In case you don’t think the government takes enough of your money, they’ve come up with a simple way for you to give them more.
Annual Fee $65, Monthly Interest $237, Monthly Payment $797, Getting Rid of this Administration Priceless
How’d we miss this story back in June?
In case you don’t think the government takes enough of your money, they’ve come up with a simple way for you to give them more.
Got a few extra bucks for Uncle Sam? Now the U.S. Treasury has made it easier to donate—via credit card. In January, the department’s Bureau of the Public Debt began to accept payments via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.
May we suggest that you apply for a Platinum card. You’re going to need it, because last we heard your share of the national debt was $43,000.
Did we say Methodist? Our mistake. We meant to say Muslim. Wonder if Juan Williams ever flew on an airplane with this guy.
Did we say Methodist? Our mistake. We meant to say Muslim. Fox News has the story:
Farooque Ahmed's Washington, DC subway plot blew up in his face
Farooque Ahmed, 34, of Ashburn, Va., was arrested today by the FBI and charged with providing material support to terrorists and collecting information for a terrorist attack. “It’s chilling that a man from Ashburn is accused of casing rail stations with the goal of killing as many Metro riders as possible through simultaneous bomb attacks,” said Neil MacBride, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. “Today’s arrest highlights … our ability to find those seeking to harm U.S. citizens and neutralize them before they can act.”
According to an indictment filed in U.S. Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, between April 2010 and Oct. 25, Ahmed repeatedly met with individuals he thought were affiliated with Al Qaeda to discuss “jihad.”
Wonder if Juan Williams ever flew on an airplane with this guy.
Former President Jimmy Carter told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, “Ronald Reagan only had less than 51% of the vote, but he won because of a third-party candidate.”
Jimmy Carter and Hardball. Just reading those words is enough to let you know something odd is about to happen.
In this case, the former President told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, “Ronald Reagan only had less than 51% of the vote, but he won because of a third-party candidate.”
We’re not even quite sure what that means, but since Carter is in the middle of his 30th Annual Carter Presidency Rehabilitation Tour, you knew he’d say something stupid.
For a few years people were saying, “Jimmy Carter is the best former president we’ve ever had.” Now they’re just saying, “Who is that crazy old coot?”
Former California Governor Jerry Brown admits – right after he left office – that he didn’t have a plan, lied about having plan, made the whole thing up, said the words and couldn’t believe it when the sheeple of California bought it hook, lie and sinker.
Former California Governor Jerry Brown admits – right after he left office – that he didn’t have a plan, lied about having plan, made the whole thing up, said the words and couldn’t believe it when the sheeple of California bought it hook, lie and sinker.
What are the chances this misanthrope has a more realistic plan this time around?
Joe Biden: “Every single great idea that has marked the 21st century, the 20th century and the 19th century has required government vision and government incentive.”
Speaking at fundraiser for in Manhattan on Tuesday, Joe Biden played a little fast and loose with history. But knowing Biden, he was just making crap up as he went along.
The two railroads met at Promontory Point, Utah. Joe Biden was unable to attend.
The New York Daily News has the details:
“Every single great idea that has marked the 21st century, the 20th century and the 19th century has required government vision and government incentive,” he said. “In the middle of the Civil War you had a guy named Lincoln paying people $16,000 for every 40 miles of track they laid across the continental United States. … No private enterprise would have done that for another 35 years.”
The fact that every word Biden said is either oversimplified, misleading or incorrect tends to weaken his argument about the importance of government intervention. But this is, after all, Joe Biden, so let’s not let the truth interfere with a good story.
Fact is, the transcontinental railroad wasn’t built because of government vision. The term “government vision” is an oxymoron. The concept of a transcontinental railroad had been proposed and pushed by private citizens and private companies for decades. It’s a little known fact of history that Abraham Lincoln represented several major railroads and those with interests in the railroads long before he ever ran for office. It’s been suggested that he was owned – lock, stock and barrel – by he railroads. He continued to represent their interests as long as he was in office.

