There’s a reason Karl Rove is a political advisor and not a diplomatic advisor. He’s just not very diplomatic.
He appeared on the O’Reilly Factor and had this to say about New York Times publisher Arthur “Pinch” Sulzberger:
“I thought Pinch Sulzberger was right to worry about why he had to sell his building and his stock is in the toilet, and I’m glad it is… Look I’m from Texas. You take a New York liberal. I met this guy, little Pinch Sulzberger. He is a elitist, effete snob who thinks he know better than the rest of America and has views that are distinctly outside the mainstream of what America is all about.”
C’mon, Karl. Tell us how you really feel. Don’t be so shy. Do you like the guy or not?

She’s makes adult movies. But she’s not just a porn star. She’s also a porn writer, director and producer.
Next week Stormy’s launching a “Listening Tour” across Louisiana. She’s hitting Baton Rouge on Tuesday and New Orleans on Wednesday to find out about the issues and concerns of Louisiana’s regular people.
“I wanted to take over the world and I guess ‘senator’ is a good place to start, right?” Ms. Daniels observed. “I’ve been handed a golden opportunity and I should take advantage of it.”
Daniels doesn’t think her career will be a problem for the voters of Louisiana, because David Vitter, her Republican opponent has his own sex issues. In 2007 he was connected to Deborah Jeane Palfrey, the “D.C. Madam” via phone records.
Stormy Daniels. She may be the first candidate in history to announce in advance that she’s willing to screw her constituents.

AirTran Airways Flight 85 from Cancun, Mexico radioed ahead that the two men had fevers and were sick to their stomachs. It was feared that they had the swine flu.
Luckily, it turned out they were suffering not from the swine flu, but the wine flu. In other words, they’d each had too much to drink while partying south of the border.
Last time we were in Cancun, the wine flu seemed to be an epidemic. Especially around the swimming pool.

Former CIA Director Porter Goss came out blasting about waterboarding last Friday. Contrary to what Pelosi says on this video clip, there’s no question about what she knew nor when she knew it.
Here’s the statement from Goss. It’s remarkably unlike the diplomatic pablum normally served up in Washington, DC:
Today, I am slack-jawed to read that members claim to have not understood that the techniques on which they were briefed were to actually be employed; or that specific techniques such as “waterboarding” were never mentioned. It must be hard for most Americans of common sense to imagine how a member of Congress can forget being told about the interrogations of Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed. In that case, though, perhaps it is not amnesia but political expedience.
Let me be clear. It is my recollection that:
– The chairs and the ranking minority members of the House and Senate intelligence committees, known as the Gang of Four, were briefed that the CIA was holding and interrogating high-value terrorists.
– We understood what the CIA was doing.
– We gave the CIA our bipartisan support.
– We gave the CIA funding to carry out its activities.
– On a bipartisan basis, we asked if the CIA needed more support from Congress to carry out its mission against al-Qaeda.
I do not recall a single objection from my colleagues.
When Goss refers to the ranking Democratic member on the House intel committee, he means none other than Pelosi.
Pelosi’s video is the least sincere sounding denial to come out of Washington, DC since Bill Clinton said, “I did not have sex with that woman.”

The latest scare headline from the government is “Airplane ‘bird strikes’ have climbed dramatically, FAA records show.”
Is this really worth worrying about? Or have the number of incidents increased dramatically just because the number of flights has increased dramatically? And is the number of strikes really high enough to cause concern?
An article in the Los Angeles Times said:
Aircraft at Los Angeles International Airport struck birds or other animals in 940 instances from 1990 through 2008, according to data released Friday by the Federal Aviation Administration.
The strikes involved gulls, hawks, pigeons and other creatures hitting windshields, wings and stabilizer areas.
Only 36 of the incidents, or 3.8%, resulted in substantial damage, records show. There were no fatalities. At least five times, planes reported hitting foxes.
According to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, Air Transport World, there were 650,000 take offs and landings at LAX in 2007. The government bird strike report covers a 19-year period. That an average of just 49 animal contact incidents per year. (In addition to birds, the government report also included foxes and lizards but it’s highly unlikely that any of those animals got up in the air high enough to cause much engine damage).
That’s equal to one incident every 13,265 flights. And that doesn’t mean one bird-in-the-engine incident, because the report indicates that the impacts may well have been on the planes’ wings or stabilizers.
Although we’ll take 1 in 13,265 odds, liberals will not. They will demand that President Obama appoint a new government Bird Czar. He will call together a blue ribbon panel to study the matter and they will propose a new bird tax on all flyers to compensate the birds’ grieving families.
It won’t really solve the problem, but taxes liberal solutions never do.

