Life imitates Seinfeld IV: Omaha woman cleans houses top to bottom and topless to bottomless

This is one of those days when a blogger wakes up early because he hears the internet screaming his name. Consider this Seinfeldian story from Omaha.com.

This is one of those days when a blogger wakes up early because he hears the internet screaming his name. Consider this Seinfeldian story from Omaha.com:

An Omaha woman offers a different uniform while she cleans house: topless, bottomless or fully nude.

This week, a brochure advertising those services was distributed in the neighborhood near 83rd and Burt Streets.

The business, ODD’Z & EN’Z Janitorial & More, advertises “house cleaning and more . . . in plain or exotic professional attire,” as well as cooking services and child care, according to the flier.

House cleaning by a nude maid starts at $125, according to the flier. Nude cleaning with “satisfaction” is $175.

The business owner, Kia Carroll, 27, said she’s not a prostitute. Instead, she said, “I am providing entertainment, cleaning up houses and having fun doing it.”

Omaha.com gets down to the barenaked truth:

Carroll said she has been cleaning houses for two years, but the exotic twist is a relatively new thing. A while back, she said, a client asked her to help out with a barbecue. Carroll said the client asked “if I had any exotic clothes I could wear.”

The idea was born.

If Carroll serves beer while she cleans, she may be the best house cleaner ever. EVER.

Crack IHTM research team discovers the reason for the burkha

This worldwide obesity chart shows the four countries with the fattest women are Qatar, Saudi Arabia, West Bank/Gaza and Lebanon. Suddenly, we understand why Muslim men demand that their women wear the burkha.

Now that they’ve issued a correction, perhaps they could issue a clarification

The British Press Complaints Commission (yes, there really is such an organization or as they would say, organization) happily reports that the Sun UK has issued the following correction. But it looks to us like they also need a British Press Clarifications Commission.

voodoo-drink-blood
Feel free to stick a pin in the British Press Complaints Commission voodoo doll

Yeah, we hate the media. But we hate people who regulate the media even more.

For example, the British Press Complaints Commission (yes, there really is such an organization or as they would say, organization) happily reports that the Sun UK has issued the following correction:

“In an article on February 3, we implied two thirds of Haitians drank goats’ blood while practising voodoo. We are happy to make clear this is not the case.”

That’s all fine and dandy, British Press Complaints Commission. But it brings up some questions as to exactly what the Sun UK is actually correcting.

Are they saying that a different percentage of Haitians drink goats’ blood while practicing voodoo? If so, is the percentage higher or lower?

Are they sayig that two thirds of Haitians drink goats’ blood, but not while they’re practicing voodoo?

Are they saying that Haitians practice voodoo, but not while drinking goats’ blood?

Looks to us like they also need a British Press Clarifications Commission.

The May ratings are in: Larry King has fewest viewers in 20 years

Larry King’s ratings are falling even faster than his pants would without those suspenders. Sad to say, but the gravel-voiced old duffer scored his lowest monthly viewer numbers in twenty years in May.

Is Larry King's head growing or is his body shrinking along wiih his ratings?

Larry King’s ratings are falling even faster than his pants would without those suspenders. Sad to say, but the gravel-voiced old duffer scored his lowest monthly viewer numbers in twenty years in May.

The New York Times reports the details of the descent:

According to Nielsen data, the struggling CNN talk show had an average of 653,000 viewers each night in May, its lowest average since the data started being electronically stored in the early 1990s.

He had been averaging about 700,000 viewers each night this year, down markedly from last year.

Last week The New York Times detailed the low ratings of “Larry King Live,” a symbol of CNN’s struggle to compete in a partisan cable news environment.

CNN had no comment about Mr. King’s low ratings mark. In a news release it emphasized the eroding ratings of its higher-rated competitors, noting that both the reigning champ, the Fox News Channel, and the No. 2 cable news channel in prime time, MSNBC, had lost audience share compared with the same month in 2009. But CNN’s numbers have dropped more dramatically.

CNN also emphasized that its sister network, HLN, continued to post ratings gains. Mr. King’s competitor on HLN, Joy Behar, is beating him in the ratings with more regularity than ever.

One suggestion for the New York Times: Never again use the words “Larry King” and “regularity” in the same sentence.

We’re just sayin’.

