Stoned or drunk? Harrison Ford gets weird with Conan O’Brien

Let’s just put it this way: Indiana Jones Harrison Ford ain’t. In fact, he’s more like Chauncey Gardner from Being There.

Let’s just put it this way: Indiana Jones he ain’t. In fact, he’s more like Chauncey Gardner from Being There.

Or here’s a thought: maybe he really is the greatest actor of all time and this is the real Harrison Ford.

That sound you hear is NPR quaking in its boots: GOP to force vote to defund

House Republicans announced Wednesday they plan to force a floor vote on defunding NPR in response to the firing of analyst Juan Williams last month.

NPR claims tax dollars provide a mere 1% of its budget despite other analyses that say it might be as much as 25%.

You’ll soon be able to judge which number is closer to the truth based on the volume of the squeals emanating from Congress. The louder the squeals, the higher the percentage.

It's about time: Republicans are taking aim at the "P" in NRP

TheHill.com has the news that has NPR quivering with fear:

House Republicans announced Wednesday they plan to force a floor vote on defunding NPR in response to the firing of analyst Juan Williams last month.

House GOP Whip Eric Cantor (Va.) and Rep. Doug Lamborn (Colo.) said that cutting funds to the publicly subsidized news organization was the winner of the conference’s weekly “YouCut” contest, in which the public votes online on spending items they want eliminated.

“When NPR executives made the decision to unfairly terminate Juan Williams and to then disparage him afterwards, the bias of their organization was exposed,” the two Republicans said in a statement. “Make no mistake, it is not the role of government to tell news organizations how to operate. What is avoidable, however, is providing taxpayer funds to news organizations that promote a partisan point of view. Eliminating taxpayer funding for NPR is precisely the kind of commonsense cut that we have to begin making if we want to fundamentally alter the way business is conducted in Washington.”

Oh, wait. There’s another sound. If we’re not mistaken, this one is Juan Williams laughing his ass off.

Why do Democrats want Pelosi as minority leader? Because American needs jobs, damn it!

“Gaining 7,000,000 jobs begins with letting Nancy Pelosi keep hers.” No. Really. That’s what obtuse Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn) told Greta Van Susteren.

The Confucians say, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

The Democrats say, “Gaining 7,000,000 jobs begins with letting Nancy Pelosi keep hers.”

No. Really. That’s what obtuse Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn) told Greta Van Susteren in this Fox News interview.

Latest Newsweek cover: Obama is the god of all things

On the cover of the latest issue of Newsweek editor Evan Thomas, who once said that Obama is “sort of God,” decided to now call Obama the “God of all Things.”

newsweek-obama-god Back in June of 2009, Newsweek editor Evan Thomas was derided by conservatives for his pronouncement that Obama is “sort of God.”

Now, thanks to the latest issue of Newsweek, we’ve learned what sort of God he meant — Shiva the Destroyer, the multi-armed supreme god of the Hindus.

As Wikipedia explains Shiva to we non-Hindus, “Adi Sankara … interprets Shiva to have multiple meanings: ‘The Pure One,’ or ‘the One who is not affected by three Gunas of Prakrti (Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas)’ or ‘the One who purifies everyone by the very utterance of His name.'”

Got that? The Pure One … The One who purifies everyone by the very utterance of His name …The One who is eternally pure …

He is The One and we are the ones we have been waiting for. All hail the merciful Barack Obama, The One and now the one true God of all things.

By the way, we’ve never seen this mentioned anywhere before, but in researching this story we came across the fact that Evan Thomas is the grandson of Norman Thomas, six time Socialist Party candidate for President of the United States.

No wonder this guy worships Obama.

Liberal Tweetosphere goes insane over Bristol Palin’s success on Dancing With The Stars #dwts

Bristol’s unexpected success has driven the leftwing Tweetosphere absolutely insane. Bug-eyed, frothing at the mouth, shaking with anger. Read these insane tweets.

