Chris Wallace exposes Howard Dean as a liar, Howard Dean exposes Howard Dean as a moron

One-time Presidential hopeful Howard Dean guested on FOX News Sunday and accused the network of racism for its coverage of the Shirley Sherrod and Black Panthers stories. That’s when Chris Wallace came out swinging.

President. Howard. Dean. Pardon us while we shudder at the mere thought of the combination of those three words.

One-time Presidential hopeful Howard Dean guested on FOX News Sunday and accused the network of racism for its coverage of the Shirley Sherrod and Black Panthers stories.

That’s when Chris Wallace came out swinging, pointing out that Sherrod had been fired by the White House before Fox News ever aired the woman’s name.

“Facts be damned,” Dean seemed to say, “I have a liberal meme to communicate here.”

The video is a classic.

Kerry says same thing about his yacht that he said about Vietnam: “Can I get out of here please?”

This is hilarious. The esteemed Senator John Kerry, the tax-dodging senior senator from Massachusetts, was mobbed by reporters who insisted on asking impertinent questions about his new $7,000,000 luxury yacht and why he hasn’t paid the Commonwealth of Massachusetts the pound of flesh he’s so quick to demand of the little people.

Looking like a cornered rat, he finally turned to his driver and spoke the immortal words he first uttered in Vietnam, “Can you get me out of here, please?”

The only thing missing was a flesh wound on the ass. And when we say “ass”, we are, of course, referring to the senior senator himself.

Oops! Former racist who’s now a non-racist and accuses others of being racists is married to a racist

Shirley Sherrod’s husband, Charles Sherrod, sounds suspiciously racist in this video clip. Unless maybe we’re just not up on urban slang and his reference to “the white man and his uncle Toms” is like the word bad, which really means good. Yeah, that’s probably it.

According to the left wing media, that Shirley Sherrod woman has renounced her racist past and is now pure as the driven snow. There’s not a prejudiced bone in her body. She’s a regular Rosa Parks. She’s Nelson Mandella in drag.

Except for one thing. One tiny little thing. Her husband, Charles Sherrod, sounds suspiciously racist in this video clip. Unless maybe we’re just not up on urban slang and his reference to “the white man and his uncle Toms” is like the word bad, which really means good. Yeah, that’s probably it.

Sherrod: Finally, we must stop the white man and his Uncle Toms from stealing our elections. We must not be afraid to vote black and we must not be afraid to turn a black out who votes against our interests. In a few days or weeks, the FCC will announce that we have won a full power community-owned radio station in all the majority. The result of years of work. Tears that we shed so many times when the TV and the newspaper comes out the day of an election or the day before an election and tell white folk all over wherever we’re running someone for an office that blacks are going to take this office over. And thousands are coming to the polls. And you gotta get it. But we had no means of communicating with our people. so it’s a blessing that finally we will have a radio station to communicate with thousands of people.

Oh, by the way, these paragons of virtue named their daughter Russia. Russia Sherrod. For real.

The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Writing For A Website Aimed At Complete Idiots

Media Matters, which obviously believes the rules of journalism apply only to lesser mortals than they. Otherwise they would have to worry quoting sources and references and stuff like that. But as you will see, no such rules apply to the mighty pens of Media Matters.

One of the worst parts of our job is having to pore over loads of leftist crappola journalism every single damn day in order to bring you more reasons to hate the media.

A good case in point is Media Matters, which obviously believes the rules of journalism apply only to lesser mortals than they. Otherwise they would have to worry quoting sources and references and stuff like that. But as you will see, no such rules apply to the mighty pens of Media Matters.

As proof, consider the following story from that paragon of leftist journalism, MediaMatters.org:

Bipartisan agreement: Fox-hyped New Black Panthers case is a phony scandal

Numerous media and political figures, including Fox News contributors and Republicans, have dismissed the Fox-hyped phony scandal surrounding the New Black Panthers Party, with the Republican vice chairwoman of the U.S. Civil Rights Commission even criticizing conservatives on the commission for trying to use the case “to topple the [Obama] administration.” Despite this, Fox News has hyped the manufactured scandal more than 100 times since June 30.”

