“Oh! You mean that Blagojevich. Now I remember.”

“Oh, you mean that Blagojevich. Now I remember.” That’s how we recommend President Obama answer the judge’s questions about his conversations with embattled former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich should the proposed subpoenas of Obama & Friends actually be issued.

“Oh, you mean that Blagojevich. Rod Blagojevich. Now I remember.” That’s how we recommend President Obama answer the judge’s questions about his conversations with embattled former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich should the proposed subpoenas of Obama & Friends actually be issued.

According to the NY Post, “Sections of court papers filed by scandal-scarred former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich that were mistakenly made public show a deeper involvement by President Obama in picking his Senate successor and call into question the president’s public statements on the case.

According to passages in the papers filed Thursday by Blagojevich’s lawyers – which were blacked out under a judge’s order but made visible by a computer glitch – Obama, then president-elect, spoke directly to the disgraced governor on Dec. 1, 2008.

But just one week later, on indictment day for Blagojevich, Obama told reporters, “I had no contact with the governor or his office, and so we were not, I was not aware of what was happening.”

Well, sure, Mr. President, you were probably confused what with just being elected and all. That’s probably why you forgot about talking to Blago, but what about the fact that “Also contained in the unredacted papers is a claim that, contrary to his denials, Obama did push longtime friend and adviser Valerie Jarrett for his old Senate seat using a union official as a go-between with Blagojevich.”

Face it, Mr. President, we all would like to forget about Valerie Jarrett.

The mainstream media is all over this story. Just kidding.

Most of the response from the media other than Fox News and NY Post conveniently have omitted any mention of any potential misdeeds by Team Obama and focus rather on the fact that Blagojevich’s attorney’s would dare subpoena the Most Honest President In History.

Media Matters, not to be confused with any legitimate media outlet, under a heading amusingly titled “Research”, has an article headlined “Fox Nation falsely claims ‘new dirt’ from Blagojevich trial ‘implicates Team Obama.’” The article says “Fox Nation used the baseless headline ‘Blago Moves to Subpoena resident: New Dirt Implicates Team Obama’” in linking to a Mediaite story about the trial of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D-IL). However, as ABC’s Jake Tapper noted, Blagojevich “alleges no criminal wrongdoing by the president or his team” and is of “disputable credibility.”

Well, given their ironclad record of getting things right, it’s hard to argue with ABC News or Media Matters.

Just kidding again.

How Obama intends to cut healthcare premiums by 3000%: More regulations

It was just a few weeks ago that the President proudly announced that ObamaCare could cut medical premiums by a mathematically-impossible 3000%. Well, mathematically-impossible or not, they’re going to give it a try by giving state regulators new, broader powers to reject premium increases they don’t like.

It was just a few weeks ago that the President proudly announced that ObamaCare could cut medical premiums by a mathematically-impossible 3000%.

Well, mathematically-impossible or not, they’re going to give it a try by giving state regulators new, broader powers to reject premium increases they don’t like.

The Wall Street Journal reports:

When President Obama signed his health-care reform last month, he declared it will “lower costs for families and for businesses and for the federal government.”

So why, barely a month later, are Democrats scrambling to pass a new bill that would impose price controls on insurance?

In now-they-tell-us hearings on Tuesday, the Senate health committee debated a bill that would give states the power to reject premium increases that state regulators determine are “unreasonable.” The White House proposed this just before the final Obama-Care scramble, but it couldn’t be included because it violated the procedural rules that Democrats abused to pass the bill.

Looks like Nancy Pelosi was right – they had to pass the bill to find out what was in it.

And the more we find out, the less we like it.

Just what America needs: The anatomically-correct naked Obama action figure

Several months ago, we covered the vast array of Obama products available on eBay. Well, all that crappola pales in comparison to the new naked Obama action figure.

And as any of America's enemies can tell you, the naked Obama action figure is anatomically correct

Several months ago, we covered the vast array of Obama merchandise available on eBay. Well, all that crappola pales in comparison to the new naked Obama action figure.

Random-Good-Stuff.com breathlessly reveals the details:

“…this awesome Action figure of President Obama from Hot Toys (known for their Movie Masterpiece series)! At 1/6th the scale, the figure has over 38 points of articulation that allows you to pose Obama as you wish. Suitable for fabric costumes at the 1/6th scale and comes with 2 pairs of hands, 2 heads and fantastic details on his facial expression. Measures 30 cm (11.8 inches) in height.”

By “fantastic details on his facial expression”, we assume they’re saying it perfectly captures the egomaniacal upward tilt of the President’s chin and the condescending sneer he gives non-socialists.