Bristol Palin surprised everyone Tuesday night when viewers of the popular Dancing With The Stars TV show voted her into this year’s finals. She’s really not one of the best dancers on the show, but who cares? DWTS is as much a popularity contest as it is a dancing contest.

Bristol’s unexpected success has driven the leftwing Tweetosphere absolutely insane. Bug-eyed, frothing at the mouth, shaking with anger.

They say she’s fat. It’s fixed. I’m pissed. She’s Sarah Palin’s daughter. She can’t dance. Teabaggers cheat. And so on and so on and so on.

Thousands of lunatic lefties felt compelled to share their sickness on Twitter. Here are some of our favorites:

And if any of my white co-workers bring up DWTS this morning, I’m throwing this whole pot of coffee on they ass…try me

bristol-palin

Bristol Palin is to Dancing With The Stars as Sanjaya is to American Idol.

The TParty are attracted to Bovine footwork and weak resumes.

these republicans are taking over! They vote Brandy off of DWTS and kept Bristol Palin! Crazy!

DWTS is not about being relateable, its about CELEBRITIES dancing, not fucking retards like Bristol “dancing”

Anyone notice that BP’bristol palin’ is also the initials of the company responsible for the oil spill in the gulf? Coincidence?

be glad ur teabaggers ensure that your self-esteem-enhanced but talent deprived daughter doesn’t learn the truth

If you really want to stop the teaparty/Bristol Palin DWTS farce then fight fire with fire. Do what they do; cheat.

bristol-palin-3

bristol palin gets $10k for every week on DWTS. she’s a teen mom w/o an education. i don’t care if she’s not good or if it’s rigged.

If Bristol palin wins DWTS then I believe the country will go bonkers

I heard bristol palin is in the finals of DWTS. If she wins then america is doomed because that means sarah palin is going to run for pres

I’m so tempted to go “OMG! Did you know that Diebold is counting DWTS votes?

I rarely watch DWTS. But now I’m irked. It’s only a stupid dance show right? Wrong. It’s cheating. It’s racism, it’s HS popularity BS.

DWTS is just an elaborate ploy to lure Bristol under the bucket of pig’s blood.

Ok. I just heard Bristol Palin might win DWTS. WTF?!? She got worse each week. Obviously Sarah Palin paid someone off!Exit polls of DWTS voters indicate 25% are Dems, 30% independent, and remainder are w Bristol wing of #Teabag Party.

Who the do the Palin’s think they are??!! 1st they rigg DWTS voting…now the Presidency?? Enough!!

LMFAO!!!! omg!!!! man if she win DWTS America finna go HAM & I’m moving 2 mars in fear of my life…

It’s not going to sink in for people how big this horrible injustice is until next week when Bristol is crowned the champion of DWTS!

I’m pretty sure Bristol Palin is the first person to never get in shape in DWTS history. She looks like a log with sparkles.

I have one thing to say about those DWTS fans. I hope you’ve got the wide screen to better present the wider Bristol.

Bristol Palin making the finals of DWTS is precisely why the Founding Fathers didnt want direct voting to elect the leaders of the country

wow my mom is cussing out Bristol Palin in Vietnamese, she’s devastated that Brandy went home!! She takes DWTS very seriously

If that substandard Bristol wins DWTS….. I’m DONE with #ABC! Teabaggers are already on the list of vile, stupid creatures.

DWTS put lipstick on a pig, now they’re trying to teach it to dance.

Why Is Stiff Ass Rythmless Bristol in The Finals Should Be Ashamed #SlapYourself!!!!!!!!!

The show should be called:Dancing with the talentless teenage unwed mom whose merit is to be the daughter of the dumbest US politician

I feel the only reason Bristol Palin is still on DWTS is because her mom is backstage w- her Bible…and her gun.

But this conservative Tweet is our absolute favorite:

Bristol made it into finals of DWTS along with Jen Grey, Kyle Massey and Lisa Murkowski who is launching a write-in campaign.

Michelle Obama named to Vogue’s best dressed list. No, seriously.