That’s it, the whole story, as it ran at Media Matters, which is apparently far too busy trashing conservatives in general and Fox News in particular to worry about trivial things like naming sources or referencing quotes.

unnamed-source
We're pretty sure this image has nothing to do with this story, but when we did a Google image search for "unnamed source", it came up. So what the hell.

With that in mind, we thought it might be fun to do our own story following the rules of the Media Matters School of Journalism:

Bipartisan agreement: President Obama is not doing a good job

Several Democrats and Republicans have agreed that President Obama’s administration is doing a really crappy job. This fact has been continuously supported by many polls that say pretty much the same thing. A couple of unnamed Democrats have actually gone so far as to accuse the White House of advancing a socialist agenda. Despite this, President Obama refuses to resign.

The line immediately below this one is a newfangled journalistic thingamabob called “a source.” You should give it a try sometime, Media Matters.

Oliver Stone hits the leftist trifecta, defends Ahmadinejad, Stalin and Hitler

Not content with being known as a Hollywood eccentric, director Oliver Stone has given up all pretense of normality and moved directly into lunatic territory.

NewsMax has the dictatorial details:

Director Oliver Stone belittled the Holocaust during a shocking interview with the Sunday Times today, claiming that America’s focus on the Jewish massacre was a product of the “Jewish domination of the media.”

The director also defended Hitler and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and railed against the “powerful lobby” of Jews in America.

Stone said that his upcoming Showtime documentary series for “Secret History of America,” seeks to put Hitler and Communist dictator Joseph Stalin “in context.”

Yes, of course, Hitler was merely misunderstood. And in Stone’s mind, it’s always Springtime for Hitler.

Tax-dodging John Kerry’s new $7,000,000 yacht was built overseas

The flotsam that was once John Kerry’s liberal reputation is washing away with every detail that comes out about his luxurious new $7,000,000 yacht. Now, at a time when New England shipyards are suffering depression-like conditions, Kerry had his yacht built in New Zealand.

The flotsam that was once John Kerry’s liberal reputation is washing away with every detail that comes out about his luxurious new $7,000,000 yacht. Now, at a time when New England shipyards are suffering depression-like conditions, Kerry had his yacht built in New Zealand.

The Boston Herald, Kerry’s hometown newspaper, has the details:

“Darn, that would have been a wonderful job for a Maine builder,” said Jane Wellehan, president of the trade group Maine Built Boats. “If someone comes to build a $7 million boat that would employ half the population of some towns for a year or two. Boat building is such a critical component of our coastal economy.”

Gregory Egan, who owns the Crosby Yacht Yard in Osterville, said Bay State boat builders must feel cut adrift by Kerry as well.

“I’m confident that anything constructed in New Zealand could be constructed here in the state,” he said. “From a political perspective, it seems to me he could have thought twice about that one.”

News that Kerry was docking the 76-foot custom-built sloop in Newport, R.I., was first reported in the Herald Friday. Sources told the Herald the yacht cost $7 million, meaning Kerry would owe the state more than $500,000 in excise and sales taxes.

The Isabel has two VIP main cabins, a glossy teak interior and a wet bar and wine storage in the pilothouse. It is billed as a “departure from the norm in the opulent world of yachting” and designed to be piloted without a crew.

With the nation enduring a nasty economy, painful joblessness and extreme belt-tightening, word of the luxury yacht’s foreign construction – as Americans yearn for work – could create a political tempest for Kerry.

“The message is, ‘The American boat builders aren’t good enough, and the Massachusetts people aren’t good enough to maintain it.’ It’s just a bad message all around,” said Connecticut boater Steve Potter, who docks in Charlestown.

In Kerry’s defense, he did attempt to make it up to American ship builders last week by voting to extend their unemployment benefits.

Strangest headline of the day: “Cross-dressing man caught having sex with dog at English castle”

A CROSS-dressing man was caught having sex with a dog in the moat of a picturesque English Castle, it has emerged.

In a moat? That’s disgusting. News.com has details of the doggie style dalliance:

A CROSS-dressing man was caught having sex with a dog in the moat of a picturesque English Castle, it has emerged.

The 33-year-old transvestite mounted the canine after it ran off from its owner at Pendennis Castle – a historical fortress in southern England built by King Henry VIII – on the morning of July 10, the UK’s Telegraph website reported.