White Congressional candidate barred from debate with black candidates

This is a real story. We’re not making it up. We’re not even exaggerating it for comedic effect. Liz Carter, a white woman from Georgia, has been barred from a debate for Congressional candidates. The reason? She’s white.

This is a real story. We’re not making it up. We’re not even exaggerating it for comedic effect.

Liz Carter, a white woman from Georgia, has been barred from a debate for Congressional candidates. The reason? She’s white.

The forum, moderated by Newsmakers Live, is solely for the black Republicans and Democrats running for Johnson’s 4th Congressional District seat, Carter took to the Internet to say.

Carter, a Republican, expressed her disappointment on Twitter Wednesday, asking, “What happened to diversity?”

“We called them, we asked to participate,” said Carter’s campaign manager, Cheryl Prater. But she said Newsmaker Live’s event moderator, Maynard Eaton, told the campaign that because Carter is white, she’s only allowed to sit in the audience and not participate.

Coming up next: Separate but equal bathrooms, drinking fountains and schools for blacks and whites.

That sound you hear is Martin Luther King turning over in his grave.

Pot calls kettle black: Obama rips Bush’s “unconscionable ineptitude” during Katrina disaster

Breitbart.tv put together this great video compilation of the Obama ripping President Bush a new one for his administration’s “unconscionable ineptitude” in New Orleans following Katrina.

Just about the same time that oil from the Gusher in the Gulf began washing ashore on the pristine white sands of Pensacola, Florida, President Obama hosted a Paul McCartney concert at the White House on Wednesday night.

Do not mistake this for resting because, you know, the President assured us that he wouldn’t rest until that damn hole is plugged. In the President’s defense, listening to the pompous 70-year old former Beatle sing for two hours has definitely become more work than pleasure so we do not believe it qualifies as “rest” on Obama’s part.

Breitbart.tv put together this great video compilation of the Obama ripping President Bush a new one for his administration’s “unconscionable ineptitude” in New Orleans following Katrina.

You know, sort of like the “unconscionable ineptitude” his administration is now showing in the Gulf.

Guffaws galore: Jon Stewart attacks Obama’s lackadaisical response to the oil blowout

Jon Stewart came back to work rested and reinvigorated after a two-week vacation. His first order of business? Rip President Obama a new one for his hazy, unfocused response to the Gusher in the Gulf.

Jon Stewart came back to work rested and reinvigorated after a two-week vacation. His first order of business? Rip President Obama a new one for his hazy, unfocused response to the Gusher in the Gulf.

Stewart’s team cleverly cut together (a) footage of Obama swearing that he wouldn’t rest until the damn hole was plugged, and (b) footage of him doing nothing but resting.

The result is a powerful, yet hilarious demonstration that Obama’s words and actions are rarely in sync.

Warning: As usual, fainthearted viewers may find Stewart’s language objectionable.

Fox News reports the remarkable results:

She’ll face Democrat Diane Denish in a general election race deciding who becomes New Mexico’s first female governor.

It will be the third woman-against-woman gubernatorial general election match-up in U.S. history.

Martinez, the Dona Ana County district attorney, won a five-way contest for the GOP nomination Tuesday night with 51 percent of the vote in unofficial returns and nearly half of precincts reporting.

Clinton: Visit a beach in Louisiana.

Clinton: Cool down, big fella. We’re going for the concerned leader shot. I want you to squat in the sand.

Obama: Then what?
Clinton: Then you reach down and pick up a little something out of the sand.
Obama: Like what?
Clinton: Well, I picked up rocks in Normandy in ’94. The press ate it up. But since this is an oil spill photo op, pick up something oily.
Obama: How about one of those little oil balls?
Clinton: (laughing) Ha, ha, ha. Oil Balls. That’s what Monica called me.
Obama: You’re sure this will work, Bill?
Clinton: Trust me. The press eats this stuff up. (Aside) I can’t believe Hillary lost to this guy.

Here comes the annual “This is going to be a bad hurricane season” prediction

If there’s one thing we’ve learned in recent years, it’s that hurricanes aren’t very predictable, but hurricane prognosticators are. Year in and year out, the “experts” predict that this will be a major hurricane season.

Hurricane prognosticators once again find themselves at the eye of the storm

If there’s one thing we’ve learned in recent years, it’s that hurricanes aren’t very predictable, but hurricane prognosticators are.

