Denmark since 1997, when the repatriation programme was introduced. Most of them were from the former Yugoslavia, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Somalia and Turkey.

Far be it from us to think that Denmark may be profiling its immigrants, but “most of them were from the former Yugoslavia, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Somalia and Turkey.”

In other words, “Hey, Abdul, don’t the the door whack you on the ass on the way out.”

It hardly seems “fair,” but hell, give us $20,000 and we’d ship our grandparents back to the Netherlands. Even if they didn’t want to go.

One video that’s too shocking for YouTube and seven that should be

YouTube has disabled one of our videos, saying it had violated their Community Guidelines. Take a look at others think are okay.

Last week we ran a video we called “Can you spot the person who needs to be deported?”. You an watch it above.

The clip is now hosted on DailyMotion.com after YouTube disabled it, saying it had violated their Community Guidelines. Here’s what the violation notification said:

Sometimes people do get hurt and it’s inevitable that these events may be documented on YouTube. However, YouTube is not a shock site. It’s not okay to post gross-out videos of accidents, dead bodies or similar things intended to be shocking, sensational or disrespectful. If a video is particularly graphic or disturbing, it should be balanced with additional educational or documentary context and information

Apparently our video was too “shocking, sensational or disrespectful” for the delicate souls at YouTube. Watch it for yourself and we think you’ll agree that it’s neither shocking nor sensational, so they must have deemed it to be disrespectful. Call us crazy, but we thought the guy in the video who…uh…fertilized the plant was the disrespectful one. But we may be behind the times on what’s right and what’s wrong these days.

We apologize to the YouTube, their owner Google, and the eagle-eyed member of the multicultural citizen patrol who alerted YouTube to our insensitivity.

So as a public service, and to instruct everyone in the type of videos that don’t violate YouTube’s “shocking, sensational or disrespectful” guidelines, we would like to present the following selection of YouTube-approved videos. We’d issue some content warnings, but they have YouTube’s official seal of approval.

So what the hell. Continue to view (possibly NSFW)…