The pet’s owner had been touring the castle with a friend when the dog chased after the cross-dresser. By the time the woman caught up with her pet, the man was already having sex with it.

Castle staff detained the man as police were called to the scene, a spokesman for English Heritage, which manages the attraction, said.

“This really was a very rare and unusual incident,” the spokesman said.

The man was later said to have made a “full and frank confession” to the incident, which remains under police investigation.

When he says “full and frank”, we assume he’s referring to Barney Frank. But we could be wrong.

Obama secretly supported release of the Lockerbie bomber before he publicly opposed it

THE US government secretly advised Scottish ministers it would be “far preferable” to free the Lockerbie bomber than jail him in Libya. Correspondence obtained by The Sunday Times reveals the Obama administration considered compassionate release more palatable than locking up Abdel Baset al-Megrahi in a Libyan prison.

Most. Transparent. Administration. In. History.

We ran a story at the time of the Lockerbie bomber’s release in which British officials basically said, “Obama and Clinton are lying sacks of…uhhhh…let’s just leave it at liars.”

We remember seeing an article at the time – but can’t find it now – in which a British official cryptically noted something to the effect that “They know what they said secretly.” We always wondered what that comment meant, but now its meaning has been revealed.

The Australian reports the administration’s disgraceful deception:

THE US government secretly advised Scottish ministers it would be “far preferable” to free the Lockerbie bomber than jail him in Libya.
Correspondence obtained by The Sunday Times reveals the Obama administration considered compassionate release more palatable than locking up Abdel Baset al-Megrahi in a Libyan prison.

The intervention, which has angered US relatives of those who died in the attack, was made by Richard LeBaron, deputy head of the US embassy in London, a week before Megrahi was freed in August last year on grounds that he had terminal cancer.

The document, acquired by a well-placed US source, threatens to undermine US President Barack Obama’s claim last week that all Americans were “surprised, disappointed and angry” to learn of Megrahi’s release.

Scottish ministers viewed the level of US resistance to compassionate release as “half-hearted” and a sign it would be accepted.

The US has tried to keep the letter secret, refusing to give permission to the Scottish authorities to publish it on the grounds it would prevent future “frank and open communications” with other governments.

Got that? Communications are to remain frank and open. Unless they prove embarrassing to Barack Obama, in which case they can be dishonest and secret.

CBS goes to the Mexican border, finds neo-Nazis instead of illegal aliens

CBS, the one-time Tiffany network, sent reporter Steven Fabian to the Arizona-Mexico border. He didn’t find any illegal aliens, but he did find neo-Nazis.

CBS, the one-time Tiffany network, sent reporter Steven Fabian to the Arizona-Mexico border. He didn’t find any illegal aliens, but he did find neo-Nazis.

In fact, the CBS website headlines the story “Neo-Nazis patrolling U.S. border.”

At the beginning of his report, Fabian says, “J. T. Ready is the leader of tonight’s group. He is also a member of the National Socialist movement, a group that some experts call a neo-Nazi organization that believes in a white separatist state.”

Unfortunately, Fabian never identifies these “experts” nor the source of their information. He never quizzes Ready about his neo-Nazi beliefs. And he never disputes Ready’s assertion that his group is looking for drug smugglers and illegal aliens because the federal government won’t.

Ahhh, but Fabian does mention that this armed band of neo-Nazis actually found a few illegal aliens during their patrol and reports on the brutal treatment they suffered at the hands of the evil Aryans. They were “given water and turned over to authorities.” No beatings. No ovens. No nothin’.

Later, toward the end of the report, Fabian says, “Citizen patrols like this one, led by an alleged neo-Nazi organization, worry local law enforcement.”

Again, no evidence is presented to support the assertion that Ready is a neo-Nazi. He may well be. We don’t know. There are certainly thousands of online references that say he is. But wouldn’t that have been an interesting line of questioning for Fabian to follow?

But what do we know about such things. No one’s ever called us the Tiffany of blogs.

Rachel Maddow lies: Fox had absolutely nothing to do with the Shirley Sherrod story

Smug, smirking, smarmy Rachel Maddow took what passes at MSNBC as an in-depth look at the Shirley Sherrod incident and laid the entire blame at the feet of Fox News. Of course, she was lying, but that was probably Fox News’ fault, too.