Year in and year out, the “experts” predict that this will be a major hurricane season. As Reuters reports, his year is no different:

The Atlantic storm season could produce as many as 14 hurricanes this year, the U.S. government’s top climate agency predicted on Thursday, setting the scene for potentially the most intense season since 2005.

In its first forecast for the storm season that begins next Tuesday, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) forecast 14 to 23 named storms, with 8 to 14 developing into hurricanes, making it one of the most active ever.

Three to 7 of those could be major Category 3 or above hurricanes, with winds of more than 110 miles per hour (177 km per hour), the agency said, echoing earlier predictions from meteorologists for a particularly severe season that could disrupt U.S. oil, gas and refinery operations in the Gulf of Mexico.

Sooner or later, the “experts” have to be right. But we are issuing our official annual prediction that this won’t be the year.

LA Times skews report of its own poll, says California voters “closely divided” on Arizona’s illegal alien law

Those intrepid, unbiased reporters at the Los Angeles Times have done it again. They call a 7% difference in opinion on the Arizona law “closely divided”, but heralded Barack Obama’s identical 7% margin a “decisive victory”.

los angeles times obama decisive victory Those intrepid, unbiased reporters at the Los Angeles Times have done it again. And we quote:

California voters are closely divided over the crackdown on illegal immigration in Arizona, with sharp splits along lines of ethnicity and age, according to a new Los Angeles Times/USC poll.

Overall, 50% of registered voters surveyed said they support the law, which compels police to check the immigration status of those they suspect are in the country illegally, while 43% oppose it. That level of support is lower than polls have indicated nationwide.

So now the Times calls a 7% difference “closely divided”, but heralded Barack Obama’s identical 7% margin a “decisive victory.”

Of course, the Times poll surveyed registered voters, so we can safely assume that a poll of likely voters would have skewed even more conservative and increase the margin of support for Arizona’s law.

Interestingly, the staff and management here at IHateTheMedia.com is “closely divided” on the Los Angeles Times. 50% of us think it should be used to wrap fish, but 43% think it should be used to line bird cages.

But please keep in mind that we only surveyed registered voters, not likely voters.

Smithsonian iPhone app makes it possible for you to morph into a Neaderthal

There truly is, apparently, an iPhone app for everything. Including this new one from the Smithsonian Institution that lets you see what your Neaderthal ancestors may have looked like.

The Christian Science Monitor has the ugly details of the Me-anderthal app:

First you upload a portrait of your face and line up the image with markers for the eyes, nose and mouth. Next, you choose which human species you’d like to become, including: Homo floresiensis who lived between 95,000 and 17,000 years ago; Homo neanderthalensis who lived 200,000 to 28,000 years ago; and Homo heidelbergensis who lived 700,000 to 200,000 years ago.

Expect your nose to inch up in size in the resulting MEanderthal image.
“Neandertal faces tend to have much bigger noses,” said Briana Pobiner, a paleoanthropologist at the Smithsonian Human Origins Program. “Big noses were good for humidifying and warming glacial, ice age air.”

It’s so easy a caveman could do it, so we ran a random photo through the Me-aderthal iPhone app just to see what would happen.

Good lord, those neanderthals were ugly.

Well, there you have it. Get those so-called oil experts out of the way and let the real geniuses take over.

In other news, President Obama has decided to hire Wall Street director Oliver Stone to help out with financial reform and Pulp Fiction director Quentin Tarantino to help out with gun control legislation.

Mexicano Masks™ created to help you pass as illegal alien

Mexicano Masks

Last week a Florida advertising agency created Gringo Masks designed to help illegal aliens pass as legal American residents.

Now IHateTheMedia.com has created Mexicano Masks™ designed to help legal American residents leach off the welfare system, overwhelm our public schools, overrun emergency rooms, crowd our criminal justice system, swamp our jails, and work without paying taxes. After all, who wants to look like an oppressive, racist gringo when there are so many reasons not to?

Gringo Masks
The original Gringo Masks that inspired the new Mexicano Masks™

The Mexicano Mask™ was not created for profit, but as a way to show support for and to give a face to SB1070, Arizona’s new anti-illegal alien law.