The people at Vogue are still drinking the Kool-Aid. In fact, they’re swilling it. Need proof? How about the fact that they just named Michelle Obama to their Best Dressed of 2010 list.

The people at Vogue are still drinking the Kool-Aid. In fact, they’re swilling it. Need proof? How about the fact that they just named Michelle Obama to their Best Dressed of 2010 list.

They introduced the list with this gag-inducing, overwritten, under thought out prose:

Whether it’s sleek chic or cyberfantasy, silver-screen Hollywood glamour or Holly Woodlawn camp, whether it’s East End edge or East Egg flapper dazzle, from head (artful marcel waves, tumbled-out-of-bed tousle, or candy-floss high-rise) to toe (ballet slippers with dirndls or platforms with ball gowns), the ten individualists whom Vogue celebrates as the Best Dressed of 2010 are gamely rewriting the rules. Or rather, showing us all that there are no rules beyond staying true to oneself.

Let’s get serious, Vogue.

We were expecting another story like this to come along sooner or later, so we’ve been collecting recent photos that more accurately reflect Michelle Obama’s sense of fashion when she’s truly “staying true to herself.”

Heretic in the House: Global warming skeptic may take over Science Committee

The likely next chairman of the House Science Committee says “reasonable people have serious questions” about global warming vowed to investigate Obama’s climate policies.

How cool is this? Looks like a heretic is about to enter the Church of the Holy Global Warming.

Don't expect Ralph Hall (R-TX) to be invited to Al Gore's next dinner party

Politico.com has the red hot news:

The likely next chairman of the House Science Committee says “reasonable people have serious questions” about the science connecting manmade greenhouse gas emissions to global warming.

Rep. Ralph Hall (R-Texas) on Wednesday vowed to investigate the Obama administration’s climate policies if he becomes chairman.

“This administration argues that cutting greenhouse emissions as a policy directive is justified by science,” Hall said at a hearing organized by Democrats and billed as a “rational discussion” on climate science before the GOP takes over. “I think this hearing today will demonstrate and should demonstrate that reasonable people have serious questions about our knowledge of the state of the science,” he added.

As a result, Al Gore, the religion’s prophet, may just find himself separated from some of the religion’s profit. And that, friends, is what’s known as blasphemy.

Idiot Alert: Sheila Jackson-Lee cries racism because Rush Limbaugh calls MSNBC host “Sergeant Schultz”

Stunning stupidity. Incredible ignorance. And a remarkable willingness to call damn near anything racism. Texas Democrat Sheila Jackson-Lee ably demonstrated all three on poor Ed Schultz’ MSNBC program.

Texas Democrat Sheila Jackson-Lee ably demonstrated all three on poor Ed Schultz’ MSNBC program.

sergeant-schultz
Please allow us to introduce Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee to Sergeant Schultz. Since you both know nothing, you should get along just fine.

Special Ed was on one of his nightly rants about the unfairness of Rush Limbaugh’s success and how it can only be attributed to raaaaacism when he asked Jackson-Lee this question:

“Congresswoman, is there anything the African community can do about this? The comments speak for themselves.”

“I’m always committed to the First Amendment because as you well know,” Jackson-Lee responded. “You’ve been called Sergeant Schultz. I don’t know that to be your name. I’m a little sensitive to what that is to garner. Is that because you have a name that may be ethnically connected to being a Sergeant? I’m not sure what that is. I find that insulting as well.”

Would it be racist to point out that Sergeant Schultz was a character – a white German character – on the 1960s TV show Hogan’s Heroes?

Would it be racist to point out that Sergeant Schultz’ most famous line was “I know nothing” and that even if that is true, he’s a genius compared to Jackson-Lee?

Would it be racist to point out that it’s pronounced Lim-bah, not Lim-bow.

Seriously, Congresswoman, you should at least be able to pronounce the name of the guy you want to boycott.