At least it’s out in the open. We know exactly what the President thinks of the Tea Party protests.
Here’s what he said in a St Louis speech yesterday:
“You see folks waving tea bags around. Let me just remind them I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care cuts over the long term, how we are gong to stabilize social security. Let’s not play games.”
The president isn’t actually against playing games. He just wants us to play the games he’s approved. Some of his favorites are:
Yes, the election of Barack Obama has truly been a game changer.

We think she was talking about the Obama administration’s swine flu policy. But she may have been talking about its illegal immigration policy. Same policy far as we can tell.

Chutzpah, thy name is Barney Frank.
Recall that this Massachusetts Democrat is the ethical paragon who once used his office to fix 33 parking tickets for his gay-prostitute lover before discovering that a prostitution ring was being run from his apartment.
Video #1 – Barney Fwank tells one story in 2005
This is also the same congressman who saw no conflict of interest when his (now former) romantic partner, Herb Moses, served as an executive at Fannie Mae while Frank served on the House Banking Committee and blocked tougher regulations on the banking companies.
Video #2 – Barney Fwank tells a different story in 2009
So we probably shouldn’t be too surprised that Barney Frank has no shame when it comes his role in the Fannie Mae implosion.
But now Frank’s doing a complete about-face and trying to pin the blame on conservatives.
Looks like he’s involved in another prostitution ring. Except this time he’s prostituting the truth.

Joe Biden stuck his piggies in his mouth this morning while discussing the swine flu on the Today Show.
“I wouldn’t go anywhere in confined places now. I would tell members of my family, and I have, I wouldn’t go anywhere in confined places now. It’s not that it’s going to Mexico, it’s you’re in a confined aircraft when one person sneezes it goes all the way through the aircraft. That’s me. I would not be, at this point, if they had another way of transportation suggesting they ride the subway. If you’re out in the middle of a field and someone sneezes that’s one thing. If you’re in a closed aircraft or a closed container or closed car or closed classroom it’s a different thing.”
Of course, a couple hours later the Cheap Veep’s people issued a statement saying Biden didn’t mean what he said. That’s not surprising, since no one in this administration really means anything they say.
We strongly recommend that you follow Joe’s advice. Don’t do anything. Just sit at home in your underwear and surf the net all day. Just don’t go starting any smartass blogs. We don’t want the competition.

The winners have been announced in the article Top 10 Obama Administration limericks.

We read the Huffington Post every day just looking for classic stuff like this: a website called, “Starting Today: Poems for the First 100 Days.”
The website says, “The day before the inauguration we sent out a call to poets we admire to write poems that respond, however loosely, to the presidency, the nation, the government or the current political climate. More than one hundred American poets responded immediately. The first 100 poets were each assigned one of President Obama’s first hundred days in office, and each will write a poem reflecting on the state of the nation and the world on that day. A new poem is posted every day.” Continue reading ““Limericks for the Next 1,361 Days” Contest”

Here’s how General Motors described its transformation into Government Motors in a press release on Monday:
“As a result of its ownership of GM common stock, the U.S. Treasury will be able to elect all of our directors and to control the vote on substantially all matters brought for a stockholder vote. In addition, through its stockholder voting rights and election of directors, and its role as a significant lender to us, the U.S. Treasury will be able to exercise significant influence and control over our business if it elects to do so.”
Just to make sure everyone’s in agreement on the terminology, here’s how Merriam-Webster.com defines socialism:
“Any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods.”
We can’t help but remember all those commentators who were shocked when Tea Party participants called Obama a socialist.

All Obama. All Day. Share your thoughts here if you wish.
Despite the fact that Cap & Trade would more appropriately be called Smoke & Mirrors, the Obama administration is moving the legislation forward.
Democrat Congressman John Dingell doesn’t like it. He doesn’t like it at all.
“Nobody in this country realizes that cap and trade is a tax,” he said to Al Gore in a congressional hearing. “And a great big one.”
Unfortunately, the camera wasn’t on Al Gore at that moment, so we can only imagine that he immediately put his forefinger to his lips and made one of those “Ssssh” sounds librarians make.