Enthusiasm runs high for Democrats this year
WLS-AM has the yawn-inducing details:
Former President Bill Clinton’s ‘get out the vote’ rally for Democrats at a downtown Chicago hotel was the most unenthusiastic WLS veteran political reporter Bill Cameron has ever witnessed.
Clinton was an hour late for the Tuesday afternoon rally at the Palmer House and droned on for another hour, sending dozens of the few hundred Democrats in attendance for the exits.
“Well, all we’re really asking for is two more years, that’s a total of four, to get us out of the hole and get us into the future. That’s half as much time as you gave them to dig the hole. Seems fair to us,” Clinton said.
The state’s most popular Democrat Lisa Madigan was conspicuously absent as were state party chairman Mike Madigan and Mayor Richard Daley.
Madigan and Daley were just the beginning. By the end of the speech most of the audience was also conspicuously absent.
The Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (that’s what the Democrat Party calls itself in Minnesota) sent out this remarkably offensive “Ignore the Poor” anti-Catholic mailer.
Congratulations, Democrats. Now that we’ve seen this ad, nominations for Most Offensive Ad of the Year are closed and you have officially been declared the winners.

How loud would they squeal if someone – anyone – would have run an ad this offensive about Muslims?

Why does Joy Behar have a career on television?
She’s completely classless, completely clueless and considering the fact that she bills herself as a comedian, completely laughless.
We have a friend who hates sitcoms because, he says, all character development ends far too soon in most of them and each character quickly devolves into increasing exaggerations of his or her most prominent trait.
Based on that description, can The View be described as anything but a sitcom?
Barack Obama, who billed himself as the first post-partisan President, but who has governed as if that description were some kind of joke, finally put his real feelings into words.

The enemies list makes a comeback
The Hill has the details:
Latino voters, the president said, would have an opportunity to send a message to Republicans, who Obama accused of “politicizing” immigration reform and the border security debate. Obama said “pressure has to be put on the Republican Party” if immigration reform is to become a reality.
“And if Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, we’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us, if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s gonna be harder — and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2,” he said.
Punish your enemies. If they bring a knife, he’ll bring a gun.
Maybe instead of comparing this president to Jimmy Carter, we should begin comparing him to Richard Nixon. Except Nixon’s enemy list seemed to be a lot shorter than Obama’s.
In the sleepy little town of Troy, New York there is a case of what is being referred to as “massive voter fraud.” The shock isn’t that it was perpetrated by Democrats, it’s that ACORN wasn’t involved.
In the sleepy little town of Troy, New York there is a case of what is being referred to as “massive voter fraud.” The shock isn’t that it was perpetrated by Democrats, it’s that ACORN wasn’t involved.
Perhaps this map will help Democrats who've lost their way in Troy, New York
FoxNation has the details:
A special prosecutor investigating allegations of voter fraud, Trey Smith, is collecting DNA from the majority of the city council all Democrats. Five city councilmen, including the council president, as well as four other city and county public officials and political operatives, have been ordered to or have had their saliva swabbed for DNA samples to compare to absentee ballots and absentee ballot applications that were allegedly forged.
Wait – it gets worse:
It has been alleged that Democrats tried to steal the primary election for city council and county legislature, by forging absentee ballots and ballot applications.
However, the Democrats tried to handle the crisis in true Democratic fashion. First of all, “No comment,” was apparently the first comment off the lips of Democratic Council member Gary Galuski and several other public officials who are under investigation.
Sarah Couch, who is not under investigation, said that when the story broke last year another councilman asked her to issue a press release that would “’point blame at the Republican Party,’ and she refused to do so.”
Finally, “One of the others who allegedly gathered absentee ballot applications, former Troy Housing worker and Democratic Committeeman Anthony DeFiglio” said “’what appears as a huge conspiracy to non-political persons, is really a normal political tactic that went out of control.’”
Just a normal political tactic. Really? That sounds familiar. Isn’t that what they said about the “Louisiana Purchase” and the “Nebraska Kickback”?
Hopefully when these clowns are convicted they’ll be placed in a nice normal jail cell.
“I never asked President Obama for his endorsement and what’s going on here is really Washington insider politics at its worst,” Caprio said. “He can take his endorsement and really shove it as far as I am concerned.”
Remember just two short years ago when the election of Barack Obama ushered in an era of love and peace and harmony? That’s officially over. Even among Democrats.
As far as we know, Frank Caprio has not told Miss Rhode Island to shove it
ABC News has details of the Rhode Island rebuff:
This morning on WPRO Radio Providence, Democratic Rhode Island gubernatorial candidate Frank Caprio, whom President Obama has not endorsed, lashed out.
“I never asked President Obama for his endorsement and what’s going on here is really Washington insider politics at its worst,” Caprio said. “He can take his endorsement and really shove it as far as I am concerned.”
Deferring to his friendship with former Sen. Lincoln Chafee, the former Republican senator currently an independent gubernatorial candidate who endorsed the president in 2008, the president has not endorsed Caprio.
Recent polls indicate that Caprio and Chafee are in a tight race. According to the Providence Journal, Caprio was unaware that the president would not be endorsing him until a reporter told his campaign the news over the weekend.
Let’s just say that Caprio is not happy with President Obama.
Caprio today charged that the president is “coming into Rhode Island treating us like an ATM machine. I will wear it as a badge of honor and a badge of courage that he doesn’t want to endorse me as a Democrat.“
Note that Caprio doesn’t object to Barack Obama treating the American people like an ATM for the last two years.
Here’s a commercial that will give you the kind of chills you may not have felt since viewing Ronald Reagan’s Morning In America commercial. Anyone who can watch this and not vote for Marco Friggin’ Rubio is obviously an anti-American, communist son of a bitch.