“Hey, I thought you said we were coming to see Kabuki. What’s with the music and the costumes? When do the fat guys strip down to their thongs and start wrestling? I’m the President, damn it, and I want to see the fat guys wrestle. Man, if this is going to last much longer, I’m really going to need a smoke.”

Fox News reports what the President was doing when he looked so in need of a ciggie:

It wasn’t quite a Kennedy Center Honors Award show, but the entertainment in Yokohama, Japan Saturday evening made President Obama smile as Japanese performers of traditional Kabuki theater put on a show for world leaders in town for the APEC summit.

Kabuki is highly stylized Japanese singing and dancing which has been a tradition since the 17th century.

“You know what Obama’s problem is? He’s bored because he’s just too damn talented to do what other people do.”

Valerie Jarrett is the most dangerous woman in America. We think you’ll agree when you read about the public fellatio she willingly performs on Barack Obama in a new bio on our manboy president.

We just reached an important conclusion. It’s not like we spent a lot of time thinking about it. No, it just came to us in a sudden flash of insight when we read the quote below. Nevertheless, we’re pretty damn sure this conclusion is correct:

jarrett-obama
"The people love you, Mr. President," said the most dangerous woman in America, "because you're so much smarter than they are."

Valerie Jarrett is the most dangerous woman in America.

We think you’ll agree when you read about the public fellatio she willingly performs on Barack Obama in a new bio on our manboy president:

In his biography of Obama, “The Bridge,” David Remnick, editor of The New Yorker, quotes White House senior adviser and longtime Obama friend Valerie Jarrett: “I think Barack knew that he had God-given talents that were extraordinary. He knows exactly how smart he is. … He knows how perceptive he is. He knows what a good reader of people he is. And he knows that he has the ability — the extraordinary, uncanny ability — to take a thousand different perspectives, digest them and make sense out of them, and I think that he has never really been challenged intellectually. … So what I sensed in him was not just a restless spirit but somebody with such extraordinary talents that had to be really taxed in order for him to be happy. … He’s been bored to death his whole life. He’s just too talented to do what ordinary people do.”

Like we said, Valerie Jarrett is the most dangerous woman in America. The Emperor has no clothes and she’s telling him how nice his suit looks.

Is it any wonder the guy’s out of touch with the American people?

“Sources tell me Obama is unhinged … He’s losing it … He can’t stand Biden.”

The feeling among some people in the White House is that this president is unhinged, that he’s detacted, that he’s losing it, he’s obsessed with critics, very specifically obsessed with Fox news, he can’t stand Biden…

We’re not big Sean Hannity fans. Don’t get us wrong – we don’t dislike him. He seems like a nice guy. He’s not as witty as Rush Limbaugh. Not as compelling as Michael Savage. Not as interesting as Glenn Beck.

That being said, he is connected. He does seem to have sources the other guys don’t have. Like for this little gem.

Hannity: “There are some Democrats that cue me into things. The feeling among some people in the White House is that this president is unhinged, that he’s detacted, that he’s losing it, he’s obsessed with critics, very specifically obsessed with Fox news, he can’t stand Biden, he hates the Clintons, the Clintons hate him. Infighting apparently, and finger pointing is at an all-time high, if the President is brought bad news on the economy he has a meltdown everytime he hears it. And this is what people-and I’m telling you-my sources are reliable are telling me.”

Would any of it surprise you?

Islamic Center of America in Dearborn, MI
November 18, 2010 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM

Fred Phelps and the WBC will picket the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn, MI, the largest mosque in North America, to remind the idolatrous, doomed Muslims that Mohammed was a pedophile and a false prophet. Like most other false religious systems of modern doomed america, Islam teaches rebellion against the Lord Jesus Christ. Muslims claim Christ was merely a prophet and that He did not die and live again. They claim His blood is not sufficient or even necessary for salvation. They shall learn the truth when Christ himself returns!

C’mon, HBO. There’s still time to get Jim Lampley, Larry Merchant and Harold Lederman to Dearborn in time to call the action.

