“Hey, you know how Obama’s half black and half white? Here’s a cool graphic idea.”

Accompanying their election coverage on their website, CBS published this photoshopped picture of a half black/half white President Obama with Republicans and Democrats on either side of him as if to say he is split between the two.

Let’s file this under “Tasteless PhotoShop.” Either that or “Holy freakin’ moly, what if Fox News had done it.”

Needless to say Obama’s white side is on the side of the GOP’s John Boehner and Eric Cantor. His black half is on the side of Harry Reid and Charles Schumer. Are they saying that Obama will have to act white with Republicans?

How could anyone think that changing the President’s skin tone like this would be a good idea? This has got to be either one of the most racially insensitive and just plain ol’ stupid photoshops a major news organization has done since Time Magazine blackened OJ Simpson’s face. The idiocy of this is only heightened by the fact that Obama’s heritage is mixed.

Ebony and Ivory sucked when Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder did it as a duet. It’s even worse when Barack Obama does it solo.

Somebody get the smelling salts: MSNBC just admitted Obama is incompetent

Joe Scarborough speaks the unspeakable on MSNBC and admits that senior Democrat senators, committee chairmen even, have personally told him that they think Obama is incompetent.

This one has us a little weak kneed. A little dizzy. A little overwhelmed. We do believe we have the vapors.

Joe Scarborough speaks the unspeakable on MSNBC and admits that senior Democrat senators, committee chairmen even, have personally told him that they think Obama is incompetent.

Mika, of course, is horrified by this revelation and attempts to shift the subject to a completely unrelated subject.

Joe will have none of it.

We’re sorry for claiming Captain Kirk was in command of Captain Picard’s starship

Next thing you know, they'll confuse the Klingons and the Romulans

YESTERDAY, a news.com.au article incorrectly stated that the Star Trek starship USS Enterprise-E, otherwise known as model NNC-1701-E, was the successor to Captain Kirk’s original USS Enterprise. It has since been brought to our attention that the NNC-1701-E in fact came two models after Captain Kirk retired and was under the command of Captain Jean Luc Picard.

Read the original, poorly-researched article here

User “Your Mum’s Lunch” led the charge of those who correctly pointed out that after losing the original Enterprise to the Klingons, Captain Kirk was given the Excelsior Class Enterprise-B as a stop-gap measure until the refit of the Enterprise-A was completed.

Kirk’s last ship was the Ambassador Class Enterprise-C.

Enterprise-D and Enterprise-E were in fact, the first of the Galaxy Class models and were under the command of Captain Picard.

There were also some concerns about whether the incorrect use of the term “hyperspace” in describing warp drive technology may harm the original Star Trek concept, particularly the books.

News.com.au apologises unreservedly for the error.

There was no intention whatsoever to suggest Captain Kirk may have commanded the Galaxy Class Starships Enterprise-D and Enterprise-E.

Any damage to the Star Trek brand incurred by the use of the term “hyperspace” is regretful.

No malice was intended and a correction to the original article will be made.

We also agree that Patrick Stewart is a handsome man, a sentiment expressed by several readers.

Addendum – We’re also sorry for any errors in this apology.

Patrick Stewart handsome? Piffle. We’re pretty sure that alien women prefer Captain Kirk twenty-to-one.

Newsweek: TV show with black stars cancelled because America’s not ready for super-negros

Newsweek introduces the concept of “super-negros” to explain why a really horrible TV show was canceled. Imagine the uproar if Fox had said the same thing. Race mongering writer Allison Samuels explains it all in Newsweek.

Newsweek introduces the concept of “super-negros” to explain why a really horrible TV show was canceled. Imagine the uproar if Fox had said the same thing.

Race mongering writer Allison Samuels explains it all in Newsweek:

I think it’s possible that a slightly more obvious, disturbing reason could be behind Undercovers’ failure, and it’s pretty familiar: race. Prime-time audiences just weren’t ready for “super-negros” on the small screen. And that’s exactly what Undercovers was: a show about black people doing very “unblack” things. Before anyone gets upset, let me explain. “Super-negro” was a term my family often used while watching old Sidney Poitier movies back in the day. In Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner (our favorite), Poitier portrays a black doctor in love with a white, wealthy young socialite during the ’60s. Pretty early in the film, you begin to realize that Poitier’s character is not just any black doctor (an accomplishment in itself for most people then, and now); he’s a black doctor with degrees from several Ivy League universities, an internationally known scholar behind cures of dozens of diseases in Africa and elsewhere. Overkill. But Poitier portraying a “regular negro” was simply not good enough during those times, so the “super-negro” was born. The same could be said of his character from In the Heat of the Night, a Philadelphia cop with highly decorated awards.