Smug, smirking, smarmy Rachel Maddow took what passes at MSNBC as an in-depth look at the Shirley Sherrod incident and laid the entire blame at the feet of Fox News. Of course, she was lying, but that was probably Fox News’ fault, too.

Turns out that Fox never mentioned the story until after Sherrod had already resigned her position with the USDA. And that is proven by the very clips that Maddow used to condemn Fox.

Fact is, a closer look at the three Fox video clips Madow uses as “evidence” prove exactly the opposite of what she thinks they prove. The on-screen captions in those three clips read:

  • USDA official resigns over racially-charged remarks
  • Moments ago Sec. Vilsack accepted Sherrod’s resignation
  • USDA official resigns over controversial remarks
  •

(If you can’t stomach watching the entire clip, go to the 4:10 mark to see the clips):

Each of those graphics indicate that Sherrod had resigned before Fox reported the story. Yet Maddow smugly comments, “How’s that for efficient! How’s that for action! Fox News and a conservative website uncover what they say is an admitted racist in the Obama administration and she is forced to resign immediately.”

To summarize: Fox reports that Sherrod has already resigned, yet Maddow uses them as “evidence” that she resigned because of Fox News.

Don’t look now, Rachel, but your effect preceded your cause.

Perry Mason you ain’t.

How’s your Recovery Summer going? Only 23% of voters think we’re not in a recession

Just a few weeks ago, President Obama and Vice President Biden foolishly began touring the country and touting what they called “Recovery Summer.” Unfortunately, the economy has refused to cooperate. And the American people are calling it the Horse Hooey Summer.

Hang ten, Moondoggie. It's Barack Obama's Recovery Summer!

Just a few weeks ago, President Obama and Vice President Biden foolishly began touring the country and touting what they called “Recovery Summer.” Unfortunately, the economy has refused to cooperate. And the American people are calling it the Horse Hooey Summer.

Qunnipiac University has the depressing numbers:

The U.S. remains in a recession, 79 percent of voters tell the independent Quinnipiac University poll, compared to 74 percent who felt that way in May and 71 percent who said so in May of 2008, when the economy began its slide.

American voters say 52 – 44 percent the economy is not beginning to recover. Only 23 percent say the economy is getting better, while 31 percent say it is getting worse and 44 percent see no change. In May, 32 percent of voters thought the economy was getting better, while 24 percent said it was getting worse and 43 percent saw no change.

Summer of Recovery doesn’t seem to be working. And Summer of our Discontent makes a lousy slogan.

It’s a quandrey for the President. What’s a socialist to do?

Considering the fact that Marx and Mao are dead, the question that comes to mind is how could MSNBC go more liberal?

The Hill peaks into the future via Keith Olbermann’s tweets:

MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann tweeted on Friday that Comcast wants to make his network “more liberal” when it completes its merger with NBC Universal.

The $30 billion merger is currently under review at the Justice Department and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

“Yeah, they want to go more liberal,” Olbermann tweeted in response to a question about the merger.

So apparently Comcast’s business plan calls for an even smaller audience. Or Keith Olbermann is fantasizing.

We know which way we’re leaning toward.

Anthropologist explains why 28% of voters still strongly approve of Obama

If you’re anything like us, you look at the polls and think to yourself, “How can 28% of the voters still think this guy’s doing a great job?”

In the immortal words of philosopher Neil Sedaka, "Breaking up is hard to do."

If you’re anything like us, you look at the polls and think to yourself, “How can 28% of the voters still think this guy’s doing a great job?”

Well, here’s the answer. They’re hooked on something as addictive as drugs – love.

New research on the brain shows losing a lover can have the same effect on a person as trying to kick a substance addiction, says biological anthropologist Helen Fisher.

She’s studied the brain for 35 years, and says that discovery is the most interesting one yet.

When people have been rejected from love, they pine for it, they whine for it, they live for it, and they die for it, Fisher said on The Early Show.”

“You can’t stop thinking about this person. You crave the person. You do inappropriate things. You distort reality. You lie in bed and cry,” said Fisher.”You drink too much, you drive too fast, you do very inappropriate things when you’ve been rejected in love,” said Fisher.