Oh, to be a fly on the wall: Media Matters wins charity lunch with Rupert Murdoch

Media Matters for America won an online auction Thursday to have a “friendly lunch” with its long-time nemesis, News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch.

It’s like Superman breaking bread with Lex Luthor. Or Batman dining with the Penguin. Or Barbara Boxer supping with anyone rational.

arianna-huffington
Arianna Huffington is probably pulling her hair out over this story

The Huffington Post has the dining details:

In one of the more clever moments of issue advocacy in recent memory, the progressive media watchdog group, Media Matters for America, successfully won an online auction Thursday to have a “friendly lunch” with its long-time nemesis, News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch.

The item, which was listed on the site Charity Buzz, was billed as a chance to “propose your business ideas” with the media mogul. The winning bid, according to a Media Matters representative, went for $86,000 — the proceeds of which will be sent to The Global Poverty Project. The estimated value of the lunch is $15,000.

When the lunch will take place is not yet determined. But it will involve the watchdog group’s founder and president, David Brock, along with five additional guests, dining with Murdoch.

“I look forward to this opportunity to have a friendly lunch with Rupert Murdoch, along with five of my invited guests,” said Brock, in a statement provided by Media Matters after the bid was finalized. “I will soon contact Mr. Murdoch’s office to determine a mutually convenient time and place in New York.”

Freud and schadenfreude: Departing Democrats cry in the House, Republicans party

dina-titus
Dina Titus, typical liberal woman (if you know what we mean)

The Hill has the details of the Democrats trail of tears:

House members returned to the nation’s capital for the first time since Republicans captured the House two weeks ago.

Freshman Rep. Debbie Halvorson (D-Ill.), who lost her reelection bid, wiped away tears as she hugged fellow members of the class of 2008, many of whom lost on Nov. 2.

Less than three feet away, ousted Nevada freshman Rep. Dina Titus (D) appeared to brush away some tears in a less obvious manner.

The mood was much different on the other side of the aisle.

Joyful House GOP lawmakers, who will take control of the House in January with at least 85 new members, made no effort to conceal their elation.

Republicans slapped backs, shook hands and laughed with each other, while their dejected Democratic colleagues huddled in clusters consoling themselves.

C’mon, Democrats, buck up. It’s the lame duck session and you still have time to pass a billion dollar bill authorizing grief counselors for all outgoing politicians and a trillion dollar takeover of Kleenex.

Keith Olbermann: Jack Webb? No. Jack-off? Definitely.

We want to point out the empty rhetoric of Keith Olbermann’s Wednesday night attack on Glenn Beck and his 3-part expose of George Soros.

IHateTheMedia.com is a form of civic duty and we’re proud to be able to do our part for the cause. But you know what sucks about it? What really sucks about it? We have to view MSNBC clips.

For example, today we want to point out the empty rhetoric of Keith Olbermann’s Wednesday night attack on Glenn Beck. But in order to provide the correct clip we have to watch the show again, and even worse, and to make sure we get the quotes correct we have to watch it over and over again and listen very closely to make sure we get the transcript correct. And as anyone with a functioning medulla oblongata knows, watching Olbermann even once is painful enough. Watching over and over again is a form of self-imposed cruel and unusual punishment.

But we digress.

In his attack on the three part series Beck is doing on George Soros, Olbermann mocks Beck for making his point with puppets and dismisses the Fox host as paranoid and psychotic.

What he does not do is challenge Beck on a single fact – typical of most left wing attacks on Beck.

Soros, according to Beck, has messianic delusions, despises the United States and provides the funding for dozens of progressive organizations – Media Matters, MoveOn.org, ACORN, Tides Foundation, etc. Many people feel Soros is the man behind the Obama administration itself. The exact amount of money he has funneled to Obama cannot be determined due to the lack of transparency in the collection of foreign campaign contributions during the 2008 presidential election. He supports abortion, atheism, open borders, gun control, legalized drugs, and euthanasia.

Rather than respond to the facts Beck presented, Olbermann lamely reverted to a failed attempt at comedic schtick as a diversion from the real issues.