So if we understand Samuels’ logic, audiences 40 years ago accepted the super negro, but today’s audience won’t. Race relations, apparently, have gone backward in the last four decades.

According to HarperCollins.com, “Allison Samuels is an award-winning Newsweek correspondent who has covered sports and entertainment since 1996. Samuels is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, the Big Sisters of America, and the UCLA Black Studies Department board of directors. She lives in Los Angeles.”

Here’s another concept, Allison, you race mongering moron: Undercovers sucked. Absolutely sucked. It would have sucked if it had starred white actors. It would have sucked if it had starred Martian actors.

Well, no, actually, now that we think about it, Martian actors would have been pretty cool. Undercovers may have lasted a few more weeks if it had starred Martians as long as they weren’t super Martians. The American people just aren’t ready to accept super Martians.

Gene Shalit Chris Matthews says the new Valerie Plame movie is this generation’s Casablanca

On Monday night the tremors and hallucinations returned and he told his audience that Fair Game, the new movie about the Valerie Plame scandal, stacks up favorably against Casablanca.

There was a brief moment last week when it appeared that Chris Matthews had regained a bit of his sanity. Never mind. The moment passed.

On Monday night the tremors and hallucinations returned and he told his audience that Fair Game, the new movie about the Valerie Plame scandal, stacks up favorably against Casablanca.

Matthews: Let me finish tonight with a stirring movie I saw last night. I had heard of the first-rate script, the masterful performances by the leads, Naomi Watts and Sean Penn. What I was not prepared for in Fair Game was the story itself, the wondrous dramatic courage of it all. This is one fine movie. While there will never be another Casablanca, Fair Game is perfect for our murky time.

On this review, we give Chris two thumbs down. And one finger up.

Reliable Anderson Cooper reliably on-message for Democrats

Expect an increase of PDS – Palin Derangement Syndrome – in the coming days. Until Sarah Palin announces that she will or will not run in the 2012 election the left will remain in attack mode with an increased effort to smear her.

Expect an increase of PDS – Palin Derangement Syndrome – in the coming days. Until Sarah Palin announces that she will or will not run in the 2012 election the left will remain in attack mode with an increased effort to smear her. Tuesday night on CNN the host of 360 made his contribution to the cause.

Anderson Cooper was commenting on the sniping between Palin and the Wall Street Journal. It’s a bit convoluted so stick with us: Palin made a statement based on something she read in the Journal. A reporter for the Journal attacked her on her facts. Palin fired back, pointing out she got her info from his paper! The WSJ posted an editorial that defended Palin.

Cooper’s take on this?

Palin owes the guy an apology for attacking him and is becoming unhinged because she has been attacking the media a lot lately.

Yes, in the Bizzaro world of Liberals, the woman who has been under a steady barrage of attack from the media since before they even knew who she was (as we learned in the Journ-O-Listo scandal) is the one who is unhinged and should apologize!

Cooper spent five full minutes on his Palin bash before bringing on guests David Gergen and Dana Loesch to offer their opinions. Why aren’t the guest spots seen in the clip CNN posted at Cooper’s site? Because BOTH disagreed with him and pointed out that Palin was right. The network, in true CNN-hide-the-truth fashion, edited them out.

Our question for the Coop: Did you do a segment demanding an apology from PBS’s Gwen Ifill and the Daily Kos’ Marky Milquetoast for their farcical and incorrect attack on Palin for her statement to the Tea Party, “Let’s party like it’s 1773”?

Of course not.

Florida’s attorney general says 28 states may join lawsuit against ObamaCare

Florida Attorney General-elect Pam Bondi predicts that a majority of states will join the suit against Obamacare. She says as many as 28 states may join the suit.

Only 43 states elect attorneys general. Florida Attorney General-elect Pam Bondi predicts that a majority of them will join the suit against Obamacare. She says as many as 28 states may join the suit.

Even liberal California just elected a Republican attorney general, so it will be interesting to see if he goes against Governor Moonbeam and joins the suit.