Sometimes you even feel a tingle going down your leg.

They’re not “illegal aliens” anymore. They’re now “displaced foreign travelers”

Gone are the days when you could call an illegal alien an illegal alien. Also gone are the days when you could call a drug dealer a drug dealer. As far as the U.S. Forest Service, that combination now earns you the dignified title of “displaced foreign traveler”.

marijuana displaced foreign traveler
The garden grown by displaced foreign traveler Gauldry Almonte-Hernandez

Gone are the days when you could call an illegal alien an illegal alien. Also gone are the days when you could call a drug dealer a drug dealer.

As far as the U.S. Forest Service, that combination now earns you the dignified title of “displaced foreign traveler”.

The Redding Searchlight takes a hilarious look at the neologistic news:

Just a typical foreign tourist visiting California, Gauldry Almonte-Hernandez must have spent a day at the San Diego Zoo and taken in the Venice Boardwalk, then driven up foggy, twisty and beautiful Highway 1 to take in the sights of San Francisco. After shopping in Chinatown, dining in North Beach and admiring the street theater around Pier 39, he headed north to see the world-famous coastal redwoods.

But something went horribly wrong.

On the road to the Lady Bird Johnson Grove, he must have taken a wrong turn on Highway 36. Once up in the rugged mountains of Trinity County, anyone can get lost. Cell coverage is spotty. Gas stations and supplies are scarce. The poor gentleman’s vacation went terribly wrong, and the next thing you know, he found himself camped out at a remote marijuana plantation south of Hayfork.

At least, that’s the impression a reader might get from a U.S. Forest Service news release, sent out to the media Tuesday morning, about a marijuana raid earlier this month. It describes Almonte-Hernandez as a “displaced foreign traveler from Michoacán, Mexico.”

Strangely, though, this poor displaced traveler — far from welcoming his rescue by the Forest Service, Trinity County Sheriff’s Department and Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement — instead reportedly tried to flee and hide as those agency’s officers arrived at the marijuana “garden,” which contained more than 7,000 plants.

A Forest Service law-enforcement dog team ran down Almonte-Hernandez, who, the Forest Service says, faces a federal charge of manufacturing a controlled substance that, if he is convicted, could carry a 10-year prison sentence.

Is that any way to treat a displaced foreign traveler?

Look for Eric Holder to dismiss all charges against Almonte-Hernandez. And don’t be surprised if the Forest Service transforms Smokey the Bear into Tokey the Bear.

The Shirley Sherrod incident gets curiouser and curiouser

In this clip, the conservative congressman tells talk show host Ben Shapiro that Sherrod was hired by the USDA under highly unusual circumstances.

Just when you thought the Shirley Sherrod incident was fading away, up pops Republican Rep. Steve King with a whole new perspective.

In this clip, the conservative congressman tells talk show host Ben Shapiro that Sherrod was hired by the USDA under highly unusual circumstances.

King tells the story of the Pickford Farms case, in which black farmers were discriminated against. Claims were paid out to more than 20,000 black farmers despite the fact that there were only 18,000 black farmers in America.

Turns out that one of the largest payouts went to – are you ready? – Shirley Sherrod. And the timing between her payout and her initial hiring at the USDA raises some questions in King’s mind.

Hmmmmm.

Republicans are running against Obama, Democrats are running from him

Roy Blunt, Republican candidate for Senator in Missouri, has officially produced the season’s first campaign commercial that links his opponent to Obama.

Roy Blunt, Republican candidate for Senator in Missouri, has officially produced the season’s first campaign commercial that links his opponent to Obama.

“Missourians have a clear choice in this election,” it says. “If they want a
rubberstamp for the liberal policies of Nancy Pelosi, Harry
Reid and Barack Obama, they should support Robin Carnahan. But if
they want someone who will fight for Missouri families and jobs, they
ought to support Roy Blunt.”

And then there’s this little gem from the Austin Statesman:

As I reported last night on the Postcards blog, Democratic sources say President Barack Obama will be in Austin and Houston on Aug. 9 for a pair of fundraisers. And Democratic gubernatorial nominee Bill White doesn’t plan to be there.