In one week, Marco will become the next Republican senator from Florida. He’s conservative. He’s telegenic. He’s a great speaker. He’s the son of immigrants. He’s Hispanic. He believes in American exceptionalism. And he’s married to a former NFL cheerleader. For god’s sake, man, what more could you ask of a candidate?
Far be it from us to stick our necks out, but we think we’re looking at the future of the Republican party.
Democrat Congressman Robert Brady put his foot deep into his mouth on MSNBC on Monday, but trusty leftist apologist Andrea Mitchell came to the rescue.
Democrat Congressman Robert Brady put his foot deep into his mouth on MSNBC on Monday, but trusty leftist apologist Andrea Mitchell came to the rescue.
Mitchell: What is the secret here to turn-out? In the old days, in the old machine days, it used to be what we called “walking around money,” handing out money to get people to the vote. Is it still the case? What do you do? What is the magic of the Democratic machine in Philadelphia?”
Brady: We still have the street money and we’re very knowledgeable.
The meaning seems clear. Brady’s admitting that the Democrats buy votes in Philadelphia. In fact, it seemed so clear that Mitchell revisited the issue five minutes later just to give Brady a way to explain away his previous statement.
Does anyone doubt that the producer was in the booth screaming, “Andrea! Go back and give this moron some cover.”
This may look and sound like a Saturday Night Live skit, but it’s for real. This is Chris Erickson, candidate for the U.S. Senate representing Vermont’s Marijuana Party.
This may look and sound like a Saturday Night Live skit, but it’s for real. This is Chris Erickson, candidate for the U.S. Senate representing Vermont’s Marijuana Party.
Seriously. Vermont has a Marijuana Party, which goes a long way toward explaining the phrase “Vermont Governor Howard Dean.”
The only way this commercial could be better is if the candidate’s name had been Mary Jane.
Always-outspoken state Sen. Rickey Hendon on Saturday took aim at Republican gubernatorial nominee Bill Brady at a “get out the vote” rally on the West Side: “I’ve never served with such an idiotic, racist, sexist, homophobic person in my life.”
Illinois State Senator Rickey Hendon must be a happy man – after laboring in relative political obscurity for years, he’s hit the national news twice in a week.
Is there a single rational Democrat in the entire state of Illinois?
Last week we featured the ebonics commercial he ran earlier this year during his campaign for Illinois lieutenant governor. If you thought that was extreme, wait until you hear what he said on Saturday.
The Chicago Sun-Times has the bizarre details:
Always-outspoken state Sen. Rickey Hendon on Saturday took aim at Republican gubernatorial nominee Bill Brady at a “get out the vote” rally on the West Side.
“I’ve never served with such an idiotic, racist, sexist, homophobic person in my life,” Hendon said before introducing Gov. Quinn. “If you think that the minimum wage needs to be three dollars an hour, vote for Bill Brady. If you think that women have no rights whatsoever, except to have his children, vote for Bill Brady. If you think gay and lesbian people need to be locked up and shot in the head, vote for Bill Brady.”
Other Democrats were immediately seen scurrying away from the Hendon as quickly as possible.
What do you get when you combine Alan Grayson and Anthony Weiner, two of the loudest, shrillest members of the House of Representatives? Take your choice: (a) Lunacy, (b) Stupidity, (c) Hypocrisy, or (d) All of the above.
What do you get when you combine Alan Grayson and Anthony Weiner, two of the loudest, shrillest members of the House of Representatives? Take your choice:
(a) Lunacy, (b) Stupidity, (c) Hypocrisy, or (d) All of the above.
No real need to answer that question, because the answer is all too obvious.
Waaaaay back in October 2009, other members of the House of Representatives were beginning to notice that Florida Congressman Alan Grayson was, shall we say, not normal. One of them, Anthony Weiner (D-NY) said, “Is this news to you that this guy’s one fry short of a Happy Meal?”
But times change. Now, with Democrat control of the House hanging by a thread, Weiner has seen the error of his ways. He now says, “When Alan Grayson wins, America wins.”
Translation: Grayson’s nuttier than a fruitcake, but he’s our fruitcake.
Joe Biden is a heartbeat away from the Presidency. And from the look on the cop’s face, he’s about a heartbeat away from getting his clock cleaned, too.