By the way, when did they pass the law saying that all Republican women must be hot? We must have missed that in the excitement of last week’s elections. After Janet Reno the words “hot” and “attorney general” were never supposed to be used together in the same sentence. But Pam Bondi? Va-va-voom

Effeminate Obama: Nurture or nature?

The New York Times reveals one of the President’s early influences:

Mr. Obama’s family rented the guest house inside a compound belonging to a prominent physician. There, according to the neighborhood’s longtime residents, the young Obama, who had already experienced differences in class and religion in his short stay in Indonesia, was exposed to another aspect of Jakarta’s diversity.

His nanny was an openly gay man who, in keeping with Indonesia’s relaxed attitudes toward homosexuality, carried on an affair with a local butcher, longtime residents said. The nanny later joined a group of transvestites called Fantastic Dolls, who, like the many transvestites who remain fixtures of Jakarta’s streetscape, entertained people by dancing and playing volleyball.

“He’d experienced differences.”

Mere code words, friends, mere code words.

World Net Daily has the irrational ramblings and delusional details:

“Progressives won in the 2010 mid-term elections,” wrote Karen Dolan, a fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies, or IPS, and director of the Cities for Progress and Cities for Peace projects based at the radical organization.

“The Congressional Progressive Caucus, the largest caucus in the House Democratic Caucus at over 80 members, emerged virtually unscathed, losing only three members,” she wrote, in the piece published on the IPS website.

… “The veil of a happy Democratic governing majority is finally lifted. We didn’t have it then; We don’t have it now. But what we do have now is a more solidly progressive bunch of Dems in Congress and a president presumably less encumbered by the false illusion that playing nice will get him a date with the other team.”

She went on to recommend that progressives “throw our support unabashedly behind the Congressional Progressive Caucus, and let’s push Obama to finally do the right thing through as many Executive Orders as we can present to him.”

“As many Executive Orders as we can present to him.” We? Apparently, Obama’s Executive Orders are now being written by George Soros and he’s not even pretending to support democracy any more.

John Kerry seems baffled by the concept of paying the taxes he expects others to pay

The Boston Herald has all the taxing details:

You may recall that Kerry lowered the flag and surrendered in July, agreeing to pony up more than $400,000 to cover state taxes on the toney tub. Mr. Teresa Heinz broke out the checkbook four days after the Track set off a furious tempest with our report that he had purchased the 76-foot floating palace and ported her in Rhode Island, thus depriving the commonwealth of its pound of flesh.

A spokesman for the state Department of Revenue confirmed that “a sales tax return was filed” by Kerry last summer to cover state taxes that would have been owed, had he kept the Isabel in his home state’s waters. But according to the Nantucket tax collector, he never paid any excise taxes to the town on the Isabel.

Penalties? Interest? We doubt it.

Because when you’re John Kerry, what’s good for thee is never good for me.

Glad to meet you: Obammie greets Indian commie

Our two-word review of the upcoming Valerie Plame movie: Bush’s fault.

Q: How do you make a factual movie about the Valerie Plame affair and not cast the role of Richard Armitage?
A: You don’t.

Q: How do you make a factual movie about the Valerie Plame affair and not cast the role of Richard Armitage?
A: You don’t.

It is no great secret that the entertainment industry would never let the truth get in the way of a good story. But with Fair Game Hollywood has put a new spin on a very old practice. It would seem that this go round they won’t let a good story get in the way of a political agenda.

No one will be happier to hear that than Patrick Fitzgerald. You remember Fitzgerald. He’s the federal prosecutor who got a conviction against Scooter Libby for supposedly lying about a crime – a crime that Fitzgerald knew had never been committed.

These days Fitzgerald’s in Chicago bumbling the case against Rod Blagojovich. Mostly because a serious prosecution of the colorful former governor might require evidence that could implicate President Obama.

Throw in the fact the whole controversy originally erupted because Plame used her position so that her husband could be given official government sanction to score political points against President Bush and that she effectively outed herself and you’d have a far more truthful and a far more compelling film.

Unfortunately we don’t see that one getting made any time soon.

Communists make it clear that they support the Democrats

"I'm Josef Stalin and I approve this message."

So, naturally, American commies are terribly disappointed that the Democrats didn’t do better in last week’s elections.

As election results roll in and the Republican party notches up a great victory for reaction, many people will probably ask, “How did this happen here?” How could an electorate fired up for progressive change just two years ago fall flat on its face? What did the Democratic Party do to lose the overwhelming support it received in the last election cycle?