This is a very funny video. Liberals should consider it a life lesson. So should conservatives. It demonstrates perfectly that libs don’t understand how the real world works. They simply can’t comprehend that some people would rather pay more for a better product. Or more for a product that’s merely perceived as better.
Guy #1 in this video wants to give his product away for free. He doesn’t know how to cope when Guy #2 sets up business next door offering a better product at a higher price.
Next thing you know the Obama administration will get involved. They’ll say Guy #2 is guilty of unfair competition. They’ll force him to unionize. They’ll say that since he’s a highly-compensated capitalist, he should pay for health care for Guy #1. They’ll say that since Guy #2 is making money and Guy #1 isn’t, Guy #2 should pay higher taxes to subsidize Guy #1.
We wish it were a joke.

Ever wonder how your tax dollars are being invested spent wasted? Here’s an absolutely terrifying example – the John Murtha Pork Barrel International Airport. Located, of course, right in the heart of Democrat Congressman John Murtha’s home district.
It is a monument to the complete corruption of the system in general and John Murtha specifically.
$150,000,000 of your tax dollars have gone to build this gilded memorial to Mr. Murtha in the last ten years. To repeat, $150,000,000.
For that you get three flights a day, all of them to Washington, DC, which makes it extremely convenient for Rep. Murtha.
In 2008, an average of only 20 people per day flew out of the airport. The government subsidizes every ticket to the tune of $100. That means that you – the taxpayer – often pay more per ticket than each of those travelers did.
The airport’s motto should be, “The John Murtha Pork Barrel International Airport, where your money flies out the window.”

Left wing lunatic Ben Afleck does a perfect impression of
left wing lunatic Keith Olbermann on Saturday Night Live.
Is Keith Olbermann a hypocrite? Of course. A congenital liar? Certainly. A lunatic. Without a doubt.
That’s why we’re happy to lend our support to this internet petition objecting to his latest outrage. Click on the link at the bottom of the story to sign the petition.
Dear Mr. Olbermann,
While General Electric, the parent-company of your MSNBC network, was negotiating a $126 billion taxpayer-funded bailout, you signed a new contract raising your salary from $4 million to $7.5 million annually. You have used your show as a platform to call for the resignation of corporate executives accepting excessive bonuses on the backs of taxpayers who are picking up the tab for these atrocious bailouts, yet you yourself have no problem engaging in the same “class economic rape” that you accuse them of.
Please heed your own advice and stop accepting taxpayer money to subsidize your nightly diatribes. Resign or return the balance of your excessive raise to the U.S. Treasury.
Sincerely,(add your signature at the link below)

Looks like no one in the Obama administration can resist a camera. Not even his airplane.

They took Air Force One on location on Monday for a photo shoot over the skies of New York City. Unfortunately, they did it without notifying anyone in Mayor Bloomberg’s administration.
It was instant panic when the good citizens of New York City saw another 747 screaming in low over the skyline. They screamed. They ran. They feared for their lives. And rightfully so.
Perhaps all this could have been avoided with a little
No flights over New York City were necessary. No Air Force One. No fighter jets. No pilots. No crew. No fuel. It would have save you about $$328,825 and a ton of bad publicity.
IHateTheMedia.com proudly offers the President this stunning PhotoShop version of Air Force One over the Statue of Liberty.
Just one thing, President Obama. Could you send us $10 for the PhotoShop work? That’s what the kid next door charged us.
Update: I see Rush is mentioning Air Force One and photoshop all morning. Someone get him this story so he can see it.
“Sorry. I just noticed that I jumped the gun here. Go ahead and move it up. I’d already…I’d already introduced all you guys.” Damn teleprompter.

To be honest, we’re not among those who think the President was born in Kenya. And if he had been, we’re not even sure that would disqualify him as President.
That being said, we find it extremely odd that he would fight so hard to keep his birth records and college transcripts hidden from the public.
According to the Federal Election Commission, Obama paid the Perkins Coie law firm $683,316.42 in the first quarter of 2009 to keep those records from being released. That’s on top of the $378,375.52 he paid them in the last quarter of 2008.
We’re not in on the conspiracy theory, but it makes you wonder.