And if you ask any of America’s enemies, they can confirm that the naked Obama action figure is anatomically-correct because it has no balls.

How one Democrat solves the lack of diversity at his rallies: PhotoShop

Romanoff’s crack tech team merged at least three photos – Romanoff amidst a group of people, a separate crowd shot and a separate photo of a black woman – to create a website banner worthy of the Rainbow Coalition.

Andrew Romanoff, a Colorado Democrat who’s waging a primary campaig against incumbent United States Senator Michael Bennet, has figured out a simple way to assure diversity at his rallies. It’s called PhotoShop.

Take one photo of Romanoff with a lily white crowd...

Romanoff’s crack tech team merged at least three photos – Romanoff amidst a group of people, a separate crowd shot and a separate photo of a black woman – to create a website banner worthy of the Rainbow Coalition.

The Denver Post has the story:

A photo montage on Senate candidate Andrew Romanoff’s website was manipulated to make it appear as though an African-American supporter was standing directly at his side in the shot.

...add an unrelated black woman and Voila! You have the website banner shown above

The woman, former Denver School Board candidate Andrea Mosby, was at his campaign kickoff at Washington Park last September. But she was not standing directly next to Romanoff when that particular picture was taken.

Mosby said Wednesday she has no problem with what happened, and Romanoff’s campaign said it did nothing wrong in putting together a series of photos that appear to be one.“We’re not putting in someone who wasn’t at the rally. We do nothing that suggests the rally is bigger than it was,” said campaign spokesman Roy Teicher.

“The practice of using Photoshop is absolutely accepted under these circumstances.”

Really? What if, oh, say, the organizers of a Tea Party had done something like this.

And if it is, in fact, absolutely acceptable, why has Romanoff now removed the PhotoShopped image from his website?

Tsk, tsk, tsk.

We must end our relationship. For although my love for you is deep, I fear that our relationship can never truly flower because I love another. Yes, Jane dearest, my heart aches for you, but my leg tingles for Barack Obama. He is like no other man I’ve ever met and I cannot get him out of my mind.

Be free, Jane. My fondest wish is that you can find a love as true as the one I have found with Barry.

Love always,

CNN has finished 4th or worse during 50 nights in weekday primetime among cable news networks in the advertiser target adults 25-54 demo. That’s 61% of the weekday nights so far (the ratings “year” began 12/28/09). On nine of the weekday nights, CNN finished fifth (behind Fox News, MSNBC, CNBC and Headline News).

Nielsen doesn’t like us posting long lists with their ratings, but I don’t see how they can quarrel with a long list of dates. These are the dates on which CNN has finished fourth or fifth in the weekday primetime A25-54 demo.

Get the smelling salts! Even Jack Cafferty supports the new Arizona illegal alien bill

We got a little weak in the knees when we heard CNN’s Jack Cafferty not only supports the Arizona SB1070 illegal alien law, but condemns the federal government for not enforcing current immigration laws.

We got a little weak in the knees when we heard CNN’s Jack Cafferty not only supports the Arizona SB1070 illegal alien law, but condemns the federal government for not enforcing current immigration laws.

Cafferty: So Arizona passes a tough law against illegal immigration and suddenly they’ve got Washington’s attention. One poll finds 70 percent of Arizona voters support this new law, so hey, maybe we better do something, too. And like the lemmings they are when they smell a chance to score some political points, and some of them need a lot of help with the midterms coming up, there is now talk of rushing immigration reform through Congress. President Obama called the Arizona law misguided. What’s misguided, Mr. President, is the federal government’s ongoing refusal to enforce the laws that are already on the books. Read the Arizona law. Parts of it are word-for-word the same as the federal statutes which continue to be all but ignored. Now we’re hear all sorts of blathering from our Washington gerbils about the need for a new federal law. There’ll be news conferences and interviews and committee hearings and draft legislation and polling, all the usual carnival acts that accompany any hot button Washington issue. Instead of simply closing the borders and enforcing the existing law so they could turn their attention to something like the national debt and the fact that the country is bankrupt, instead we’re going to get this freak show. Washington’s position on illegal immigration is patently dishonest from the top down. No enforcement, no border security. Just pandering to the Hispanic voters and the corporations that hire the illegals. And then, when one of our states that’s being ravaged by the presence of 460,000 illegal aliens inside its borders does something about it, the President says that’s misguided. What a shame. Here’s the question: Will the federal government ever enforce our immigration laws?

Thanks, Jack. That pretty much wraps it up in a neat little package with a pretty little bow on top.