Many will say that it is because fantastic amounts of money were unleashed to support the hysterical theatrics of the ultra-right as embodied in the Tea Party movement. This is, of course, correct…

However, there were some other factors that made it easier for the right wing to do their dirty work…Anti-communism has been unleashed once again through the voice of hysterical pundits and this has served to confuse the working people of this country. Anyone who falls to the left of Karl Rove on the political spectrum has been branded a “socialist” and many people fall for this since they don’t have a clue about what socialism really means. Socialists have failed to meet this challenge and have made little effort to clarify what socialism actually means.

It’s just an interesting twist of fate, we think, that communists should support Barack Obama, a guy who’s appointed more czars than anyone in history.

Or it may just be another case of liberal linguistic gymnastics.

A morality tale from Little Barry Soetoro’s childhood

One of Barack Obama’s Indonesian friends recalls that even as a child, Little Barry Soetoro was deceptive and manipulative.

obama barry soetoro childhood indonesia
Little Barry Soetoro poses with some of the earliest victims of his deceptions and manipulation

At least that’s our take away from this anecdote in the New York Times:

In the compound, Mr. [Barry Soetoro] Obama often played with the two sons of the physician’s driver. One time, recalled the elder son, Slamet Januadi, now 52, Mr. Obama asked a group of boys whether they wanted to grow up to be president, a soldier or a businessman. A president would own nothing while a soldier would possess weapons and a businessmen would have money, the young Obama explained.

Mr. Januadi and his younger brother, both of whom later joined the Indonesian military, said they wanted to become soldiers. Another boy, a future banker, said he would become a businessman.

“Then Barry said he would become president and order the soldier to guard him and the businessman to use his money to build him something,” Mr. Januadi said. “We told him, ‘You cheated. You didn’t give us those details.’ ”
“But we all became what we said we would,” he said.

Yes, one became a banker, one became a soldier and one became a confiscatory leftist who thinks others are there to help him fulfill his redistributionist dreams.

That’s a beautiful childhood memory, damn it, and we found ourselves tearing up just a little bit as we read it.

Is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad a secret IHateTheMedia.com fan?

That’s right, someone in Iran, home of the world’s strictest Muslim theocracy, is reading IHateTheMedia.com. We were even more surprised to see that he had landed on our “Fox News Anchor Babes In Short Skirts” story.

We have a reader in Iran. We don’t know exactly who he, but we have our suspicions.

We know this thanks to a website called StatCounter.com that provides a set of analytical tools that allow website owners to take a closer look their viewers. We can see things like total page views, unique page views, most popular pages, etc.

One of our favorite tools is the “Recent Visitor Map.” It shows the city and country of each of your website’s last 500 visitors, what IHTM page they landed on and their referring URLs.

ahmadinejads-wife
If this were your wife, you'd be Googling "Hot Fox News Babes," too

So Friday at 10:39 p.m., just before calling it a night, we checked the Recent Visitor Map. The image at the top of this story is a cropped screen capture of that map. As you might expect, most of our visitors came from the United States, but others came from Canada, Australia, Brazil, Turkey, India, China, The Phillipines, and oddly enough, Iran.

That’s right, someone in Iran, home of the world’s strictest Muslim theocracy, is reading IHateTheMedia.com.

We assumed that visitor would be reading one of our stories about Muslims (sorry for the stereotype, but our experience has been that most of our hits from Muslim countries land on stories involving Muslims).

Anyway, we were surprised to see that the Iranian visitor was located in Tehran. We were even more surprised to see that he had landed on our “Fox News Anchor Babes In Short Skirts” story that we did about two years ago. And then we got the biggest surprise of all. This reader found IHateTheMedia.com by doing a Google search for “lovely older black hot ladies.”

Now we don’t care what this Iranian’s personal proclivities may be. To each his own. Traffic is traffic, so we certainly welcome visitors from all around the world.

And in that spirit we say, “Welcome, Mahmoud.” Your secret is safe with us.

Self-styled Edward R. Murrow sends out his demo reel

You know that a man of Keith Olbermann’s immense talent wouldn’t have been out of work long when he can send out a demo reel featuring this kind of power, this kind of strength, this kind of intelligence, and dare we say it, this kind of charisma.