“When we first heard of the law in Arizona and the effects it could have in terms of racial profiling, we at IHateTheMedia.com discussed what we could do about it, since we have access to media,” a spokesperson for the popular website said. “How can we address the issue, but do so in a creative way while at the same time delivering a message?”

With traditional marches, rallies and “buycotts” already in full swing, Mexicano Masks™ are another direct way of getting the message across.

“The spirit in which we conceived Mexicano Masks™,” the spokesperson continued, “is definitely to offend people. The time for dialogue is long gone.”

It’s fun and easy. Just click to download (male or female) the Mexicano Mask™ of your choice by clicking on the links at the bottom of this story. Print at 200 dpi. Cut out the eyes. Put it on. ¡Chingon, cabrón! You no longer look like a racist, oppressive Norte Americano.

It’s easy to send your friends here so they can go Mexicano, too. Just give them the URL, MexicanoMasks.com, and they’ll land right on this page.

Tavis Smiley is a moron. But he’ll be quick to tell you that he’s a Christian moron. Albeit, a Christian moron who believes his Christian brothers and sisters commit mass murder on a daily basis.

Here he is in a discussion with Ayann Hirsi-Ali:

Ayann Hirsi-Ali: Somehow this guy got in his mind that killing other people would be a great thing to do and he would be rewarded for it in the hereafter…
Smiley: But Christians do that every single day, in this country.
Ali: Do they blow people up…
Smiley: Yes, Christians, every day…people walk into post offices…people walk into post offices, they walk into schools, that’s what Columbine was. I mean, I could do this all day long. There are so many more examples of Christians — and I happen to be a Christian, that’s back to this notion of your idealizing Christianity in my mind, to my read — there are so many more examples, Ayaan, of Christians who do that than you could ever give me examples of Muslims who have done that inside this country in which you live and work.

Tavis is right, of course.

The papers are just full of stories about those rabid Christian extremists who gun down their loving Muslim brothers. When they’re not cutting their heads off, that is.

Barney Frank has tongue planted firmly in cheek. We’re just not sure whose.

barney frank charles djou papers
Barney Frank wants to see Charles Djou's papers. And maybe his boxers.

It’s no secret that Barney Frank is the most ridiculous man who ever lived. Seriously.

According to The Hill, the gift that keeps on giving has just done it again:

Tongue firmly in cheek, Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) on Tuesday afternoon called on reporters to demand to see the birth certificate of new Rep. Charles Djou (R-Hawaii).

As Djou was being sworn into office, Frank walked the hallway of the Speaker’s Lobby off the House floor calling on the media to “do your job” and review Djou’s papers.

Keep in mind that this is the guy who thought it was a good idea to say “I was suckered” in reference to the male prostitution ring being run out of his residence. The same guy who sought to fool the country over his culpability in the housing meltdown despite the dozens of internet videos showing that he had everything to do with it. And the same guy even attempted to further distance himself from that scandal by claiming that although he (snicker) had a boyfriend who worked for Fannie, it was no issue because that boyfriend (snicker again) only performed in an entry position.

Considering Frank’s history, we would like to take this opportunity to advise the good folks over at The Hill that they would be much better served in the future if they were to refrain from using the phrase “Tongue firmly in cheek” and the name “Barney Frank” in the same sentence.

You’re welcome.

Al-Jazeera’s female news anchors walk out over strict dress code

Struggling networks like MSNBC should consider the burka. They'd save big bucks in the make-up department.

Let’s get to the point quickly. al-Jazeera’s management wanted its female anchors to dress more conservatively. And when they say “more conservatively,” we don’t think they mean “like Ann Coulter.”

Five female news presenters at the pan-Arab Al-Jazeera satellite television channel have resigned over conflicts with management over dress code and other issues, a journalist there said on Sunday.

“This collective resignation is not motivated just by the growing pressure on the presenters concerning their dress code, which was evoked by the media,” said the journalist, who asked not to be identified.

“The conflicts run much deeper,” the journalist added.

The news presenters who have reportedly quit are Jumana Namur, Lina Zahreddin, Lona al-Shibel, Julnar Mussa and Nofar Afli.

The Al-Hayat daily reported on Sunday that they had resigned in the past few days after petitioning management in January over repeated criticism from a top company official for allegedly not being conservative enough in their dress.

We don’t watch al-Jazeera because it’s not part of the basic package on our cable system. But we do get MSNBC. Same news, different dress code.