One can only imagine that Sgt. Joe Friday, with his preoccupation with “Just the facts” would be deemed “unemployable” by the Human Resources department at MSNBC.

Here we go again: Obama says the START treaty remains his “top priority”

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev can rest assured that B. Hussein Obama is working as hard for the Russian people as he’s working for the American people.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev can rest assured that B. Hussein Obama is working as hard for the Russian people as he’s working for the American people.

obama-finger
The President assures the Russians that passing the START Treaty is his number one priority

Remarkably, the Associated Press reports on the President’s unprecedented commitment without the slightest hint of a smirk:

President Barack Obama, capping a far-flung Asian trip of mixed results, assured Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Sunday that getting the Senate to ratify the START nuclear weapons treaty is a “top priority” of his administration.

“I reiterated my commitment to getting the START treaty done during the lame-duck session,” Obama said, noting that Congress returns next week for its postelection session.

In two short years, Obama has developed a long list of top priorities. A very long list, indeed.

As IHateTheMedia.com pointed out back on August 16, 2010, the President has said at various times that almost everything is his top priority, including economic recovery, job creation, free trade agreements, energy security, education reform, student loan reform, exports by small businesses, health assistance to 9/11 first responders, ending homelessness among veterans, hurricane preparedness, H1N1 flu vaccinations, support for military families, strengthening ties with Canada and Mexico, consumer protection and environmental protection.

There may have been other top priorities between August and Sunday, but if so, we glazed over and missed them.

Rest assured that apologizing for this inexcusable oversight is our top priority.

Alvin Greene says he was born to be President

Alvin Greene, former Democrat candidate for senator from the great state of South Carolina, has set his sites on an even loftier goal – the Presidency.

It’s his destiny, his fate, his raison d’être. Or, perhaps, it’s just the drugs kicking in.

Alvin Greene, former Democrat candidate for senator from the great state of South Carolina, has set his sights on an even loftier goal – the Presidency.

alvin-greene
Alvin Greene, former senate candidate, future President of the United States

The Columbia Free-Times reports that and other little nuggets:

Former U.S. Senate candidate Alvin Greene was pacing the second floor of the Richland County Courthouse around 9 a.m. Tuesday in a pair of wind pants, a gray Army T-shirt and a green baseball cap, which an officer later told him to remove when he entered the courtroom without his attorney.

It’s just a roll call,” Greene told Free Times. “At most a not guilty plea.”

Greene was indicted this summer on charges that he showed pornographic material to a college girl on the University of South Carolina campus.
While in the courtroom Tuesday, Greene said he didn’t want to see a story on his hearing in Free Times and if the paper published one he would take legal action.

I’m going to sue y ’all,” he said, adding that the court bailiff was his witness. Instead, Greene wanted to talk about something else. “Write about me running for president,” Greene said. “I’m running for president of the United States.” Greene said he was born to be president and that he turns 35 in August of 2012.

“I’m the next president,” Greene said, while sitting on a bench. “I’ll be 35 … just before November, so I was born to be president.”

Alvin Greene. America’s second black President.

What the hell, he couldn’t be any worse than the first one.

Princess Pelosi cannot, shall not, will not lower herself to speak to Republicans

Remarkable. Congressman Paul Ryan, one of the leading Republicans in the House, says outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has never bothered to speak to him.

Remarkable. Congressman Paul Ryan, one of the leading Republicans in the House, says outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has never bothered to speak to him.

TheHill.com has details of Pelosi’s silent treatment:

Outgoing House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) is the GOP’s primary source of contact within the Democratic leadership, a top Republican said Monday.

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), the incoming chairman of the House Budget Committee, suggested Republicans get along best with Hoyer, the second-ranking House Democrat who will stay in the No. 2 position in the next Congress.

“I get along pretty well with Steny. He’s the only one we really talk to,” Ryan said Monday morning on CNBC. “I don’t know Nancy Pelosi. I had a 30-second conversation with her about six years ago, and that’s about it.”