Said White spokeswoman Katy Bacon, “That week is jam packed, and he’s not scheduled to be in Houston or Austin at all except for the night of the 12th. In August, Bill will be talking with Texans about the future of our state, laying out his plans for the same.”

The president’s approval numbers aren’t good in Texas, and Gov. Rick Perry has repeatedly sought to link Obama and White.

“Just too darn busy to appear with Obama. Other things to do. Schedule’s packed. The family’s in town. Oh, I thought he was coming in the following weekend. Schedule mix-up. The dog ate my homework.”

What a difference two years makes.

Headline number one reads, “Ex-Sen. McGovern celebrates birthday with sky dive.”

Headline number two reads: “Parachuting donkey shocks Russian beachgoers.”

Our initial reaction was that it was the same news item reported by two different sources, but much to our surprise, these are completely unrelated stories.

mcgovern skydiiving

Here’s the first story, as reported by Newsmax:

Ex-Sen. McGovern celebrates birthday with sky dive

In his 88 years, George McGovern has served as a U.S. senator and made a run for the presidency. And now he can say he’s jumped out of an airplane, too.

McGovern, a Democrat who represented South Dakota in the Senate from 1963 to 1981, celebrated his 88th birthday Monday morning by going sky diving in Florida.

He said his tandem jump was dedicated to increasing awareness of people who are starving around the world, particularly children.

He told the Florida Today newspaper that he hoped people would contact their congressional representatives to encourage them to increase funding to fight hunger.

McGovern lost the 1972 presidential election to Richard Nixon.

And then there’s this story, the one not about McGovern, reported by AFP:

skydiving donkey
Photo of a donkey skydiving

Parachuting donkey shocks Russian beachgoers

Russian beachgoers got a shock when they saw a donkey soaring in the blue skies over the balmy beaches on the Sea of Azov in southern Russia last week, police said on Tuesday.

Attached to a parachute, the animal screamed in fear as it circled over heads of holidaymakers sunbathing on a beach in the Cossack village of Golubitskaya in the Krasnodar region.

A regional police spokeswoman said the donkey ended up in the skies as a result of an impromptu advertising campaign by several Russian entrepreneurs to attract beachgoers to their private beach.

Instead, they attracted the attention of regional police who learned of the flying donkey earlier this week and launched a probe.

“The donkey screamed and children cried,” regional police spokeswoman Larisa Tuchkova told AFP. “No-one had the brains to call police.”

Instead, she said, people reached for their cameras and bombarded a local newspaper with phone calls.

Now that we’ve given it a little more thought, it’s should have been obvious that the second story had nothing to do with George McGovern. If it had, the headline would have read, “Parachuting ass shocks Russian beachgoers.”

According to the website Politifi “Vice President Joe Biden brushed aside suggestions on Sunday that Democrats will suffer big losses in November mid-term Elections, vowing that Barack Obama’s governing Party will “shock the heck out of everybody”.

Of course, the free world listens breathlessly when Joe Biden speaks. We mean here is the man who reminded us that “JOBS” is a three-letter word and that you have to have a slight Indian accent to go into a Dunkin’ Donuts or a 7-11.

The article continued by saying “Speaking on the ABC News program This Week, Biden dismissed prevailing wisdom that Democrats, 17 months into Obama’s transformative residency in the White House, would suffer a drubbing at the hands of salivating Republicans. “I don’t think the losses are going to be bad at all.”

Hmmm. We will leave it up to the IHTM readers to decide who sounded less intelligent in the above paragraph – Joe Biden for his idiotic statement or Politifi for saying “Obama’s transformative residency in the White House.”

Top ten reasons Obama’s poll numbers are lower than Al Gore’s tongue at a strip club

10. Hillary Clinton badmouths Obama at UN every chance she gets.
9. Hollywood celebs refuse to take pollsters’ calls.
8. Bush, Trilateral Commission, and Skull & Bones continue to rig votes at Gallop.

obama poll numbers down
The trend is not your friend, Mr. President.

In case you haven’t heard, President Barack Obama’s poll numbers are down. Way down. For example, 54% of the country thinks he’s doing a lousy job on the economy.

This has left the leftist media scrambling. Why are the President’s numbers so low when they’ve done all the could to get him elected and prop him up?