News flash: Nancy Pelosi rules out White House run

Unfortunately, this AFP story doesn’t reveal which reporter asked Pelosi the question, so we’ll never know if it was sycophantic idiocy or a joke.

Our current president is already a bit of a nancy. We don't need another one.

Unfortunately, this AFP story doesn’t reveal which reporter asked Pelosi the question, so we’ll never know if it was sycophantic idiocy or a joke.

At a press conference with reporters and children on “Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day,” Pelosi had been asked whether she would ever run for president given her years of political experience.

“No. I love the job that I have,” said the speaker, who is behind only Vice President Joe Biden in the US order of succession.

“I believe that one of the reasons that I do it with the success that I have is that my members know that I am here for them, for the House of Representatives, and I’m not thinking of another career path for myself,” she said.

“But I’m very proud to be the Speaker of the House. It is a great honor, especially being the first woman,” said the California lawmaker.

The odds of Pelosi running for president are about as high as Obama telling the truth about healthcare.

First, she would have to oppose a sitting President of her own party. Second, Pelosi’s 69 years old now and if she somehow got elected, she’d be he oldest President to ever asume office. And third, her current approval level bumps along in the low 30s.

Other than minor issues, it’s a damn fine question.

Bush issues call for race war, wants “whites to stand together once again”

Oh, hold on a sec. It’s not Bush, it’s Obama. And he didn’t call for whites to stand together, he said, “It will be up to each of you to make sure that young people, African Americans, Latinos and women who powered our victory in 2008 stand together once again…”

Oh, hold on a sec. It’s not Bush, it’s Obama. And he didn’t call for whites to stand together, he said, “It will be up to each of you to make sure that young people, African Americans, Latinos and women who powered our victory in 2008 stand together once again…”

Our mistake.

But can you imagine the howls of mock liberal indignation and phony cries of “raaaaaacism” if Bush had said anything remotely similar to what Obama said?

Small riot breaks out among protestors. Democrats say, “Never mind.”

The Democrats have been warning us for months that those damn Tea Parties were time bombs ready to explode into violence. Well, the fuse burned down and the violence finally happened. Just not as predicted.

The Democrats have been warning us for months that those damn Tea Parties were time bombs ready to explode into violence. Well, the fuse burned down and the violence finally happened. Just not as predicted.

According to Fox News:

“The fight over (Arizona) Senate Bill 1070 took to the streets of downtown Phoenix, as riot Police were called to the Capitol to control an unruly group of protesters.

Witnesses say a group protesting against SB1070 began to fight with a man who was for the controversial immigration bill.

Police tried escorting that man away from the scene, fearing for his safety, when they too came under attack by people throwing items, including water bottles.

A young man was arrested during that melee.

Apparently, this outbreak of violence — which confirms the worst fears of those on the left — is no big deal because it was perpetrated by…you guessed it…those on the left.

And that automatically moves it from the dangerous and seditious category to the expression of free speech category.

That’s a great idea, you know, because those newfangled energy efficient bulbs will pay for themselves in no time. No time at all.

What’s that? It’ll take ten years for them to pay for themselves. Oh, fer Christ’s sake.

CNSnews.com reports the story:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called a Capitol Hill press conference Wednesday to unveil new light fixtures in the House cafeteria. The light fixtures cost $140,000 and will take almost 10 years to pay off in saved energy.

Ten years. The payoff on this is going to take ten friggin’ years. Got that?  The story continues:

Ayers said that the new light fixtures and window shades were installed in the cafeteria, located in the basement of the Rayburn House Office Building, because the LED [light emitting diode] light fixtures have become much less expensive.

“It’s now becoming much more affordable, so we’re sort of kicking the tires on it for the moment. It seems to work terrific. It’s got great energy savings, and it’s got – we think – great lighting quality, and the price of the light fixtures just in the last year has come down significantly.”

Of course, we’re just swimming in spare cash right now, so this is the perfect time for Pelosi to blow $140,000 on light bulbs that will take ten years to pay for themselves.

Dim bulb. And make no mistake, when we say that we’re referring to the Speaker herself.

Who says government jobs suck are not very good?

We used to think SEC stood for Security Exchange Commission, but now it’s been revealed may stand for Sex Every Chance.

SEC building
The SEC is giving a whole new meaning to the phrase, "Government employees hard at work."

We used to think SEC stood for Security Exchange Commission, but now it’s been revealed may stand for Sex Every Chance.

According to the Christian Science Monitor, “Just when it was beginning to repair its reputation with its high-profile case against Goldman Sachs, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) suffers another major blow: Senior staffers there were surfing Internet pornography – as much as eight hours per day, in one case – when they were supposed to be policing the financial industry.”