“…She just doesn’t talk; I’ve never talked to her,” Ryan said of Pelosi. “I’m not casting aspersions — just, Steny talks to us.”

Consider yourself lucky, Paul. Not speaking to Pelosi must be like the congressional version of winning the lottery.

Teach your children well: Is Obama’s Organizing for America guilty of voter fraud?

The Obama Youth guilty of voter fraud? Why that’s just not possible. No, we’ve given it considerable thought and it’s simply not possible. Except that it is.

The Obama Youth guilty of voter fraud? Why that’s just not possible. No, we’ve given it considerable thought and it’s simply not possible.

Except that it is.

As you may know, Minnesota has a goofy law that allows any Tom, Dick or Abdul off the street to vote as long as someone else comes along and vouches for them. Yeah, it’s probably the dumbest election law in America, but this is Minnesotistan we’re talking about, so don’t be too damn surprised.

Students at the University of Minnesota, students associated with B. Hussein Obama’s “Organizing For America,” now stand accused of –- prepare to be shocked — vouching for people they didn’t really know. This is, of course, a felony in Minnesotistan.

We eagerly await President Obama’s angry denunciation of this outrageous election fraud.

Ahem. President Obama?

Obama dodges tough questions at Seoul press conference, press laughs at his feeble excuse

The Teleprompter was out of commission, so the President was forced to ad lib a reason for ending the press conference early. And as you know, whenever you see the words “Obama” and “ad lib” in the same sentence, you’re in for some fun.

The scene: a press conference with the President of the United States in Seoul, South Korea. The foreign press is peppering the President with questions about his abysmal personal performance on his 10-day foreign trip.

Can...not...answer...Teleprompter...is...broken

The President begins to get a little peeved. After all, in his own mind, he is still The One and these foreign reporters are not as subservient as the American press. He sneaks a look at his watch. As the questions get tougher, small beads of sweat begin breaking out on his Presidential forehead. He really wants to get away from these pesky reporters.

The Teleprompter was out of commission, so the President was forced to ad lib a reason for ending the press conference early. And as you know, whenever you see the words “Obama” and “ad lib” in the same sentence, you’re in for some fun.

Let’s turn it over to India’s NDTV for the ensuing hilarity:

By the time 45 minutes had passed, Mr. Obama seemed eager to end the news conference and get on to his next stop: Yokohama, Japan, where he is to attend yet another conference, the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forum. As a president with his own plane, Air Force One, Mr. Obama controls his own schedule. But he cut short his final questioner.

“I’m late for my flight,” the president explained.

“I’m late for my flight.” That’s the best he could come up with? The most powerful man in the world, the man who has the world’s most famous airplane at his beck and call, is afraid he’ll be late for his flight?

We think that NDTV is being too harsh. The President knew that with all these new airline security regulations he would have to stand in line to get his junk checked. And with Bill Clinton in line in front of him, you know how long that could take.

When will they learn? The economic geniuses in New York raised cigarette taxes by 58%, which increased the price of pack of smokes in New York city to a remarkable $11.60.

There's only one solution, New York: Lower the legal smoking age

As you might expect, cigarette sales plunged by 27%. As you also might expect, cigarette sales are up by more than 40% in neighboring states and Indian reservations.

The NY Post reports the “duh” details:

Sales of taxed cigarettes have plummeted a staggering 27 percent statewide since the highest cigarette tax in the nation took hold in July, a Post analysis has found…

“That’s what we warned would happen, and obviously it has come to fruition,” said James Calvin, of the New York Association of Convenience Stores.

“Every tax increase drives more smokers to that dark, shadowy, unregulated, unlicensed, untaxed side of the street. The whole policy is self-defeating.”

If the trend continues, the state could fall far short of the $260 million windfall Paterson expected from the 58 percent tax hike.

How do you solve the shortfall? Liberals would tell you the only solution is to raise taxes.