Fortunately, speculation is one thing the mainstream media is good at. Obama’s poll numbers are down because Americans are spoiled little brats. Or, because he hasn’t blamed Bush enough.

But there have to be other reasons. Which leads directly to our top ten reasons why Obama’s poll numbers are in the basement:

10. Hillary Clinton badmouths Obama at UN every chance she gets.
9. Hollywood celebs refuse to take pollsters’ calls.
8. Bush, Trilateral Commission, and Skull & Bones continue to rig votes at Gallop.
7. One word: white people are Racist with a capital R.
6. Obama’s hypnotic stare now known as just the way he looks when he reads the teleprompter.
5. Did we mention, “RACISM.”
4. Recovery Summer postponed due to oily beaches.
3. Lady Gaga’s failure to appear at White House office party has supporters miffed.
2. Years of poor public education resulted in miseducation. Wait a minute. Scratch that. Teachers unions are on Obama’s side.
1. Near monopoly of pro-Obama media is not total monopoly.

No, he’d never do that because that would be hypocritical. On second thought, that’s exactly what he’d do.

But instead of berthing the vessel in Nantucket, where the senator summers with the missus, Teresa Heinz, Isabel’s hailing port is listed as “Newport” on her stern.

Could the reason be that the Ocean State repealed its Boat Sales and Use Tax back in 1993, making the tiny state to the south a haven – like the Cayman Islands, Bermuda and Nassau – for tax-skirting luxury yacht owners?

Cash-strapped Massachusetts still collects a 6.25 percent sales tax and an annual excise tax on yachts. Sources say Isabel sold for something in the neighborhood of $7 million, meaning Kerry saved approximately $437,500 in sales tax and an annual excise tax of about $70,000.

C’mon, we say cut Kerry a little slack. Do you have any idea how many bottles of ketchup you have to sell to make $400,000?

Democrat congressman wants to put his hand deeper into your pocket (and we’re not talking about Barney Frank)

Rep. Pete Stark introduced H.R. 5783, the Investing in Our Future Act. My legislation would simply impose a small tax — of 0.005 percent — on these currency transactions. The money raised would be put toward investments in children, global health and climate change mitigation.

Democrat Congressman Pete Stark, as in Stark raving lunatic

Traveling overseas? Then you’re going to need to exchange your American dollars into zlotys or bolivars or doubloons. And liberal Congressman Pete Stark sees that as opportunity to dig deeper into your pocket.

Here is how the left wing lunatic makes his case in The Hill:

Wealthy traders and big financial institutions make huge bets on the fluctuations in currency value, and they can make massive profits if their bets are correct. This type of speculation helped to worsen the recent financial crisis and serves no purpose other than to make a few people and institutions even richer.

Today, I introduced H.R. 5783, the Investing in Our Future Act. My legislation would simply impose a small tax — of 0.005 percent — on these currency transactions. The money raised would be put toward investments in children, global health and climate change mitigation.

Of course, what Stark doesn’t say is that the tax would also be felt by the average Joe taking a vacation overseas.

So with that in mind, we make this heartfelt appeal to anyone who knows Mr. Stark:

Please let the esteemed congressman know that there already is a tax on currency. We pay it through interest rates established by the Federal Reserve and through the inflation brought about by the hyper creation of fiat money.

While you’re at it could you also please inform him that if he is really so concerned with the children, perhaps he should work against the trillions of dollars in debt this congress and this President are assigning to them.

Now please remove your hand from my pocket, Congressman.

Joe Scarborough rants, “We’re screwed if this administration is afraid of a guy with a chalkboard.”

Joe Scarborough laughs that if the Obama administration is afraid of Glenn Beck, a mere cable TV show host, we are in big trouble.

Joe rants. Joe raves. Joe actually makes us laugh with him instead of at him. And that may be a first.

His point? If the Obama administration is afraid of Glenn Beck, a mere cable TV show host, we are in big trouble.

Unfortunately, Joe is correct on both counts.

Bobby Jindal reminds everyone why he’s a rising star

Here’s the real Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal making everyone remember why he’s a rising star in the Republican party and making everyone forget that regrettable response he gave to an early Obama speech.

Jindal. Christie. Ryan. Daniels. Pence. Bachmann.

The Reagan legacy is in good hands.