The looks on all the participants’ faces are perfect. It’s like Norman Rockwell captured a moment in time on Biden’s Bizarro World.
George Clooney stopped HBO host Bill Mayer and told him that conservatives have done far more than liberals to support his efforts in Darfur.
It’s not surprising that Bill Maher had his facts wrong when he attacked conservatives. But it was surprising when reliably liberal guest George Clooney stopped the obnoxious HBO host and told him that conservatives have done far more than liberals to support his efforts in Darfur.
Maher started the sequence by saying, “I don’t think conservatives are bad people, I think they have a hard time being empathetic to people who are not like them at all.”
First Clooney chastises the studio audience for applauding Maher’s stupidity and then he sets the record straight.
We may have to consider lifting our self-imposed ban on George Clooney movies.
Is this just another sign that the Democrats are in trouble? For god’s sake, man, when Bill Clinton can’t fill a high school gym in a Democrat stronghold, times are tough.

There was a time when Bill Clinton could fill arenas even larger than his ego
The Detroitistan News has the Cliff Notes:
Clinton, who campaigned in the battleground state of Florida earlier this week, is popular in Detroit and trying to fire up the party base in Michigan today with stops today in Detroit, Ann Arbor and Battle Creek.
But he began his speech just before 3 p.m. in a high school gym that was less than half full. The appearance was in support of gubernatorial candidate Virg Bernero, shown in most polls to be trailing Republican candidate Rick Snyder by 20 percentage points.
The echos in the nearly-empty gym reverberated almost as loudly as the ones in Joe Biden’s head.

Step Two: The audience had other ideas and spontaneously begins reciting the Pledge.
Step Three: Moderator steps off the tracks to get out of the way of the moving train.

When James Cameron says “We’re going to have to live with less,” what he really means is “You’re going to have to live with less while I live with more.”
James Cameron, director of Titanic and Avatar, said, “I wanted to make an environmentally conscious mainstream movie … It will be a dying world if we don’t make some fundamental changes about how we view ourselves and how we view wealth … We’re going to have to live with less.”
Of course, when he says “We’re going to have to live with less,” what he really means is “You’re going to have to live with less while I live with more.”
We don’t begrudge anyone living the lifestyle their income allows them to live. What we begrudge is their hypocrisy.

CAIR-NY said someone threw a jar of nails near the entrance of a Huntington, N.Y., mosque Wednesday night. It’s being investigated as a hate crime.
Find nails in your driveway and it’s a hate crime. Find nails in everyone’s driveway but yours and it’s discrimination.
CAIR, the lunatics who bitch and moan about every perceived and imagined Islamic insult, have come up with a new one.
A tip from CAIR: Notify the FBI next time you find a nail in your driveway
The New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NY) today called on the FBI to investigate a nail attack on a mosque in that state as a possible hate crime.
CAIR-NY said someone threw a jar of nails near the entrance of a Huntington, N.Y., mosque Wednesday night. The jar broke and nails were scattered in the area of the mosque’s driveway. Suffolk County police are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime. Representatives of the mosque say other possibly bias-motivated incidents have occurred in recent months.
State and national religious and political leaders must address the rising number of hate incidents targeting American Muslims and their institutions,” said CAIR-NY Community Affairs Director Faiza N. Ali. “We urge the FBI to add its resources to the investigation of this troubling incident.”
The Editor found a nail in his front left tire last week. Apparently he converted to Islam and didn’t know it and was, therefore, the victim of a nail attack slash hate crime.
That being said, we find ourselves agreeing with CAIR. Throwing nails in front of a mosque was wrong. The perpetrator should have throw box cutters instead.