Ballet buff Michael Moore tells Obama to “Take off the pink tutu”

Michael Moore on Barack Obama: “Please take off the pink tutu, because it’s time to put on the boxing gloves and go fighting for the people.”

Michael Moore had a very productive session on Bill Maher’s Friday night HBO show. He more than filled his quota of absurd statements.

This one, for example, directed at President Obama:

“Please take off the pink tutu, because it’s time to put on the boxing gloves and go fighting for the people.”

Michael, Michael, Michael. You, as the master of irony that you are, should recognize the B. Hussein Obama story as a mere retelling of the tale of the scorpion and the fox.

You knew what he was when you elected him.

That tutu is part are parcel of who the man is and always will be. Vladimir Putin knows it. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad knows it. Hugo Chavez knows it. Kim Jong-Il knows it. Felipe Calderón knows it.

We say keep the tutu on. No one really wants to see what’s under it.

Healthcare hypocrisy: “111 company waivers from the health care bill … means that Obamacare is an abject failure.”

Michele Bachmann, Minnesota’s fiery Republican, went after the Obama administration’s healthcare hypocrisy on Monday, pointing out the abject failure of a policy that has already granted 111 waivers.

Michele Bachmann, Minnesota’s fiery Republican, went after the Obama administration’s healthcare hypocrisy on Monday, pointing out the abject failure of a policy that has already granted 111 waivers (list here):

Bachmann: What an abject failure is this government takeover of health care that fully 111 waivers have been issued? What does this mean? This is an admission of failure by the White House. They may not be admitting it, but their actions are admitting it. Why? Because we see universities and unions and favored companies are getting waivers. What’s a waiver? It’s an exemption. Why do they they need an exemption? Obamacare is a cost driving hiker. It’s a failure.

We were told we had to pass Obamacare. We couldn’t wait. We couldn’t even read the bill. We couldn’t take the time to even debate it. Because why? President Obama promised us, he promised that it would drive down the cost of health care. He promised. He promised.

As Joe Biden might say, this can all be explained in one simple three letter word: Liar.

“Charlie Rangel’s not corrupt. No, siree. He’s just kind of sloppy.”

Charlie may not be corrupt, but he’s guilty as sin according to CNN.com. It just reported, “A House ethics subcommittee found Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-New York, guilty Monday on multiple violations of House rules.”

UPDATE: Charlie may not be corrupt, but he’s guilty as sin according to CNN.com. It just reported, “A House ethics subcommittee found Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-New York, guilty Monday on multiple violations of House rules.”

A slap on the wrist to follow.

It took about ten minutes to figure out why the Democrats are suddenly ramrodding Charlie Rangel’s ethics through the House during the lame duck session while they still have a majority. The whole thing is going to be one big ol’ white wash.

(Oh, we beg your pardon. We used the word white. We apologize for the blatant display of racism.)

Politico.com has the sordid, but not unexpected details:

“I see no evidence of corruption,” said Blake Chisam, the top ethics committee lawyer, about Rangel. Chisam’s statement was in response to questioning by Rep. G.K. Butterfield (D-N.C.). Butterfield is serving on the eight-member panel hearing the Rangel case.

“It’s hard to answer the question of personal financial benefit,” Chisam added. ” I think the short answer is probably no. Do I believe that based on the record that Congressman Rangel took steps to benefit himself based on his position in Congress? No. I believe that the congressman, quite frankly, was overzealous in many of the things he did. And sloppy in his personal finances.”

The most serious allegations against Rangel surround his fundraising on behalf of the Charles B. Rangel Center for Public Policy at City College in New York. Rangel sought as much as $30 million in public and private funds for the center, and he was charged for setting dozens of letters on official letterhead to official donors.

Chisam said that Rangel could have avoided any problems “if he had only followed the rules” laid out for such fundraising in the House ethics manual.

Charlie Manson wasn’t a cold-blooded mass murderer. He was just kind of sloppy.

Bernie Madoff wasn’t a swindler. He was just kind of sloppy.

And the Democrats aren’t hushing up this scandal. They’re just kind of sloppy.