Eight hours a day? We like naked women as much as the next government employee, but eight hours a day every day?

The article goes on to say “The investigation found 31 serious offenders over the past two-and-a-half years, 17 of whom were senior SEC officers with salaries ranging from $100,000 to $222,000 per year.”

Now, c’mon, don’t you feel just a little silly for watching porn for free all these years?

Fortunately, the Greatest President and Financial Wizard In History has deemed it time to give organizations like SEC more power and authority.

So now instead of having to surf the Internet, SEC employees can have live nude dancers at work and the guys making the big bucks can hang out in the VIP lounge (no cover charge, two drink minimum).

Lap dances, anyone?

Perfect: Andy Stern leaves SEIU $85 million in debt, joins Obama’s Deficit Commission

SEIU Andy Stern left the union $85 million in the hole when he resigned. With credentials like that, it’s only natural that President Obama has appointed Stern to a position on his Deficit Commission.

This is one of those stories that makes it worthwhile for a blogger to get out of bed in the morning.

Andy Stern, Chief Thug President of the infamous Service Employees International Union, more commonly known as SEIU, left the union $85 million in the hole when he resigned.

SEIU andy stern
Thugocrat Andy Stern says, "And when I left SEIU, the deficit was thiiiiis big.

With credentials like that, it’s only natural that President Obama has appointed Stern to a position on his Deficit Commission.

The Washington Times reports the remarkable details:

Mr. Stern has claimed victories in helping pass health care legislation and getting President Obama elected, but his impact within his own organization shows gaping budget deficits and massive underfunding of pensions.

SEIU has seen its liabilities skyrocket during the past decade. The union’s liabilities totaled $7,625,832 in 2000. By 2009, they had increased almost by a factor of 16, to $120,893,259. Meanwhile, SEIU’s assets barely tripled, growing from $66,632,631 in 2000 to $187,664,763 in 2009. A significant portion of SEIU’s current assets are from IOUs from hard-up locals.

SEIU is $85 million in debt, down from its 2008 high of $102 million, and has been forced to lay off employees.

While SEIU’s pension plans were failing and its liabilities growing, Mr. Stern seemed more concerned with electoral politics than with the internal workings of the union. Indeed, politics can account for much of SEIU’s lavish spending in recent years. “We spent a fortune to elect Barack Obama – $60.7 million to be exact – and we’re proud of it,” he boasted to the Las Vegas Sun last year. In all, under Mr. Stern, SEIU spent more than $85 million to elect President Obama and give Democrats control of Congress.

Your tax dollars are in good hands. Stern may be completely unqualified to reduce the nation’s budget deficit, but he is an Obama crony. And to be completely honest, something Stern will never accomplish, being an Obama crony is the only qualification he needs.

“In order to set the stage for my remarks,” General James Jones (Ret.), President Obama’s National Security Advisor, said, “let me tell you a borderline anti-Semitic joke.”

Perhaps we paraphrase. But barely.

Jones was giving the key note speech at a Washington Institute For Near East Policy when he told this joke, the point of which seems to be that Jews are cruel, greedy merchants.

Just imagine the howls of mock liberal indignation that would result if Rush Limbaugh or any other conservative had told this joke.

Stephen Hawking to Earth: Stop trying to contact aliens

Stephen Hawking thinks alien civilizations may well exist and warns that if we Earthlings know what’s good for us, we’ll stop trying to contact them.

We consider Henry Waxman to be convincing evidence that hideous, alien creatures are already among us

Stephen Hawking thinks alien civilizations may well exist and warns that if we Earthlings know what’s good for us, we’ll stop trying to contact them.

Hawking’s Discovery Channel documentary hypothesizes some very strange looking reptilian and aquatic creatures.

The Times UK amplifies the potential alien alienation:

Such scenes are speculative, but Hawking uses them to lead on to a serious point: that a few life forms could be intelligent and pose a threat. Hawking believes that contact with such a species could be devastating for humanity.

He suggests that aliens might simply raid Earth for its resources and then move on: “We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn’t want to meet. I imagine they might exist in massive ships, having used up all the resources from their home planet. Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonise whatever planets they can reach.”

He concludes that trying to make contact with alien races is “a little too risky”. He said: “If aliens ever visit us, I think the outcome would be much as when Christopher Columbus first landed in America, which didn’t turn out very well for the Native Americans.”

Are you kidding? Apparently Hawking hasn’t seen the glitzy Indian casinos dotting the American landscape.

Thank Columbus. And roll the dice. Baby needs a new pair of shoes.