When a newscaster is looking for a new job, he puts together a reel of his best work and sends it out to prospective employers.

Before it was revealed that the entire Keith-Olbermann-has-been-suspended story was nothing but a publicity stunt, we had high hopes that Keith would end up as the co-anchor on a new Huntley-Brinkley style newscast with Dan Rather at the HD Network. Pairing those two losers would have been pure genius.

But whether it was the HD Network or some other network no one watches, you know that a man of Keith Olbermann’s immense talent wouldn’t have been out of work long when he can send out a demo reel featuring this kind of power, this kind of strength, this kind of intelligence, and dare we say it, this kind of charisma.

Good night and good luck, indeed, Keith. We missed you during your long weekend off.

“Two years ago his vision inspired voters. Today the same man often sounds strangely bloodless. Back then his cool, self-assured composure impressed many, now the same character comes across as cold, arrogant, even elitist. The right may well put on a shrill rough performance, and stand in the media spotlight. However, this president was never going to win votes on the right anyway. Obama’s historic victory in 2008 was created by the middle of American society — the independent voters and the suburbanites. It is this center that has abandoned him.”

Friends and family gather at the bedside of Al Gore’s Chicago Climate Exchange

Al Gore points at the person responsible for the death of the CCX

PajamasMedia.com has the obituary:

Global warming-inspired cap and trade has been one of the most stridently debated public policy controversies of the past 15 years. But it is dying a quiet death. In a little reported move, the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) announced on Oct. 21 that it will be ending carbon trading — the only purpose for which it was founded — this year.

Although the trading in carbon emissions credits was voluntary, the CCX was intended to be the hub of the mandatory carbon trading established by a cap-and-trade law, like the Waxman-Markey scheme passed by the House in June 2009.

At its founding in November 2000, it was estimated that the size of CCX’s carbon trading market could reach $500 billion. That estimate ballooned over the years to $10 trillion.

The definition of chutzpah: Pelosi throwing a party to celebrate her accomplishments as Speaker

Let’s see: Bankrupting the nation, record unemployment, spearheading one of the greatest repudiations a political party has ever suffered, passing the most unpopular bill in history…yup, Princess Pelosi has a lot to celebrate.

TheHill.com has the party planning specifics:

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) will host a reception Wednesday afternoon on Capitol Hill to celebrate “The accomplishments of the 111th Congress,” according to an invitation sent out Monday.

The event will offer congressional Democrats, many of whom will not be returning to Congress next January, an opportunity to reflect on the party’s legislative victories over the past two years. These have included the passage of major healthcare reform, financial regulatory reform, and climate and energy legislation.

Not likely to be lost on attendees, however, is that the unpopularity of many of these “accomplishments” among voters went far to contribute to a wave of Democratic losses in last week’s mid-term elections, in which Democrats lost control of the House and their majority in the Senate was weakened.

You’ve been on double secret probation since the beginning of 2009, Nancy. And now that you failed your midterms, there’s only one answer.

Toga! Toga! Toga!

Lovestruck Slate writer asks, “Am I the last person in America who still adores President Obama?”

Yes, Curtis Sittenfeld, you are the last person in America who adores Obama. Even Chris Matthews, liberal rat he is, has jumped off the sinking Love Boat that is the Obama administration.

In a word, yes.

Yes, Curtis Sittenfeld, you are the last person in America who adores Obama. Even Chris Matthews, liberal rat he is, has jumped off the sinking Love Boat that is the Obama administration.

curtis-sittenfeld
Despite her first name, Curtis Sittenfeld is a woman of sorts

Let’s start with a few quick, slobbering, try-to-hide-the-bulge-in-your-pants (oh, wait, we forgot that “Curtis” is a woman) comments before we get to the heart of Curtis’ paean:

Two years after voting for him, I’m just as exhilarated as Oprah Winfrey was in Grant Park on Nov. 4, 2008. … I’ve remained in the tank for Obama … the thrill still hasn’t worn off for me of once again having an intellectually nimble president, not to mention one who doesn’t pride himself on going with his gut when it comes to foreign policy … when I see Obama on television, I’m unfailingly struck by his intelligence and charisma, by his easygoing humor, by the magnificence of his megawatt smile. He just makes me proud … my Obama admiration is a kind of emotional inverse of the right-wing Obama antipathy…

Consider that a mere warm-up, because we’re getting to the main event. Now Curtis begins working herself into a frenzy that can only end with an explosion of bodily fluids:

I like that he’s married to—and seemingly still quite taken with—a strong, opinionated, gorgeous woman, and that he has two ridiculously cute daughters. I like his mind-bendingly multicultural extended family. I like that in a campaign interview in Glamour magazine, he could fluently and unabashedly talk about Pap smears. I thought that the beer summit of 2009 was delightful. I was even excited when Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize, not realizing until pundits explained otherwise that I was supposed to be aghast at its prematurity … I was one of those Democrats who thought it’d be nice to have an entrée of eight years of Hillary, with Obama as a vice-presidential side, followed by eight years of a more seasoned Obama as the main course. I was always an Obama admirer, but maybe the fact that I was initially rooting for Hillary has prevented me from feeling the disappointment in his presidency expressed by certain Obamamaniacs. So swoony and ardent was their Obama love during the campaign that it couldn’t be sustained; my more measured affection, by contrast, has grown over time.

At this point, I love Obama so much that I recently thought if it were 1961, I’d probably display a bust of him in my living room. Then I realized I’m already displaying the 2010 equivalent: On my living room wall, I have a framed version of that famous November 2008 New Yorker cover of the O moon over the Lincoln Memorial. Meanwhile, on my desk, I keep a printed-out photo I first saw on the Huffington Post in May 2009, of Obama in the Oval Office, bending over so a little African-American boy could rub his head. The boy, it turns out, was the child of a White House staffer, and the reason Obama was bending was, according to the caption in the White House’s Flickr account, “The youngster wanted to see if the President’s haircut felt like his own.”

I don’t care if it’s good PR—the picture still practically brings tears to my eyes. It reminds me of the sense of excitement and possibility I felt in November 2008, as if in electing Obama, we Americans were acting as our best, smartest, least racist selves, as if there really was change we could believe in. And, OK, so it’s been a long two years since then, and for a lot of people it’s been an undeniably hard two years. But I’m just not convinced that’s Obama’s fault.

For god’s sake, Curtis, get a room. You know, one of those rooms that rent for an hour where they don’t change the sheets between customers. Send us the bill.

From the 2005 video vault: Chris Matthews hearts Glenn Beck

Get ready to be surprised. Maybe even shocked. Back in 2005 Glenn Beck appeared on MSNBC’s Hardball to promote his book “The Real America: Messages from the Heart and Heartland.” Matthews gushes over Beck. Repeatedly.

Get ready to be surprised. Maybe even shocked. Back in 2005 Glenn Beck appeared on MSNBC’s Hardball to promote his book “The Real America: Messages from the Heart and Heartland.”

This was back in the days when Beck was still relatively unknown, long before his CNN TV show and when he still had relatively few affiliates in his radio network. It was also prior to MSNBC’s hard turn to the left.

The interesting thing about this interview is that Beck was still the same Beck we see today on Fox, but Matthews has changed completely.

You won’t believe it until you see it for yourself, and you may not even believe it then, but Matthews gushes over Beck. Repeatedly.

Going into a commercial break he says, “This guy’s a great guy, Glenn Beck. When I come to work really late I listen to the guy coming in to work. Glenn Beck.”

Later Matthews ends the interview by saying, “You’re great. I listen to your show all the time. I think you’re about 30 years older than you are. You’re amazingly smart for such a young guy.”

As Yid With Lid said, “The video below teaches us a little bit about who really has the courage of his convictions, versus who adapts his opinions to please management.”

Obama can’t bring himself to condemn Jihad: “It depends on what the definition of jihad is”

C’mon, President Obama, you’re starting to sound like Bill Clinton when he said “It depends on what the definition of is is.” It’s jihad. It’s not that tough a concept.

C’mon, President Obama, you’re starting to sound like Bill Clinton when he said “It depends on what the definition of is is.”

It’s jihad. It’s not that tough a concept.

“Well, the phrase Jihad has a lot of meanings within Islam, and is subject to a lot of different interpretations,” President Obama said. “…The overwhelming majority view their obligations to their religion as ones that reaffirm peace and justice and fairness and tolerance…”

We think the problem here is homophonic. All this time we thought people were saying, “Islam is a religion of peace” when they were actually saying “Islam is a religion of pieces.”

As in, “After the suicide bomber set off his bomb, there was a piece of him over here and another piece of him over there, because, you know, Islam is a religion of pieces.”