Alan Duncan is a Member of Parliament in Great Britain. He wants to be Home Secretary, but after last night he may find himself unemployed instead.
The boneheaded MP was discussing Miss California, Carrie Prejean, on the BBC comedy show “Have I Got News For You” when he called Prejean a “silly bitch.” If would have been bad enough had he stopped there, but he didn’t.
“If you read that Miss California is murdered,” he said, “you will know it was me.”
At least we think that’s what he said. It was difficult to tell with his foot buried so deeply in his mouth.
Viewers complaints began flooding into the BBC and Britain’s Broadcasting Standards Authority almost immediately.
“Mr. Duncan has crossed the line,” said the Reverend George Hargreaves. “A senior politician suggesting, even as a joke, that it is OK that Ms. Prejean should be murdered for her Evangelical Christian views is totally unacceptable.”
“If you read that my career is dead,” Duncan shold have said, “you will know it was me.”

Looks like those evil oil companies aren’t the only ones making windfall profits these days.
Republican Congressman Congresswoman Congressperson Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee finally did what we’ve been waiting for – she confronted Al Gore about the vast fortune he expects to make from Cap-and-Trade legislation to supposedly fight climate change.
Gore tap dances. Gore acts shocked. Gore acts insulted. Gore shucks and jives.
Hey, there’s an idea. Maybe they should be honest here and change the name from Cap-and-Trade to Shuck-and-Jive.
Who would ever believe we weren’t political science majors?

Put yourself in this situation and imagine how horrified you’d be.
You’re a reporter. You’re assigned to cover the State Department. The White House gives you a special phone number so you can call in and listen to a Hillary Clinton conference call. You call the number expecting to hear Hillary and you hear:
“Do you have any hidden desires? Well, if you feel like getting nasty, you came to the right place.”
Luckily for any reporters with delicate stomachs, it wasn’t Hillary talking.
Someone at the White House screwed up gave reporters a phone number that was off by one digit. Instead of getting Hillary’s conference call, they called the “Swank” phone sex line.
The recording went on to say that Swank’s services would cost from $2.99 to $5.99 per minute.
Today’s world is full of frightening things. But none – absolutely none – are more frightening than the words “Hillary” and “pornography” in the same sentence.

While the left is celebrating the greatest president in history, the hippest president in history, the greatest orator in history, the…ok…you get the idea. While they’re doing all of that, some people are living in the real world and seeing what an unmitigated disaster this unskilled rookie has become.
An article in Sunday’s New York Post lists the top 100 screw-ups in The One’s first one hundred days.
1. “Obama criticized pork barrel spending in the form of ‘earmarks,’ urging changes in the way that Congress adopts the spending proposals. Then he signed a spending bill that contains nearly 9,000 of them, some that members of his own staff shoved in last year when they were still members of Congress. ‘Let there be no doubt, this piece of legislation must mark an end to the old way of doing business, and the beginning of a new era of responsibility and accountability,’ Obama said.” — McClatchy, 3/11
2. “There is no doubt that we’ve been living beyond our means and we’re going to have to make some adjustments.” — Obama during the campaign.
3. This year’s budget deficit: $1.5 trillion.
4. Asks his Cabinet to cut costs in their departments by $100 million — a whopping .0027%!
5. “The White House says the president is unaware of the tea parties.” — ABC News, 4/15
6. “Mr. Obama is an accomplished orator but is becoming known in America as the ‘teleprompt president’ over his reliance on the machine when he gives a speech.” — Sky News, 3/18
7. In early February, the 2010 census was moved out of the Department of Commerce and into the White House, politicizing how federal aid is distributed and electoral districts are drawn.
8. Obama taps Nancy Killefer for a new administration job, First Chief Performance Officer — to police government spending. But it surfaces that Killefer had performance issues of her own — a tax lien was slapped on her DC home in 2005 for failure to pay unemployment compensation tax on household help. She withdrew.
9. Turkey tried to block the appointment of Anders Fogh Rasmussen as new NATO secretary general because he didn’t properly punish the Danish cartoonist who caricatured Mohammed. France’s Nicolas Sarkozy and Germany’s Angela Merkel were outraged; Obama said he supported Turkey’s induction into the European Union.
10. . . . and he never mentioned the Armenian genocide.
If you’re strong enough to handle it, click here to see the rest of the list.