Tea for two dozen, but coffee for two hundred thousand

Consider this story to be an object lesson in media bias. Bias against conservative tea parties and in favor of liberal coffee parties.

Consider this story to be an object lesson in media bias. Bias against conservative tea parties and in favor of liberal coffee parties.

This is a typical photo of the handful of “coffee parties” that popped up in opposition to the success of the massive “tea parties” that were held from coast to coast. Nine people. Not what you’d call a big success.

coffee party

Yet here’s how Newsweek reported the story:

When Annabel Park imagined what it would be like to head a new national political movement, here is what she had in mind: a coming together of engaged, intelligent citizens who had tired of the angry rhetoric and accusations of the Tea Partiers; Americans of all political persuasions joining in a spirit of equanimity to discuss the nation’s problems, and maybe even share a laugh. It was this beautiful vision that danced in Park’s head on a recent Saturday as she made her way to Busboys and Poets, a cafe in Washington, D.C., for one of nearly 500 Coffee Party meetings taking place nationwide that day.

…All of a sudden Park was a political leader—of what, she didn’t quite know—and the target of right-wing fury. Conservative bloggers unearthed—scandal!—that she had once briefly worked for The New York Times and supported Sen. Jim Webb, a moderate Democrat from Virginia. One online commenter accused her of being a “Chinese agent.” The notoriety didn’t really hurt: the group now has more than 200,000 members, and every status update Park posts gets about a million views.

Got that? A handful of people at a handful of coffee parties is somehow extrapolated into a movement of 200,000.

And just for comparison purposes, here’s the CNN report that turned a tea party crowd of 20,000 people in Searchlight, Nevada into a mere “dozens or hundreds.”

Liberal media bias?

What do you think?

Hillary’s southern accent explained: Blame it on migraines

Remember when Hillary visited Southern states during the Democrat primaries and suddenly developed a southern drawl? At the time, we accused her of pandering to her mostly black audience. Well, now we are issuing a complete and full apology to Ms. Clinton.

It turns out there was a simple explanation after all. Migraines.

Breitbart.com explains the painful repercussions:

A British woman has suddenly started speaking with a Chinese accent after suffering a severe migraine, she said in comments quoted by British media Tuesday.

Sarah Colwill believes she has Foreign Accent Syndrome (FAS) which has caused her distinctive West Country drawl to be replaced with a Chinese twang, even though she has never even visited the country.

The 35-year-old from Plymouth, southwest England, is now undergoing speech therapy following an acute form of migraine last month which reportedly left her with a form of brain damage.

Hmmm. Brain damage. That may well explain not just Hillary’s southern drawl, but the entire liberal agenda.

Bolivian president says eating too much chicken makes you gay

Sure, it sounds daft. But we say don’t dismiss Bolivian President Evo Morales’ theory too quickly. It may go a long way toward explaining why Colonel Sanders was such a spiffy dresser.

Hugo Chavez and Evo Morales
Hugo Chavez and Evo Morales spoke to reporters after enjoying a delicious chicken dinner and midnight stroll in Tegucigalpa.

Sure, it sounds daft. But we say don’t dismiss Bolivian President Evo Morales’ theory too quickly. It may go a long way toward explaining why Colonel Sanders was such a spiffy dresser.

The Guardian UK has the deep-fried details:

Evo Morales has claimed that both homosexuality and baldness can be caused by the humble chicken.

Speaking at an environmental conference on Tuesday, Morales said chicken producers injected fowl with female hormones and insisted that “when men eat those chickens they experience deviances in being men”.

The Bolivian president since 2005 added that eating chicken could make men go bald.

Morales’s theories do not appear to have been immediately accepted by the scientific community, to put it mildly, and have been criticised by Spain’s National Federation of Lesbians, Gays, Transsexuals and Bisexuals, which sent a letter of protest to the Bolivian embassy in Madrid describing the president’s remarks as homophobic.

Eugene is a hate-free zone. And also an irony free zone.

Sarah Palin gave a speech in Eugene, Oregon a couple days ago and was greeted by the city’s official welcoming committee.

As you can see, the pink sign in the foreground indicates that Eugene is a hate free zone. The sign directly behind it proves that it’s an irony free zone.

Notice that the pink sign is in the shape of a hand. A hand, get it. It’s supposed to be like notes written on the palm of a hand. Hahahahahahaha. Oh, god, that sophisticated left wing wit just cracks us up.

The editor of IHateTheMedia.com is a graduate of the University of Oregon (yeah, that journalism degree is really paying off now). He assures us that Eugene was full of left wing lunatics when he lived there and that it’s even worse now.
